Anitaamich: Good morning mamas, please my 8 weeks old baby makes this snoring sound when she sleeps.. she sounds like she has catarrh but mucus isn’t flowing out from her nose, I only notice dry mucus when she wakes up in the morning. I also feel she has mucus in her throat cos she tries to cough out sometimes but nothing comes out. She also vomits breastmilk sometimes after feeding. Please how do I deal with this? Is there a way I can loosen the mucus so she can breath freely? Don't be offended ma, 8weeks old is still fragile to try any medications. Its like symptoms of catarrh. You can use some portion of Shea butter mix with little mentholatum and rub across baby's nose bridge not inside nostrils, chest, back and feet. You can also apply on babys fontanelle (I used palm kernel oil mix with mentholatum but it can leave stain). It really helps in decongesting mucus. And please try and avoid fan and baby should always wear socks and cap and also covered in showel. For the throwing up of breastmilk after feeding pls burp baby after feeding that is you place baby on your shoulder or baby sit on your lap while you rub or tap his back gently until he belch. Pls google "how to burp baby" so can understand better. Hope this helps |

hunniesuzie: The problem with how your opinion is stated though is statements like the bolded will make some mums feel inadequate and can eat away at people's confidence and self esteem. We're supposed to build each other up as women. Some SAHMs are too busy with chores/other kids, some aren't well educated, some children learn better in group settings, some children learn better and take authority figures more seriously... so many things that can lead to a SAHM choosing for her child to go to school
It's great if you can home school your child till PhD level, but parents who choose to start school before 3 years old are not money wasters who have nothing better to do with their money
[ quote author=myrygurl post=74445863]
Someone dropped a question on a public forum for an open opinion. Am not giving advice I repeat am not giving advice its just my own opinion and I see nothing wrong with it. Its not as if am prescribing a medication or something. Its left for the one asked for the opinion to pick whichever his ok with.
All those stuffs you mentioned your kids do is something a child of that age should do. It all depends if the mum dedicates her time for that. If its socialising i wouldn't agree less. All this explanation is totally uncalled for. You decided to pick a simple opinion twist it and interpret it in a complex way sha. I never mentioned anything like home schooling. My statement only said it is not necessary/compulsory for a stay at home or less busy mum to enroll a child below 3yrs in school.. Or is it the waste of money i said? OK it's not waste of money for those who have the money. FloraEC: Toor Whatever that rocks your boat You should have known this earlier. You should also learn how to Jump and pass an opinion that is different from yours. helovesme: It is 'stuff' and not 'stuffs'.
This is one of the reasons why enrolling a child in a school at an early age is encouraged. Thanks you... Madam that doesn't know typo pls correct the above. As if it was not when your right hand could touch your left ear from your head that you were enrolled in school. Does that stop you from being a grammar teacher? Awon fuel sprinklers! It's a new year |

eribooboo: Saying they learn nothing is really disappointing cos dey do learn alotss, cos dey dnt make sentences n read doesn't mean dey learn nothing....my daughter strted at 1yr 10month n I can say she really changed within 3 month...she socialise more(no more mummy n I gum gum),she counts to 10,identify and names colors, strted saying one or two words wen she feels like n has learnt to arrange her toys back in its box after playing (which has bin a BIG relieve for me) and such more, she even eats better too sef, always wanting to self feed...i tired some of these things myself while she was home but it just didn't work...its not abt bin buoyant abeg FloraEC: The kind of advice you people drop on this thread nawa My daughter started school 22m, I'm a SAHM She learnt many things, she can socialize, count and write 1-10, recognize some colors, say Aunty etc All these I tried teaching her on my own but she refused to listen maybe because I'm mummy. Is not about being buoyant or not, is choice of the parents. Small small with the advice please Someone dropped a question on a public forum for an open opinion. dapotemi: Hello All, pls at wat age can I put my daughter in a sch, she's a year and six month this January 2019 and wifey is already disturbing that she's suppose to start sch now, infact she's seriously searching for a good sch. I seriously have my doubt. Shes just babbling and I think it's a waste of money. My colleagues at work feel dsame way. I need your opinion pls. It depends actually. Children whose mum are busy or working class starts school very early. But when the mum is less busy or stay at home mum, then I really see no reason why a child below 3yrs will be put into school. When most babies below 3yrs hardly talk let alone communicate. And besides most pre nursery are just 8am-12pm just 4 hours unless you make arrangement for after school services. What are they even learning sef? Nothing mostly nursery rhymes. Waste of money i must say. Unless of course you are on the buoyant side then you have no issues. |
