Nairaland GeneralThe Future Of African Children And The Existence Of Our Societies by MXD5050(op): 8:26am On May 27, 2019
According to a study released by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Generation 2030/Africa," four in 10 people on earth will be African by 2100, with over 1 billion children living on the continent by mid-century.

The report warns that demographic change in Africa requires strong investment and attention so that "the children of today and tomorrow, have the potential to transform the continent, breaking centuries old cycles of poverty and inequity," otherwise the world risks creating dangerous political instability and myriad human rights disasters.

According to UNICEF (2018). Over 13.2 million Nigerian children is out of school. With this reports, what do you think is the future of African children? If you say doomed then you don't have to worry about apology because that wasn't rude.

According to Abdul'aziz Yari chairman of (NGF) and the outgoing governor of Zamfara state in Nigeria. " We are sitting on a time bomb,” he stressed the need for urgent actions against the increase in the number of unproductive population in the country. How can citizens be productive when teachers are absent in class?
According to Njoku (2018). Poor learning outcomes occasioned by the uncommitted, absent of teachers is one of the biggest reason why there is a gap in accessing education. Over 13.2 million children are out of school in one country alone. Indeed the future of African children would grow from political thugry, insurgency , unproductive etc to bombing the whole continent and ensure it fails to exist.

And how has African parents attended to the future of their own children? If only parents are very much concerned about the future of their own children they would have made sure that their children would be of good values to the society Tunde (2014).

The International Labour Organisation estimates that in Nigeria about 14 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 are involved in a form of economic activity.
Globally, there are 168 million children involved in child labour. Of these, 59 million are from sub-Saharan Africa.
Child trafficking is on it's increase, sexual abuse of children by their own parents is unique to African parents. Giving out little children for marriage is a norm in most part of Africa without considering the future of the child.
What solution do we have left to secure the future of an African child and redeem it's societies from break down? From birth, children look to their parents first to help them interpret the world around them. It should be no surprise then that how parents interact with their children shapes their children’s emotional, cognitive and social skills. These first relationships serve as a reference point for all future relationships, and also influence problem-solving abilities, peer relationships and basic coping skills.

We know that positive parenting can help a child tremendously by encouraging healthy brain development and emotional well-being.

What then does it take for parents to parent their children effectively? Getting more involved in parenting is all that is needed to shape the future of every African child.
According to Fetzer (2018). Volunteering in school, Dad's getting involved, get to know the friends of your children, talk and listen to your children every day is an effective way of being more involved in parenting. As little as this, if every parent and teacher see the need to spend productive time with their children they would be securing the future of their children and foster the existence of our societies.

Six Words You Must Not Say 2 a Male Child
Be a Man And Stop Crying
In some part of the world, it is unusual for a male child to cry. So many parents and young adults feel it is effeminate for a male child to cry. Little did they know that they are destroying their male child.
Crying does not make you a lesser man, Jesus Christ cried when his friend Lazarus died, prophet Mohammed ( peace be unto his name ) just as the Islam's would say, cried when the mother and father died, he also cried when his son Ibrahim died. Gautama, the buddah himself must have cried when they were shaving his head in other for him to leave his home town. Because crying is not a crime in buddahism matter of fact crying is a form of relief from suffering and the main goal of Gautama was to relief people from suffering. These three beings are the founders of the three largest believe in the world, at no time did crying made them an effeminate or affected their leadership qualities.
Here is what your male child develpos at adolecsent when you do not allow him cry when his grieved. He learns how not to show compassion. He develop the mentality of me first. The mentality of alpha male set's in because his mind has been wired to believe that men who cry are weak and seems it is normal for women to cry, they suppress them at every opportunity and develop no regard for women.
Research has found out that these learnt behaviors most times result to inresponsibity of a male child and brings about unruly behaviors.
Research also has identify some benefits of crying. Crying helps to enhance mood, research has it that, sheeding emotional tears releases chemicals like oxytocin and endorphins which help make people feel good, crying helps to improve vision, fight bacteria and lots more.
You may be doing lot's of harm to that child if you ask him to stop crying.

FamilyTanitoluwa The New York State Chess Champion by MXD5050(op): 10:17pm On Mar 20, 2019
TANITOLUWA THE NEW YORK STATE
CHESS CHAMPION
What makes you think an 8 years old child who happens to be a refugee in America could win the New York state chess champion?
Here is what a former president of the United States of America had to say. " the story made me smile. Tanitoluwa, you exemplify a winning spirit - in chess and in life. And kudos to your hardworking parents. You all should stop by my office in Harlem i'd love to meet you".
Trust me, Bill Clinton was right to have given kudos to the parents. Whatever a child becomes in life it is as a result of how the parents raised him or her. So do not say it is wrong when we say the criminals in the street today are not really caused by bad government, it is mainly as a result of poor parenting.
Tanitoluwa had bad challenges so as the parents too. They also faced the bad government of Nigeria and the Boko Haram insurgent. But, being more involved in parenting helped them to be recognized by the former president of America.
What would you say is the reason why your children would not attain such a level? My dear Mummy and Daddy drop those excuses and make the raising of your children your utmost priority. Get fully involved in parenting today and your children would make you proud. @rrcsafrica is out here to help you in case you are having difficulties in parenting.
