God has different links by which He blesses His people. One of such is hospitality. He connects, visits, communications and blesses His own people through hospitality. Hospitality is a practical theology that has strong biblical root (c.f.Matt.25v33ff). Though, it can be termed in many ways, the bedrock of hospitality is a loving comfort. The word hospitality can be found in the English Standard Version of the Bible 4 times (Rom.12v13, 1 Tim.5v10, Heb.13v2, 1 Pet.4v9). In summary, these verse show that hospitality is both an action and affection, receiving and loving a stranger, the act of giving comfort to the discomfited. It is the act of offering a guest a place to sleep and food to eat.

Religion / CAC Living Water Daily Devotional 17th September 2021 – What Else? by MzDammielite20(f): 7:15am On Sep 17, 2021
A major breakthrough in medicine was the discovery in 1847 by sir James Simpson. His discovery saved millions of lives. Later in life, one of his students at the University of Edinburgh asked him what he considered to be the most valuable discovery of His lifetime. To the amazement of all who expected him to refer to his medical discovery or feat, He replied, "My most valuable discovery was when I discovered myself as a sinner and that Jesus Christ is my Saviour." What an unbelievable statement from a scholar of that calibre! It becomes more amazing and encouraging in a world where at such a level, many have foolishly turned atheist, claiming there is no God, not to talk of accepting the Personality (Lordship)of Jesus Christ.

Religion / MFM Daily Devotional 12 September 2020 – Persistent Prayer by MzDammielite20(f): 7:33am On Sep 12, 2020
The weapon of persistent prayer produces outstanding results.

This is the type of prayer that Daniel prayed for 21 days on a particular issue. He refused to give up until he received an answer. He just kept praying until after 21 days when the angel of the Lord came to him and said: “Daniel, since the first day, the Lord answered but when I was bringing the reply, the prince of Persia met me and has been fighting with me”. If Daniel had stopped praying, the angel would not have had enough power to come with answers to him.

This incident in the Bible shows that there are three heavens. There is the heaven which we call the sky or firmament; where we see the sun, the moon, etc. The second heaven is where evil spirits reside. Remember, the Bible talks about spiritual wickedness in high places. This is the headquarters of principalities and powers. Then, there is the third heaven, the throne of God. Prayer becomes hard sometimes because it has to pass through the first and second heavens before it gets to the third heaven. Evil forces try their best to prevent it from passing through to the third heaven. It must struggle to get there before the expected miracle can happen. To obtain an answer to your prayer, the prayer has to reach the third heaven. Hence, the need for persistent and persevering prayers. There is praying in the spirit and praying with understanding.

When you are praying with ...

DCLM Daily Manna 10 September 2020 – God Of Mercy

I was told a story of two boys who went on a journey to a village. They bought certain things. But some people who met them on their way back, beat them up and took away all that they had bought. When they got home, they reported their plight to their father who promised to assist them to prevent a future occurrence. So, during their next trip to that village, their daddy gave them a small ring and instructed them to use it on anybody who harassed them. He assured them that since the ring carried enough power, if they slap their victim with it, he will fall down and begin to urinate.

During the journey, the older of the two boys had the ring on. However, nobody harassed them. But, they themselves now started to look for trouble. They deliberately provoked other people, so that they could use the ring on them. They really trusted in the ring. They decided to fight one particular man. But, something happened. Mistakenly, the ring on the finger of the older boy dropped on the floor and they could not...

DCLM Daily Manna 9 September 2020 – Life Is Short

While I was in the primary school, I attracted many enemies amongst my classmates for no fault of mine. In those days, the teachers usually do not whip those who performed poorly in class tests and examinations by themselves. Rather, they assigned that duty to those who performed excellently well in the class. Since I was doing well in my academics, I was always asked to whip the poor performers. After I had whipped them, they would then gather together and wait for me at the gate after school hours to beat me up thoroughly.

This terrible situation continued for a long time. Then one day, I purposed in my mind to do something that would put an end to the unpleasant situation. I bought the peppery balm called Chinese balm. Shortly before the school ended on a particular day, I rubbed my palm with the Chinese balm.

As usual, my classmates that I had whipped for ...

TOPIC: No Greater Power (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 6 September 2020)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Nehemiah 1-3

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 9:15-27 (KJV)

15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

DCLM Daily Manna 6 September 2020 – Everyone Is Liable

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: The mystery of positioning is that the moment you are truly where God wants you to be, everything you would ever need to achieve success will beckon on you.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: YOU WILL PURSUE YOUR PURSUERS, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MESSAGE:

God’s power is incomparable. Our God is greater than the greatest. Sometime ago, the daughter of a certain sister had mental problem. She was very wild. She took her to the hospital where she was given a special room because the drugs were not working. She bounced on anybody who tried to enter into the room. One day, the sister listened to a message entitled, “You, the sleeping giant, stir up yourself.” After listening to the message, she went to the hospital and asked to see her daughter. They told her to talk to her from the window. She said no, that she would like to enter the room. She entered and when the daughter saw her, she became wild. But the sister said, “In the name of Jesus, you wild beast, come out of her now.” It was as if she gave a punch to the girl. She fell down and straightaway she said, “Mummy”. She became calm as she was delivered from the evil spirit troubling her.

The sister was shocked that she could do it. God will not commit Himself to those who would just sit down at home, or to men who after Sunday services, would sit down at home and watch television, who are not interested in house fellowship or group activities...

TOPIC: Praise And Worship

OPENING PRAYER: Lord, give me an understanding of what it means to praise and worship You.

RCCG Sunday School Hymn

MEMORY VERSE: “And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.”. – 2 Chronicles 29:30b

BIBLE PASSAGE: Psalms 95:1-6 KJV (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 6 September 2020)

1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

INTRODUCTION:

Generally, people view worship as the slow and melodious songs that often require the closing of eyes and lifting hands in reverence to God. While praise is as the singing of songs, usually fast ones and dancing to God. However, these two words mean more than just singing, dancing or raising of hands. Praise and Worship have many things in common but they are not exactly the same. Understanding these two concepts can take us to a new realm in our relationship with God.

Praise And Worship Described

Praise And Worship Compared

1. PRAISE AND WORSHIP DESCRIBED

There some Hebrew words in the Bible translated as PRAISE one is “Yadah” meaning: Praise (Gen. 29:35), give thanks (Psalm. 18:49), or confess (1Kings 8:35).” Another is “Zamar” meaning sing praise (Psalm 9:2; 92:1). The third is “halal” (the root of Hallelujah), meaning of praise, honor, or commend (Psalm 18:3; 150:6). This is also “barak” meaning to bless (Psalm 103:1-2). All this terms contain the idea of giving thanks and honor to one who is worthy of praise. In the Greek language, praise takes it’s root from the word “aineo” meaning to praise (Luke 2:13), and from “doxa” to give glory (Luke 17:18). Praise is the expression of one’s gratitude and respect towards the deity, especially in songs. Hence, Christian praise can be defined as the expression of gratitude and respect towards God, especially in songs (1Chro. 16:23-25). Praise is the joyful recounting of all God has done for us (Psalm 48:1-2; 100:1; 2Chro. 29:30). Praise is a prescription of God’s “Righteous” People (Psalm 22:23; 33:1) in fulfillment of their vows to their maker (Psalm 61:cool. Praise is a good means of letting the world know about the greatness of God (Psalm 145:11).

Open Heaven 5 September 2020 – Sealed With Sacrifice

The Hebrew word of worship is “Shachah” which means “to bow low or to prostrate oneself” (Gen. 18:2; Exodus 34:8; Psalm 29:2). The Greek word that is most often translated as worship in the New Testament is know as “proskunao” which means to “Fall down before or bow down before” or “to kiss like a dog licking his masters hand or to prostrate oneself in homage or reverence (John 4:25; Revelation 22:9; Matthew 2:11). To worship is to show reverence and adoration for a deity. Christian worship therefore, is an expression of reverence and adoration for God (Psalm 95:6-7, 89:7). It is usually the solemn acknowledgement and appreciation of the personality of God (Psalm 100:3). True worship is an attitude of the heart (Matthew 15:8-9; John 4:23-24). A person can go through the outward motions and not be worshiping (Psalm 51:16-17; Matt. 6:5-6). Therefore, to truly worship God, we must let go of ourselves. We must be be willing to humble ourselves before God and surrender every part of our lives to His control (2 Sam 7:18)

Religion / DCLM Daily Manna 5 September 2020 – Value Of Human Life by MzDammielite20(f): 7:07am On Sep 05, 2020
A professor of medicine in a world-acclaimed medical school, in an attempt to explain the sanctity of life, posed a medical situation, which was an ethical problem to his students. He said, “Here’s the family history: The father has syphilis, and the mother has tuberculosis (TB). They already have four children. The first is blind. The second has died. The third is deaf. The fourth has TB. Now, the mother is pregnant again and they come to you for advice. They are willing to have an abortion, if you decide they should. What do you say?” All the students recommended abortion. Satirically, the professor said, “Congratulations” but added, “You just took the life of Beethoven!” Reason was that the medical history which he gave was that of Ludwig Van Beethoven, who some experts in music widely considered as the greatest pianist and composer of all times.

From our text, it is obvious that God bestows great value on human life and rights. He treasures life so much that He made ample provisions for its protection, preservation and maximum safety. Commandments were given to separate three cities of refuge, where the ignorant slayer might flee to, so there won’t be any case of innocent bloodshed in the land.

Unfortunately, in many countries especially in Africa, innocent blood is being shed almost on a daily basis either for political, religious or ritual purposes. Governments seem to be unable to handle these killings that have kept the populace in perennial tears and insecurity.

If the ...

Exploring The Demands For Financial Dominion! – Bishop David Oyedepo

A certain minister was sent to a town in the West Africa coastal region. When he got there, he decided to visit the chief priest whom he leant was the one causing trouble in the place. The chief priest said, “My dear pastor, I will demonstrate something to you now.” He picked a piece of maize and placed it on his palm and instantly the maize started to grow on his palm. The pastor watched him and was very scared.

The chief them asked him if his God could do that. He did not have an answer and he quickly looked for an excuse and ran back to Nigeria. Later, another minister was posted to the same place. He also went to the chief priest, who began to demonstrate his demonic power again. He put the maize on his palm and it started to grow, as usual. The brother watched. And the priest said, “Can your God do this?” The brother said, “No, my God does not waste time on things like this, but I will show you a little bit of what my God can do. He then opened his mouth and ...

Religion / Exploring The Demands For Financial Dominion! – Bishop David Oyedepo by MzDammielite20(f): 10:48am On Sep 04, 2020
Topic: Exploring The Demands For Financial Dominion!
Welcome to the concluding part of this teaching! I hope you were blessed by last week teaching. This week, we shall focus on: Exploring the Demands for Financial Dominion!

From Scriptures, we discovered that we are blessed primarily to be a blessing after the order of Abraham. Then, as we become a blessing, blessings will keep multiplying over and again in our lives. As it is written, And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:3). Therefore, if we don’t know why we are blessed, we may soon become unblessed (Proverbs 3:10). Also, according to Scriptures, it was clear that Jesus walked practically in financial dominion. He was asked for tax and He said, Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee (Matthew 17:27). Remember, we live in a Kingdom that is ruled by mysteries. The Bible says, And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables (Mark 4:11). Mysteries are divine secrets embedded in Scriptures and when discovered, they go a long way to reposition us for dominion (Ephesians 3:1-5). Mysteries may not make sense to the natural mind but they confer mastery on the lives of believers. They always appear too simple to be true but in that simplicity lies the power of God and they are often authenticated by testimonies not arguments. Giving is one of the mysteries of the Kingdom. For instance, the Bible says, Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the ..
