KBARBIE: To me d easiest way after killn d catfish is by pouring hot water on it, afterwhich u just rince d fish.Yeah , i tried it too but it was't easy to wash thereafter, also, it was like 'parboiling' the fish! |
I was just wondering if my 6-month+ old boys could develop bow legs from using baby walkers. They love running about the empty room in them. Any personal experience please? |
Hi peeps, do you find it difficult to remove the slimy 'yama-yama' from the skin of catfish? I used to use alum but found out that it affects the taste of the fish. Then I later heard of salt which to me wasn't exactly effective, then warm water, which sometimes makes me run out of patience. Please, if we have professional ones here, could u offer useful suggestions? Thank you. |
I started watching this telenovela recently and found it quite interesting, but since I resumed from leave, I haven't had time to watch it regularly. Mariana and Scarlett are two sisters that succeed in the fashion world. Their differences cause many conflicts in the rise to stardom. And as if fate wanted to test them even further, they end up falling in love with the same man, Roberto White, a millionaire from the textile industry. Many confrontations later, they come to understand that they must work together to get around the obstacles that life has put them. Did u watch the last episode? What was aired? |
parisienne: Most babies like bananas, I give my daughter fruits eg soft mangoes, soft pawpaw and u can bled pineapples for them too. U can also add the fruits to their custard or oats, very nutritious.Oats? Are you serious a 6 month old can take oats? I'll try it too if so. Tnx. |
ujubekee: HOW TO PREPARE SOYA BEANI remember when we were growing up. Mum had another method which produces the milk, and we used to do it every Saturday. Whatever quantity we would use, soak it water overnight, cos the skin is seriously attached to the bean. Peel the next day, then take for grinding or use blender. Sieve like u r sieving pap then boil. Add sugar to taste. Hmn delicious! |
Thank you all for your responses. I am getting a clearer picture of what to offer them. I'm checking out the food thread right away. tnx. |
myowncomputer: Hi, thumbs up for not turning anyone's request down. I hope mine won't be an exception! I would like you to send the maggi cookbook to my addy: myowncomputer@rocketmail.com Thanks in anticipation.Missy_B thanks, I received it |
chronique: Ok. When u mean solids, are u talking about any other food apart from breast milk? If that's d case, then start wit lil meals like cereals. Later u can give them noodles, bread(u cud chew a lil bit to make it soft). when giving them meat or fish, chew to be extensively soft. When u want to give them stuffs like rice, chew it first till its soft. For solids like semo, amala, wheat, eba, etc. make dem very light.Thank you Chronique. Yes I mean apart from breast milk.Yeah, someone mentioned chewing some food types, but I always thought I'd introduce some pathogens from my saliva (not that I don't brush o! lol). Also, someone mentioned not giving salt to babies till they are 1 year old, so how will the soup be palatable? Thanks for ur addition. |
Hello everyone, I'm a first time mum of two 6 month (minus 1 week) old boys. I know its best to speak with the paediatrician, but I just couldn't help but wonder what Nigerian mums feed their babies (and how to prepare them)when they intend to introduce solids. I would be glad to know what you gave ur child or maybe someone else you. Thank you. |
Hi, thumbs up for not turning anyone's request down. I hope mine won't be an exception! I would like you to send the maggi cookbook to my addy: myowncomputer@rocketmail.com Thanks in anticipation. On another note, perhaps to reduce the stress, maybe you could simply upload it here so that people could easily download, rather than (people like us)disturbing u all d time. Thanks. |
