If you wanted to see the First Lady, you will pay $30,000 – $50,000 and if you are seeing the President, you will pay all that you have gathered in your lifetime.”
According to those in the know, the former president and his wife Dame Patience Jonathan, were not the only ones whose meet-and-greet price was hawked by aides.
Apparently, former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, was also part of the charade.

The general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has once again used his mathematical skills to explain another important issue.

The brilliant mathematician cum general overseer took his time to talk explain in both mathematical and biblical terms, the two linear equations to success. The general overseer during a programme organised for leaders and potential leaders at the RCCG national headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute-Meta in Lagos spoke about how he turns to mathematics even when he does not understand a life situation, bible passages and all. He reiterated how mathematics can explain lots of things.
He used the biblical king Nebuchadnezzar as an example, urging all leaders to be always allow God in whatever they do. He also advised them that in all they do, they should let God, who put them in position of power, lead them. He recollected how he prophesied that members of the church will become presidents and vice presidents, how he said world leaders will come and worship in church and how lots of the members at that time didn’t believe but said amen to the prophecy.
“It is not by your power that you become anything, it is God who gives power and any power that be is from the Almighty God. Whatever you see happening, God is involved and that is why He instructed us to obey those in authority because God puts them there.
“Put your trust and limitations in the Almighty God who is unlimited. Great men are limited by sleep. No matter how strong you are, you will sleep but we have Almighty God who neither sleeps nor slumbers. No matter how powerful you are, you are limited by death, incurable disease but thank God who always heals our infirmities ”. “It takes the Holy Spirit to make the impossible possible. Several years ago, when the Redeemed Christian Church of God was still very small and I mean very small, I told them what God said that presidents will come here to worship but their amen was very weak.
“I moved further to say that God says more than that. God said presidents will be members of the church. They will be ushers but the members then find it difficult to swallow that but mark my words, whenever God speaks, the Holy Spirit sanctioned it. “Also in our London church which was fewer than us here in Nigeria, I told them that royalties will come to the church and worship; they giggled and said amen. I went further that God said nobody will be in government without our permission and they laughed”,he said

As Nigerians await the ministerial nominees that will be forwarded to the Senate on Monday,The Nation has revealed some of the names that will feature on the list.
They include the immediate past governors of Lagos and Rivers states, Babatunde Fashola and Rotimi Amaechi respectively; a former governor of Ekiti state, Engineer Segun Oni, Professor Pat Utomi of the Pan African University, the Bring Back Our Girls campaigner, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, the former chief of army staff, Lt-Gen. Abdurahman Danbazzau, and Dr.Tanimu Yakubu Kirfi, the former chief economic adviser to the late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
Presidency sources affirmed that the president was keen on having a small cabinet but it might be difficult as the 1999 Constitution stipulates that every state of the federation must be represented on the Federal Executive Council.
Buhari has also consulted with senior citizens like the former president Olusegun Obasanjo, the former chief of army staff, Gen. T.Y. Danjuma,the former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the former vice president Atiku Abubakar.
A source said:“The President has been consulting widely on the list of his ministers. All things being equal, some candidates from ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, ex-Chief of Army Staff, Gen. T.Y. Danjuma, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and the newly-elected Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki may make the list.
“Some of these heavyweights have submitted advisory names but it is left for the President to reject or accept them.
“Governors will have less input into the cabinet. The President is actually fine-tuning the list of ministers which he will soon send to the National Assembly. We are hopeful that in the next one week or two, the legislature may get the list.
“As I am talking to you, the President is keeping the list to his chest. I am aware that some ex-governors may make the team on merit.”
On the provisions of Section 147(1-3),one source said:“It is difficult for the President to manage a cabinet that is less than 36 because of the constitutional provision.
“The President may however reduce the perks of office of Ministers and make the posts less lucrative except for genuine ones who want to serve the nation. So in the light of 147(1-3), the President is handicapped and he has to run the government with at least 36 ministers unless the constitution is amended.”
When contacted, one of Buhari’s aides said:“The President is still keeping the list of ministers to his chest; he has not disclosed any list.”
Meanwhile, the APC has finally accepted the outcome of the election that produced Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate president.
