Christianity EtcRead What Pastor Adeboye, Kumuyi Prophesied About Ekiti State – by Mykel4God(op): 6:58pm On Dec 26, 2014
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Church, have prophesied what will happen in Ekiti State.
The men of God prophesied that there will be a brighter future for the state, saying God will intervene in the various problems confronting the state, otherwise known as the Fountain of Knowledge.
Pastor Adeboye and Pastor Kumuyi made the prediction when they visited the Governor’s Office at Ado Ekiti, on evangelical visit during the Christmas celebration.
They prayed that Ekiti State would witness a breakthrough and total transformation and also prayed for the state governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, and some members of his cabinet.
Adeboye, who was in Ekiti for a programme tilled ‘Let’s Go A-fishing’, revealed that it was not in his habit to visit governors in their offices, except on invitation.
He prayed that his visit to Ekiti State would usher in good tidings and bring rapid transformation in the coming years.
“Everything you propose to do for Ekiti State will succeed .God will take Ekiti to greater heights. You are the burden bearer, come and bear the burden of the governor in all areas of his life. As from now, we shall continue to hear good news from Ekiti State,”Adeboye said.
Meanwhile, Fayose, while speaking earlier, expressed his concern over the economic problems confronting the state and stated that only prayers can get the state out of its present predicament.

PoliticsPDP Must Be Voted Out To Salvage Nigeria – Aregbesola by Mykel4God(op): 6:47pm On Dec 26, 2014
Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said that Nigerians must massively vote against President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party as the first step towards rescuing the nation from insecurity and bad governance.
According to a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Friday by his media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, the governor said this when labour leaders in the state met him to submit a report of workers’ effort to increase the state’s internally generated revenue.
According to him, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progresssives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has come at the right time to rescue Nigeria from total destruction just like he did in 1983 when his coup ended the second republic.
He said, ” What Nigerians require is a careful easing out of President Jonathan and an installation of a government that knows what to do with power to transform the lives of the masses.
“Our people can distinguish between the selfish and the selfless. Those who voted for me in the August 9 election in Osun have another assignment on their hands. If you voted for me and you don’t vote for Buhari and our representatives in the next elections, you have missed it.
“Don’t fight. Don’t carry cutlasses, guns or any other thing. Just go to the polling booths on that day and vote for our party. That is the power we all have to rescue ourselves from these elements.
“If we love ourselves, our towns and our country, we must all promote Buhari and campaign for him vigorously.”
Aregbesola explained that Buhari came to rescue Nigeria from the jaws of death in 1983 when the retired general toppled the administration of President Shehu Shagari of the defunct National Party of Nigeria.
Buhari’s coming efforts this time, the governor, was also to rescue the nation from the grip of the PDP led government who he said had destroyed it to a large extent.
The governor, who said it was curious that despite the huge fund realized by the nation from sale of crude oil in the past years, Nigerians were being made to suffer greatly just some months after the crash of the price of oil.
He said, ” Goodluck Jonathan and PDP cannot be excused from the various crises bedeviling the country today. A country that sold crude oil above $100 for more than three years must be asked what it has done with the huge resources that accrued to it.
“The responsibility for the economic tragedy that we are witnessing in Nigeria today rests permanently and absolutely on the PDP and its government at the federal level. There is no way that party and its government can be excused. As a first step to salvage our nation, we must vote out PDP.
“How can we explain that oil sold for more than three years above 100 dollars per and yet we are faced with this calamity without any redemption in sight? How can we explain it?”

Christianity EtcShould God Be Worshipped Through Images? by Mykel4God(op): 8:41pm On Dec 18, 2014
“I was taught that images would make me feel closer to God.”—Mack.
“Our home was full of religious icons. We thought this made our house pleasing to God.”—Herta.
“We would bow to certain images. We gave no thought to how this act made God feel.”—Sandra.
HOW do you feel about those statements? Many believe that religious images help them to worship God. Is this view correct? More important, how does God feel about the matter? Consider what his written Word, the Holy Bible, says.
God’sViewofReligiousImages
Religious icons and idols are representations, or symbols, of anything that serves as an object of devotion or veneration. They include crosses, statues, pictures, or any other likeness of things in heaven or on the earth.*Flags can also be objects of veneration.
The use of such objects in worship goes back thousands of years. Hence, in 1513 B.C.E., when giving the fledgling nation of Israel the Ten Commandments, God clearly stated his view of religious images. He said: “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion.”—Exodus 20:4, 5.
Note God’s twofold prohibition: First, his people were not to make images for worship, and second, they were not to “bow down to them” or serve them. Why does our Creator forbid the making of images? One reason for not making images of God is that “no man has seen God at any time.” Jehovah is not made of physical matter but is a spiritand lives in the spirit realm. (John 1:18; 4:24) A reason for not making images ofanythingis that God insists on “exclusive devotion.” “To no one else shall I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images,” he says. (Isaiah 42:cool For this reason, it is also wrong to make an image as an aid to worship. When an Israelite leader named Aaron did so, Jehovah was deeply offended.—Exodus 32:4-10.
WhyNotBowDowntoThem?
Regarding idols, the Bible says: “A mouth they have, but they cannot speak; eyes they have, but they cannot see; ears they have, but they cannot hear.” Then it adds this sobering warning: “Those making them will become just like them”—lifeless!—Psalm 115:4-8.
Idol worship is also an act of injustice. Ask yourself, ‘How would I feel if I gave my child an expensive gift and he walked away and thanked a total stranger or even a lifeless object?’ That may help you to appreciate how our Creator and Life-Giver feels when others—including lifeless idols—receive the credit and worship that are due him.—Revelation 4:11.
Think, too, how degrading it is for a human—made in God’s own image—to venerate an inanimate object! (Genesis 1:27) Concerning some who did just that, the prophet Isaiah wrote: “To the work of one’s hands they bow down, to that which one’s fingers have made. And earthling man bows down and man becomes low, and you [Jehovah God] cannot possibly pardon them.”—Isaiah 2:8, 9.
What makes false worship even more offensive to God is that it is, in reality, the worship of demons—God’s enemies. When the Israelites abandoned Jehovah for idols, “they went sacrificing to demons, not to God,” saysDeuteronomy 32:17.
Did the early followers of Jesus Christ venerate images or use them as aids to worship? No! Jesus’ apostle John wrote: “Little children, guard yourselves from idols.” (1 John 5:21) The bookEarlyChurchHistorytotheDeathofConstantinestates: “Nothing could possibly have been more odious to the early disciples than image-worship.”
TheRightFormofWorship
Jesus said: “The true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him.” (John 4:23) Yes, God wants us to know him as a person—his likes, his dislikes, his standards, and his purpose for us. (John 17:3) In fact, that is why he had the Bible written. (2 Timothy 3:16) Also, because God “is not far off from each one of us,” we can pray to him anytime, anywhere, and without the help of religious images.—Acts 17:27.
“When I entered a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I saw no images for worship,” said Sandra, quoted earlier. “The Witnesses used the Bible to show me God’s qualities and requirements. Thus, I learned to pray so as to be heard by God. I now feel that I have a true understanding of the Creator and a close relationship with him.” Yes, Sandra learned how refreshing and liberating Bible truths really are. (John 8:32) You can too.http://www.google.com/en/wol/h/r1/lp-e

PhonesNairalanders, share Your Phone Scam Experience Here! by Mykel4God(op): 9:22pm On Dec 17, 2014
I remember those days when I was still phone freak but had little experience and was duped by phone scammers, then brand new BOLD 2 was N45,000 but someone me that i should go to computer village at lagos, that I will be able to buy it at a low price,so I agreed and went there with a friend of mine holding N17,000 and hoping to come back home with a brand new BOLD 2
We got there and begin to price BOLD 2 but most of them said they could sell it nothing less than N44,000,after walking around and pricing different phones for about 2hrs,we later saw a guy with sugar coated mouth,he said he will be nice to us that we should bring N25,000 for BOLD 2,I didn't know what to do again than to start begging him to collect the N17,000 with me cos I was very tired and I didn't want to go home empty handed
After so much pleading,he later agree to sell it for us,he test it in our presence and ask that can we see it is in perfect order?, we said 'YES',he then went away and came back with a phone box and handed it over to me,I gave him the money and thank him a lot but he warned us not to check it in his presence, cos police are everywhere and they could arrest us for doing illegal business,he then disappear into the crowd

I and my friend left computer village with the tought that I am now a BB guy,to cut the story short,we reach motor park and my friend said 'ore ja kini yi,je ka gbose BB wo', and I answered 'SURE', I unpacked the so called phone, but to my surprise,as I press the red(NO) button,my finger went inside without any obstruction,it was then I begin to smell that I have been duped,I open the case and found cassava (akpu, fufu) inside,I could not cry because I was warned,my friend was very angry with me to the extent that he didn't talk to me for almost a month

That was how I was duped of N17,000 by phone scammers

GOD punish the devious igbo guy
