This is like the 101th time it's being sealed and unsealed. Under Fashola, this happened almost every month. It usually happens when the politics at the center doesn't seem to favor yorubas. This so called sealing may not be unconnected with the tension at the supreme Court |

Anambra1stSon2: We know what you Obidient are doing, you guys over hyping Otti, imagine if it was Gov Soludo that borrowed 115 million dollars Otti borrowed immediately he was sworn in, still Soludo is constructing more roads, flyover, declared free education, employed 7000 without borrowing, still increased workers salary you guys would take it to another level, because he is not funding media propaganda, if you are not ignorant go and check the support and money Zulum received from FG and Donor Agencies all in the name of war ravaging region see the money Buhari share to agriculture to core northern states, Gov Soludo is far better than Otti Anchor borrowers is from CBN for farmers. Encourage such borrowing to improve food production. That's why can't see Rivers and Lagos despite being borrow borrow state. This particular borrowing was done by farmers in the state not state government |

How i wish Ndi Igbo will field someone of his quality and rally around him. Another igbo man was Alex Ekwueme. Make una de talk nonesense. So why didn't PDP chose Ekwueme in 1999? Why hurriedly bring Obasanjo out of prison and gazette presidential pardon just to stop Ekwueme? |

Politics › Re: All Parts Of Lagos Should Be Shut Down by MXrep: 12:03pm On Oct 23, 2023 |
blabulu2000: first two modern leaders of Yoruba and Igbo people was Awolowo and Azikiwe. There is only one legacy of Zik remaining today….. that is UNN Nsukka. Zik group of companies is not in existence anymore. West African Pilot, one of the biggest media giants of the 40’s has gone extinct.
The legacies of Awolowo remain in our modern times….Tribune, the newspaper of Awolowo is still in circulation today. ODUA group of companies still thrive in our time. Cocoa house still rises tall in Ibadan…. OAU remains a giant among tertiary institutions. The blue chip companies Awolowo brought to Ikeja are the biggest companies in the country today…. The legendary city of Ibadan today remains an Agricultural hub because of Awolowo’s projects that attracted IITA AND NIHORT.
To understand who has a greater DNA of leadership, you need to learn how to separate propaganda from facts.
The new propaganda is that Yoruba people are servitudes to Fulani. The real truth is that the eternal servitudes of the North are from the East. There is no great leader from the region that did not serve the North. Zik, Okpara, Ekweme, Okadigbo…. That were all Northern slaves. Used and dumped by them. Even their greatest warlord of all times came back from exile to serve them.
The most powerful man in Yorubaland today in politics is a Yorubaman. The most powerful man in the military and finance is a Yorubaman…. That is far removed from the concept of servitude.
I implore every Yorubaman and woman to seek homegrown solution to Yoruba issues. We are capable of finding a sage of our time like our fathers did when they championed Awolowo.
Say no to sons of Zik…. Friendship with them is dangerous to the desire for a golden age for Yoruba people. Say no to Obidient movement. No son of Zik should ever evolve into a national hero. They have crossed a lot of line with Yoruba people and for this, they must pay the ultimate price in our time like they did in the times of our fathers. Weaklings. You don't understand the the forces of individualistic capitalism that drives Igbos. Continue looking for a hero that will protect you but I can assure you that nothing will save you from our heavy hands. |

AlexBells: Any building of at least 10 floors needs an elevator and special foundation. It will take at least 6 months to be completed and would take at least 500 million. It is simply just a building, with 500 Millon, do you know how many hectares of land you would be able to cultivate ? Nobody is against highrise or skyscrapers, the issue is that it this point it is premature and the people are poor and hungry, food security, working health system and security is more important than high rise, if the 3 to 7 story we build without lift is not high rise enough, then relocate for now Peasantry mentality |

Not really a skyscraper, medium rise of at least ten floors |

AlexBells: You can’t be a governor with a mentality like this, build high rise and power it with what when electricity is out, have you considered the cost of gas? You guys would just be talking like ronu people how many firms would be able to rent such high rise if there Would be no elevator and if it includes elevator what’s the cost of running it, the new city is proposed to have its own power plant, wait till then, it doesn’t make economic sense to build high rise in Enugu with the unstable light unless if there’s dedicated power plant The ones in Lagos, Abuja, few in PH how do they power their elevators? I personally saw functional elevator inside Polo Park Mall Enugu with my koro koro eyes. I think our governors run away from erecting high rise due to cost of pile foundation |

horsepower102: One thing I would like to see all cities in Alaigbo to do in the future is to set out hectares of land that will never be developed. It would be used to build parks and public squares where people can gather in the evenings after work or on the weekends. We don't have much land. Meanwhile enough open space are reserved already. Can you believe this large expense of open space is in Aba despite it's density?
