Popular Media executive and founder of Ebonylife TV, Mo Abudu is constantly taking Africa to the world and we love it. Mymediaafrica.com reports.

The media entrepreneur was given the 2019 Médailles d’Honneur in Cannes at MIPTV last night.

With this achievement, Mo Abudu makes history as the first African and Nigerian recipient of this prestigious award, given to senior executives who have made their mark in the global television industry, as well as contributed to the development of the international television community.

Mo Abudu was one of the 4 recipients of the award and she says:

Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more student developers into open source software development. Students work with an open source organization on a 3-month programming project during their break from school.

The accepted Students will work with a mentor, will also become part of the open source community. Apparently many will become lifetime open source developers!

Google Summer of Code is open to university students, age 18 and older in most countries.
