Fellow Nairalanders
Please I need help with REVIT architecture designs… I am a construction student and I think the only area where I’m lagging in construction is architectural designs… I want to know this before I finish up with my academics which I will be through with before the end of next (if all things being equal).
I will gladly appreciate links to video tutorials and if there is room for personal tutor too, I’ll appreciate it more.

Thanks

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What's The Longest Time You Have Ever Been Jobless? by mzeefitz(m): 10:13pm On Aug 03, 2021
Mustiboy:
Was jobless for over a year during my teenage years, not working, not learning any craft, not in school.

During that time, I was always in my room, brushing up my skills in a particular field alone on my PC and smartphone. That skill pays the bills today.

I was seen as lazy then, little did they know I was cooking something delicious for myself.

No regrets over my jobless years.
In other news, Nigeria has a bright future ahead. I had a dream about it.
Tell us what that job is boss…

Fashion / Re: Ladies, Why Do You Wear Waist Beads? by mzeefitz(m): 10:02pm On Apr 01, 2020
The reason why young girls wear it is because it trains them how to walk maturely as from young age.
If you don't have a good hip size, start wearing the waste bid, it will make you walk in a way that even those that have hips will be appreciating your moves. That's all.
While walking with the beads on, you wouldn't want it to fall. So you adjust the way you walk. By so doing, you will walk smarter in aware.
Although, some use it for diabolic purposes, but most times it is for the afore mention reason.

There is absolutely nothing like a broke / lazy good man. You can never know the real him till he has some money. You can never know if he’s faithful, except he got money in his pocket!!

So ladies, don’t waste your time, if he doesn’t have a source of income, he is a waste. Always remember that your time and attention is an investment, don’t waste it on some dude who got just sex to offer. Don’t let people single shame you that you go for anything and don’t ever agree that you can only offer sex. They know you have a lot to offer.

YOU ARE A WOMAN!!

Education / House Of Representatives Speak On Scraping Of Post UTME by mzeefitz(m): 10:57pm On Jan 31, 2020
The House of Representatives was on Wednesday divided over the motion to stop the conduct of examinations of post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the country’s higher institutions.

NAN reports that in a motion moved by Rep. Ademorin Kuye (APC-Lagos), during the plenary session, the lawmakers debated for and against the requirements of the motion.

Kuye, in the motion, had asked the house to urge all higher institutions to stop the post UTME/JAMB screening examinations.

He also sought the house to mandate the Committee on Tertiary Education and Services to call for a joint meeting of the Ministry of Education, JAMB and the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The mandate was to develop an acceptable standard of JAMB examinations in conformity with the requirements of academic institutions in the country.

The lawmaker said that JAMB which was established in 1978, was saddled with the responsibility of conducting matriculation examinations for entry into tertiary institutions.

He argued that Nigerians paid monies to purchase the JAMB/UTME forms to qualify them to write the examinations to gain admission into higher institutions of their choice.

This is after payments and undergoing rigorous registration and examination processes, the said higher Institutions subject students to another internal examination/test called POST UTME/JAMB on payment of yet another fee without any consideration for indigent parents and students, he said.

He said that the payment of fees for the screening exercise conducted by the institutions was not backed by any law and the proceeds therefore are not accounted.

This leaves room for manipulation and exploitation and lack of acceptability of the fund generated.

Supporting the motion, Rep. Benjami Chinedu Obidigwe (APGA-Anambra), said that the post UTME examinations conducted by the universities was just to expolit our children.

Our education in the country has resolved to some form of extortion.

The universities corner the funds from the screening exercises because they failed to account for such revenue during their budget defence.

Post UTME has no education value to our system. I hope that the committee will look into this to put an end to it.

Rep. Benjamin Kalu (APC-Abia) also said that there was need to stop the conduct of such examinations because the universities could not account for the utilisation of funds.

Kalu also said that the conduct of the post UTME test by schools was casting aspersions on the integrity of JAMB.

Granted, there are leakages, but JAMB has to sit up. What we have over seas is interviews.

When you pass the examinations you are been invited over for an interview not the way JAMB is going about it here.

Speaking against the motion, Rep. Samuel Chinedu (PDP-Anambra), said that the post UTME/JAMB examinations complemented the actual JAMB examinations.

All they do is cross check what JAMB has done. Admitting students who are not properly checked is rather worse than the financial implications, he said.

Also speaking against the test, Rep. Aniekan Umanah (PDP-Akwa Ibom), said that the universities were exploiting the internal leakages on what JAMB is doing.

There is need for this motion to be revisited so that we can have a common ground.

The house, however, resolved that the Committee on Tertiary Education and Services interface with JAMB on the conduct of the post UTME/JAMB by higher institutions and report back within four weeks.

You dont know anything about them. My office here in Abuja is just a stone throw from icpc office. They dont do all these media trials and noise. If you see the number of cases being handled by them daily. One professor came for his sabatical one year leave with us and when we go out together, he points at VCs, Registrars and Bursars of so many universities to us who came to appear before icpc for corruption charges. Even a friend that is one of the directors in efcc told me that 10% of cases being handled are the ones you see on social media. If you know the amount of corruption allegations with 99% of them being true handled by these agencies per day, you will weep for this country and take a chill pill on this present government. People don finish this country tey tey. As in i cant say more.
Waoh...
Thanks for the enlightenment bro...

Career / Please I Need An Advice by mzeefitz(m): 11:19pm On Dec 07, 2019
Hi everyone!
Please I need online certification programs that is highly recognized at both national and international level...
My currently level of education is O.N.D in building technology.
I need online certificates that can complement this as there might not be chances of going back to school (except for NOUN)
As I type this, I'll be working with a company soon that will be paying me a satisfactory amount.
But I don't want to lose the job for school and also I don't want to neglect the power of education too.
P.S I'm not a fan of programming or computer science, which means I can study it as course.
What I need now is something like construction management, business, project management, real estates management and others that are related.
Thanks and God bless

Hi everyone
I have an iPhone 6s with the following problem
1. Bad battery
2. It gets hot when data is on (an engineer told me it's because of the faulty battery)
3. Menu button
4. Rear camera( it will be shaking sometimes)
5. The touch pad ( although it is still calibrating, but I'm thinking of replacing it with new one...)
6. I need to upgrade it too- from version 9 to ios13.
Please how much can this cost me and I'll also appreciate it if I can see a breakdown of the cost .
Thanks
