Stop being a hypocrite you cannot talk about the unity of Nigeria without talking about igbo marginalization except you want to wish it away as Nigerians have always done but it keeps coming back to bite hard.
Saintsquare:
You are very observant,I thought its a thread for Nigerians in South Africa, but he couldn't just avoid bringing Igbo marginalization brouhaha hence making it Yoruba vs Igbo fight.

Just as I suspected. You are a btribal bigot. Your first statement gave you out.
Your type is why this country refuses to overcome its challenges. FYI, I got Igbo childhood friend who is married to an ibira lady. Both recently relocated to SA and I am in prayers that they don't get caught up on this senseless skirmishes. You should learn to look at issues with humanity in focus than wound up on Nairaland with a heart filled with tribal hate. It will do you no good.
Mr. calling me a tribal bigot does not make me one, why did you fail to answer any of the questions raised if you are no bigot sir, we all have friends who are not from the same ethnic stock that we love and care for that changes nothing, what is your position on the Igbo situation in Nigeria don't sweep that under the rug if you want genuine unity sir all this must be brought to the table and addressed if you want genuine national unity.

The truth be told, if nigerians engaged in legitimate businesses in south Africa and lived peacefully with them they won't be attacked,if you travel to south Africa you will notice that the drug ring is controlled by the Igbos while the scam and forgery ring is controlled by the yorubas, and after that they still go ahead and flaunt money and live an arrogant and flamboyant lifestyle, sleeping with south African girls at will, while the south africans just look on.that's enough reason to be angry.
exactly, and that is enough to brew hate and envy.

All I can deduce from op's comment is that he has deep hatred for certain tribes in Nigeria. I am neither Hausa, Igbo nor Yoruba. I do not support on nigerians who go out there to tarnish the image of Nigeria. But as a Nigerian (irrespective of which tribe you are), the best you should be doing is encourage Nigerians to desist from taking laws into their hands and find their way back home. Instead, you delight yourself in highlighting the differences we have as a nation. FYI, most third world countries have tribal differences but when issues that affect every national arises, they resolve it better as one not by division. Even in the US, they have racial tensions but that won't warrant any sort of racial division when it comes to matters concerning its citizens. If that to you is hypocrisy then find another country out there to call your own.
the problem with Nigerians is that they are okay with the status quo as long as they are not affected or when Igbo's are the ones affected, you refer to other countries and their tension or racial discrimination, yes true it occur every where but the question begging for answers is are they encouraged there, the answer is no they nip it in the bud immediately if it is established that they was any form of racial abuse, discrimination or whatever in those places mentioned. Now coming to Nigeria everybody wants to act like there are no issues instead of drawing the lines and making these crimes and offenses punishable under the law, you speak of Nigeria you speak of unity now tell me your position on Igbo presidency. It should not be all well when the going is good for you and not your brother, you should speak against injustice on all for unity to truly exist in Nigeria. I am no tribalist I simply believe in sincerity no matter whose is ox is gored.

jealousy of what? Honestly why would someone be jealous of Nigerians?
Dude, take it easy, I am guessing you are South African, the purpose of this thread is not to create more tension or promote hate, neither do I want hate to be encouraged on this thread, I am Nigerian and I condemn the xenophobic attacks by South Africans on fellow Africans or any national for that matter, in the same weight I also condemn the actions of my Nigerian brothers in South Africa, however please do note that their actions might stem from the fact that they feel both the Nigerian and South African government are not doing enough to end the attacks on foreigners but that is not enough for them to take the law into their hands.

The OP must be a racist
I see some of you were expecting me to massage your ego with statements like Nigerians are hardworking, South Africans are lazy, South Africans are jealous of Nigerians, Nigerians have swag and taking their women, well sorry to disappoint you, while some of these or all of them can be true does that mean Nigerians should not respect their host anymore? Or live a crime free life, All the above ego massage is also applicable in Lagos but you never see Igbo rise against the Yoruba's in Lagos even in the face of xenophobic, tribal and anti economic policy against the Igbos in Lagos and Nigeria at large even when these acts are seen to be clearly aided by The government.

Everyday here on Niaraland we see us calling our fellow Nigerians drug lords, drug barons and insult them but when South Africans confirm the Veracity of such claims that Nigerians are drug pushers and say they don't want it on their land we revolt, does that mean Nigerians well in this case (video) Yorubas support the drug trade, why revolt for a thing so shameful. Do you people think other foreign nationals don't know what happens in Nigeria, if Nigerians do xenophobic acts to one of their own and laugh about it as if it were a comedy skit why hurt when others do it to you on their home front, if this is not hypocrisy then I don't know what is. Maybe Nigerians think the world is not aware of what happens to their very own citizens here in Nigeria. Only the Truth can set you free.

mumu op
Nigerians and hypocrisy, if it was Igbo that was spoken in that video you will see all of them screaming "Igbo's respect your host". All of you hailing these Nigerians now for this unguarded act is it now safe to say it is okay for Igbo's, Fulani's, Ijaws, and other ethnic group to protect themselves from xenophobic acts that occur on a daily basis in Lagos. Why can't yorubas take their own advice instead of disgracing Nigerians living in diaspora. Igbo's are known to live in every single country in every continent of the world yet they have never been any report of this sort of aggressions by them or against them in any country, not even in South Africa.

This video clearly show yorubas are the people perpetuating these nefarious acts in South Africa, If South Africans condemn a certain evil or crime, which is a crime punishable in all country of the world, and even some of these crime punishable by death in some countries, now tell me why yorubas should have a problem with that, yorubas should help them rid their country of such crime, please sentiments apart Nigerians should condemn this action for the sake of all Nigerians at home and in diaspora. Many of you taking shot at me have never left the shore of this country and are only used to the barbarism that some Nigerians pride itself in. We all want a Nigeria of our dream let's build it and help those who have achieved theirs sustain it. Thanks and God bless.

I am sure we are all familiar with these photos.

Some of their villages are more developed and civil than the Abule slum that you dwell-in in Lagos.
