Abeg where is bro moniker @Save2Server? Where has thou been hiding? |
Still does not make any sense for my comment to be deleted after I have chosen my words very carefully simply because someone else breaks a rule does it? Otherwise I could simply quote your comment and break some rules if I don't like your comment. prelinctus: |
Was there any rule in deleting comments by MOD? From my experience, comments can be deleted simply cos someone asks a MOD to do so and so he does irrespective of what the content is. I have had my comment deleted simply cos the person who quoted me "leaked some sort of secret". prelinctus: |
It is therefore my prayers that those not picked after passing AC would be waitlisted rather than dropped unceremoniously. This na serious competition and only the chosen would make it. May we all be among the chosen. forkadict: |
View point? You call referring to a reputable minister "Liar" and the minister of finance "novice" as someone's view point that may not be in line with mine and something u enjoy and yet you find expressing my point of view "not choosing my words carefully"? Really?! FYI it wasn't my intention to add anything to a discussion I view as grossly subjective and unintelligent. I hope I have the right to do that. Thanks CHM11: |

It makes me feel very uncomfortable when I hear people make careless and perhaps illogical arguments. I am not even referring to your calling Kemi a novice or calling Lai Mohammed "Liar". I however find it pedestrian to cite the "indictment" of Amaechi by the panel set by Wike as a proof of victimization by the current government. I don't know if it is your expectation that all Wike could do was to set a panel, spend taxpayers money, indict Amaechi, but rather than take him to court because the panel lacks jurisdiction, expect the judiciary to take up the case for them while they pass judgements on newspapers. It is even more baffling that it is APC, an opposition party and to which the subject belongs, that you expect to take action on their report. You also referred to all those under investigation as belonging to PDP only. What is even more interesting is that you are so bold in making your comment. Smh... airsaylongcon: |
Lol...the guy blood was hot he couldn't connect the 52 and the previous post about a lot of viewers. |
Hard luck, @whatsupguys. I would prefer a closure of any sort than an indefinite wait. The sky is your limit and may God open wider doors for you and the rest of us. whatsupguys: |
@whatsupguys said he did. eunore1: |
Is "the best of your knowledge" based on your single email or those of a few around u, or an out of the box knowledge? dchem: |
If my dream is anything to go by, expect results soon. It wasn't so much of a good dream though ![]() |
People are finding solace in "This is the year" as if knowing it won't take more than a year from now is meant to bring comfort because we are in a new year. Whatever the case, may this year bring forth good tidings. Happy New year, folks. |
Congrats @forkadict and @gj....may ur appointments not b closures but openings to even bigger opportunities. |
CHM11:One doesn't have to be resident in a country to know about it. I also haven't met anyone who based his assessment of Nigeria on what Lai Mohammed has said, although I think it is pretty obvious that he sounds more honest than what we had in the previous Minster Labaran Maku. It is a global village now. People praise whats happening in China, Malaysia, India etc yet they have never stepped a foot in those countries. There are obvious and potential positive developments with this government, some unprecedented. We now know stealing is corruption. A change from a government that NSA pays billions to a media house, governors buy billions of Naira houses in cash and ask for documentation cover up, CBN smuggling out billions of dollars for campaign, criminals getting celebrated, pardoned, or promoted, a country smuggling billions of dollars into another in a private jet, that alone is worth celebrating. But even more! Now we have a country where revenues are declared, money saved from every nook and cranny, a government that proposes an all time high budget when crude is at its all time low! those that have allegedly mercilessly milked the country are facing the music, our soldiers morale is high, we no longer hear stories about how they flee the battle fields, our neighbours involved in the fight now treat us with respect and we no longer have to bear someone calling our president a coward who lacks the will to fight the insurgents. That's a change worth celebrating. You talk about us being in deep mess and hanging on a thread but what's amazing is your asking the current government to take responsibility for that or the last one not to. It is unbelievable that even after all the mind blowing stealing and abuse of office that have recently been exposed ur expectations are to throw that into the bin and "start working". You might never know how close to a mess u were and that u shall forever take for granted. It is unimaginable what would be of Nigeria if it had continued on the previous trajectory. Isn't it logical to want to clear away the mess and prepare the ground for a good foundation than to continue with what has always been, and what will certainly appeal to u: build a new Nigeria on the persistent false foundation? For me, I am smart enough to know we are in this deep shit cos of our past leaders' inhumane greed and selfishness. It is my strong belief that had we had this government decades ago and it was able to maintain a consistent trajectory, we would be one of the celebrated countries in the world considering our numerous resources. From the military regime down to the last government it had been one monster after another. Now is the chance to make Nigeria great for the government has the will and it is my prayers that we never go back to the dark days. |
I have argued a lot with a good number of Nigerians who criticize the current government to be able to put them down to 3 categories: Category 1: The Dark Ones These are people who are intensely obsessed with the previous government for tribal, religious or financial gain purposes (or a combination of any). They are vicious and angry people. They are the "blind, deaf and dumb". They can't tell and care less if you light up their houses or sing to them beautiful songs. They are negative and see only negative in anything the government does.. They are so quick to sight how slow or directionless the current government is (as a believer of the Newton's laws of relativity, I am still digging to find out their reference). To them, fighting corruption and blocking leakages are waste of time and the government should focus on reviving the economy (oblivious of the fact that economy itself can't grow with financial leakage and corruption). These are a set of dark and angry people. Stay away from them COMPLETELY! Category 2: The Smart Fools These are people who have travelled wide and far. They have seen what real developments are. As a result, they compare Nigeria to these countries and consequently become dissatisfied with little improvements. These are usually very smart people and would sometime try to reason with you. One big shortcoming of these kind of people is that they are too unrealistically idealistic. They forget that no two conditions are exactly the same and no matter how similar they are, exactly the same solution cannot be applied. They ignore completely the condition of the country that was inherited. These people need facts, not reasons, to be convinced, and unlike ordinary people, they need loads of them. You would have to put them on iteration, feeding new facts with every cycle, for a very, very long time before they accept the country is now on a right track. Stay away from them UNLESS YOU HAVE FACTS AND FIGURES and loads of them. Category 3: The Sheep These are the descendants of The Dark Ones. They scout around and try to equip themselves with all sort of negativity about the current government simply because that's what their mentors (The Dark Ones) flaunt around and that's what it takes to "belong". They often strongly believe their negativities with the current government are their objective and independent opinions. When faced with facts about the current change in the country, they become confused. Instead of yielding, they choose to resign and collapse every government that ever was and ever will be as "One corrupt body, with nothing to offer". The next day, they start all over again, criticizing the current government exactly in the same way the day before. And the circle goes on and on. Stay away from them UNLESS IT IS A FRIDAY NIGHT AND THEY ARE BUYING THE BEER/WINE. |
I remember that. Just didn't think they were being serious. We keep waiting then. dway4ward: |
Is it certain that some folks already know their faith? What informed u of that? Guest01: |
So it seems. Came online to see that a comment I quoted @save2serve has been hidden only cos someone asked the admin to. I was surprised when I went looking for it to delete/modify it when I found it wasn't there. Isn't this a trespass of my space and right? davide470: |
You wish! They would simply ignore your email MrSneh: |
@NanaF, are u the lawyer who had her AC in Abuja on a Thursday? NanaF: |
Lol! Goodnight, guys. Will check my mail my tomorrow morning if NLNG sent me my success/rejection mail forkadict: |
I wish we are all on same page. Some of us (@forkadict et al.) are on P + 1 page o! All they are waiting for now are the offer letters with their "oyel moni" remunerations quoted . Saved2Serve: |
Please are these documents different from the ones previously requested and I am guessing also presented during interviews? moryamaina: |
Nigeria is always Nigeria shaa. It's like a curse. Professionalism isn't our thing. I remember when applying for my msc in one of the best universities in the UK, I always had a firsthand correspondence with the university despite the 1000s of applicants they would be dealing with. I was very impressed and remember saying to myself they were treating me as if I was the only applicant, being the first time I ever had such treatment. Fastfoward, I had never had any issues corresponding with any of the numerous jobs I had had to apply for in the UK. I was so carried along I knew exactly what was happening at any point of the recruitment stages. All I had to do was check my account online, send an email, or call. I wonder when Nigerian companies will start treating potential employees with the respect they deserve and appreciate the fact that the need to impress is twoways. It is embarrassing that even NLNG isn't immune to such unprofessionalism. |
I wish someone would ask the same for GT. Hearing any kind of info from them at this stage will be very appealing. |
I will be surprised if the almighty theory of resumption January is true. I don't see how that can be managed considering December is just next week and AC would likely not fall within the Christmas period. Unless of course the invitation for medicals comes with the result notification mails and both come this week....Miracles happen though. I have gone from suspension, to anticipation, to agitation, to frustration, to hope, to resignation, to confusion, to submission within this period. NLNG no try sha! Collintos: |
Another faithful week gone ![]() |
