Hahaaa...this cracked me. Relax (just have to say it even though I know you can be anything but relaxed at this tiime grin), it isn't about which of the charities you selected in Fact Finding. Just keep praying and your prayers shall be answered.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m):
This trend is a reflection of life: starts with so many uncertainties. meeting new people with common interest, finding peace and joy in sharing love and worries with each other thereafter gives one a sense of hope. Sometimes we get on each other's nerves, but often find ways to resolve our differences. Life's full of hopes, dispair, uncertainties, and more hopes. However they all eventually fade into memories, giving room for more hopes, despair and uncertainties. The joy, sadness, and sometimes even promises and resolve that you will hold on, you will always be there no matter what, fade along. Suddenly what seemed to matter so much matters no more. And what seemed to matter less becomes the center of your existence. Such is life. A lesson everyone should learn from. It teaches us to realize what's important to us and to, no matter how life treats us, never forget and take them for granted. Good morning, folks.

Yeah I agree with you. I was asked to conclude my medicals before 18th, although I was told 22nd earlier.

Dfavouredone:
I think Nlng will get to us asap after the medicals. During my medical, the clinic admin told me, he want to reply NLNG mail to them requesting the names of people who have completed medical so far.

From the rush to get those who ve completed medical even before the given window expire, these guys really want to wrap this up asap.

Thanks, @tallest101. I wish you safe trip, bro.

No specific date just your center. But you have until June 22 to complete the examination. You would have to send your preferred dates before going though.

People who gave outside Nigeria locations have not gotten theirs. Confirmed from my friends here who also got raptured. I am currently outside Nigeria too but would be in Lagos next week, so I gave my location as Lagos.

Medicals to be done on or before 22nd June. (2 weeks window)

Hello @artmedia, Did the email give specific details on where you would be doing the Med? I am assuming the emails sent are to those currently in Nigeria. Correct me if I am wrong, pls @Boshemann, @sexyjob, @Cashme28 and @Faroak

Regret mails were received. I also know someone who got one.

Spatman:
I very strongly doubt if any regret mail other than those of 25th Jan is received (sincerely pray my doubt is wrong)! Reason being not a single soul on Nairaland testify to personally receiving one. Further more if indeed out of over 400 some are called, some uncontacted and some regrets then I think the last group should have more people than the rest and we would have seen some nairanlanders with such. In 2007 success mails were sent way before regret mails I observe.

My hope is still very much ALIVE too though!

It's a terrible feeling similar to being on the Japanese Death Row. Your date and time are not stated. U just wake up and ur cell mate has been whisked away, after 5mins the light bulb flickers for some seconds.
Honestly I feel the pains of those who have not been contacted yet. Just a few minutes after @artmedia posted he had got his male, I kept refreshing my inbox and I was quick to feel sad and disappointed. I thought "how could they just contact a few and treat me as if I don't exist?" after a few minutes, I saw my male. What I am trying to say is we have come a long way and our patience have really worn out. So it is very easy to feel dejected at this point. But holding back your males can only mean there is a need for you, otherwise it isn't hard to dish out "reject" males. At the end of this loooong wait, I believe we will all sing songs of praises. I can't wait to rejoice with you here when more success males trickle in.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 8:42am On May 09, 2016
I can't but completely agree with your objective argument, bro. You are right we would probably be talking about train 10 now if OBJ had still been in charge. Let's pray the new government would live up to expectations on this regards.

princewealth:
when I consider the number of TRAINs built under OBJ's watch, I kind of feel we should ve been talking about TRAIN 10 insteaf of 7

http://www.google.com.ng/url?q=http://sweetcrudereports.com/2015/08/24/how-obasanjo-ordered-nnpc-to-retain-nlng-dividends-to-fund-new-trains/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwia3prVoszMAhWnBsAKHagPCCMQFggUMAA&sig2=CTiLFjehq7EqTsFKGdIisQ&usg=AFQjCNFT4i5aqBvhDcZtQiFcYiXewiPkhA

One thing is to initiate a good framework, another is to have the political will to see it succeed.
In all honesty bro, I by no means don't think my comment negates the new found optimism.
For me, I feel that POST 2007 story of NLNG isn't that encouraging considering TRAIN 1 to TRAIN 6 project execution rate compared to TRAIN 7 ' stories that touch's the heart'
If NLNG must move forward, they must reintroduce THE CATALYST used during Obj regime that made it possible to achieve so much with so little a time, or better still search for more active and better catalyst to speed this TRAIN 7 and subsequent TRAIN REACTION FORWARD.
I strongly believe in the present administration.

I wasn't correcting the obvious omission of a word, bro. I am impressed u didn't take offence. I was only wondering why u said u missed OBJ considering he wasn't outstanding in fixing any of the existing oil and gas bottlenecks that we have had for decades. Also your statement kind of negates the new found optimism the MD has in the new government.

After a very long meeting I was surprised to see over 60 new posts and I tot the males don finally drop...

but it didn't take a long time to figure out all the rant was about 2 things: Contact NLNG and enquire about the recruitment status or Wait for "due course".

It is obvious that there are two sets of people: those who think there's absolutely nothing wrong in enquiring about their status irrespective of when the company would decide to let them know (probably cos they are aware of what's obtainable in other climes where companies are obliged to constantly update their candidates (by updating the candidates' online account/and or sending correspondences); and those who don't feel comfortable to enquire (probably for fear of being reminded of the privilege or favour done to them in considering them thus far, or just simple extraordinary patience).

My take home? Even if the discussion had continued till "due course" no agreement would probably still be reached. The reason is simple. THERE IS NO CLASH OF INTEREST WHATSOEVER. Enquiry by the enquirers does not in anyway affect the due course of the due coursees.

Enjoy your weekends, everyone!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 8:00am On May 05, 2016
No one is asking anyone to do a recruitment that they don't have need for. All what's been requested is for NLNG to conclude a recruitment more than two years after its commencement. It started as per business need and not CSR and I don't see why that is now brought up as an issue

majekdom2:
Bro, I am not against the interest of this thread. In all sincerity, I want the best for the GT hopefuls. This recruitment is not a CSR. It is as per business need. No structured organisation recruits permanent staff if there is no business need for them considering the capital involved- i.e training et all. The CSR positions are usually contracted out. I know of a friend that wrote a test at intels on 2nd April. Would you love to resume and months after you are made redundant. Your mails will not hasten anything. You are not a customer, they are not a retail service provider whose income depends on individual customer feedback. No one says they don't have business need for GTS but not at the moment thus the reason you are yet to hear from them. So, just be hopeful.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 3:34pm On May 04, 2016
Guy, relax. I didn't mean bombarding them isn't a good idea and that you have no right to inquire about your status with regards to the recruitment. What you call "bombard" and what I call "irritate" are one and same thing. God knows they don't respond to email and the only way to hope for a response is when they are forced to. So we are saying the same thing there. There is also nothing "uncivilized" in sending multiple enquiries at the same time, I am only saying it is more civil (which means courteous and polite, not to be misunderstood with civilized) to send a harmonized enquiry. It would be obvious that we conspired to send the enquiries at the same time so why not enquire with a single voice?

Lastly be reminded that what I said is just my opinion of how I THINK it would be better to go about it.

ceetee:
Uncle pls what are u saying. So we will be “uncivilised” by sending enquiries?

The aim of any bombardment is to gain attention, not just being another mail in their inbox.

Personally I have sent several mails and have received less than 1 response.

Irritate them? Unbelievable. Ideally as candidates we have the right to enquire about the exercise as we pls. Even in their mails they say “For any enquiries, kindly send a mail to….”
Not saying the bombardment will work but we can at least try.
So u want to hide under the umbrella of a “group”. I hope u won’t turn out to be a leader who resorts to forming committees to solve every problem or take any decision.

May fear not dictate my actions in life.

Father let your will be done
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 2:42pm On May 04, 2016
Rather than sending multiple emails with the same content and hoping it will irritate them to giving a response (to which of the multiple letters should they respond?), we should be more civil and make a more organised presentation. We could either compose a single email that represents the entire hopefuls (Capturing so in the subject, content and signature) and hope it will carry enough weight to demand a response, agree on someone to make a call on behalf of the group, or post on twitter as suggested by @Delgado47

I see the email option as providing a better opportunity and would better pass the message of a collective decision. All those who agree to participate would "put down their signatures" by providing email addresses (that available with NLNG) that would be cc in the email sent.

I would definitely be the first to provide me email add to be cc-ied after sighting and agreeing with a well written letter to NLNG.

Dfavouredone:
I know there are some dudes who can write a more tightly worded email, but let me just drop this draft so we can start from there.

Good day,

I am one of the successful candidates at the concluded NLNG graduate trainee assessment centre exercise conducted last year.

Please, i wish to humbly request for an update of the recruitment process and a likely time successful candidates will be called. This is to help me manage my plans as this recruitment is central to me at the moment.

Thanks in anticipation of a response.

Best regards,

Dfavouredone.

Modified versions of this can then be use to bombard them (@ their email: Recruitment.Online@nlng.com) by all candidates starting from next week Monday (9/05/2016), or tweet it @nigeriaNLG and @BabsNLNG. We use a combination of the options to send the different versions of the message, including posting it on their FB timeline.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 4:53pm On May 03, 2016
I don't know if this was meant to sound like a threat or it is genuinely a statement of fact. But yeah, why don't they do that? People have sure lost their zeal for this job, me inclusive.

vantage7:
Well in that case, why don't they just cancel this recruitment and conduct a fresh one to avoid hiring people who've already lost their zeal for the job and the company at large?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 4:31pm On May 03, 2016
freeradical:
Calling some people to resume is not a problem. NLNG reserves the right to the number of candidates it wants to employ from this recruitment. What is expected of them is to act like a responsible company and get this thing over with. If one is not picked now I doubt it will make any difference because the zeal to work for NLNG has really grown cold on every body. Almost everyone is now planning his life beyond NLNG so there is no big deal. NLNG is only a means to end and not the end in itself. There are endless possibilities for us out there and only those that seek these opportunities will find them.

By the way I do not think anyone has been called yet because from the circle of peeps I know still left no one has been contacted. And it is quite a substantial number.
