Still does not make any sense for my comment to be deleted after I have chosen my words very carefully simply because someone else breaks a rule does it? Otherwise I could simply quote your comment and break some rules if I don't like your comment.

prelinctus:
In your case, the person who quoted you broke one of the rules. In my case, I did not break any rule. People may not have liked what I said but the fact remains that I did not break any rule. I always choose my words carefully.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 4:18pm On Feb 08, 2016
Was there any rule in deleting comments by MOD? From my experience, comments can be deleted simply cos someone asks a MOD to do so and so he does irrespective of what the content is. I have had my comment deleted simply cos the person who quoted me "leaked some sort of secret".

prelinctus:
I'm not happy with the way the mod here keeps deleting comments at will. I'm very sure Seun won't be happy with this. You don't delete comments that will surely bring traffic to this site. That's the first rule of the game. Even when people were castigating lalasticlala for bringing lots of irrelevant celebrity news to frontpage, he explained it clearly that 'traffic' is primary, every other thing secondary. Bdw, I still don't understand why my earlier comment was deleted. I didn't break any rule. Mod, you're spoiling Seun's business. Look at how dry this thread is. Uboma, pls talk to your junior colleague.

It is therefore my prayers that those not picked after passing AC would be waitlisted rather than dropped unceremoniously. This na serious competition and only the chosen would make it. May we all be among the chosen.

View point? You call referring to a reputable minister "Liar" and the minister of finance "novice" as someone's view point that may not be in line with mine and something u enjoy and yet you find expressing my point of view "not choosing my words carefully"? Really?!

FYI it wasn't my intention to add anything to a discussion I view as grossly subjective and unintelligent. I hope I have the right to do that.
Thanks

CHM11:
so sorry but it takes you nothing to choose your words carefully.

Someone else's view point might not be in line with yours, that doesn't make his stance illogical.

every comment on the subject has made sense by adding a point or two to the argument which I was actually enjoying until I saw the above. I'm still looking for the point you made in favour of or against the argument.

It makes me feel very uncomfortable when I hear people make careless and perhaps illogical arguments. I am not even referring to your calling Kemi a novice or calling Lai Mohammed "Liar". I however find it pedestrian to cite the "indictment" of Amaechi by the panel set by Wike as a proof of victimization by the current government. I don't know if it is your expectation that all Wike could do was to set a panel, spend taxpayers money, indict Amaechi, but rather than take him to court because the panel lacks jurisdiction, expect the judiciary to take up the case for them while they pass judgements on newspapers. It is even more baffling that it is APC, an opposition party and to which the subject belongs, that you expect to take action on their report. You also referred to all those under investigation as belonging to PDP only. What is even more interesting is that you are so bold in making your comment. Smh...

airsaylongcon:
Kemi is still a novice and I can tolerate that. How about the Chief liar of Nigeria?

Let us seperate victimisation from corruption. Amaechi was indicted by a panel of enquiry in Rivers State. What did APC do about it? Throw it under the carpet. One must not only be seen to be fighting corruption as evidenced by the numerous arrests and humiliation of PDP members, one must also actually fight corruption by uprooting the witch within. The Yorùbá have a proverb wọn sọ wípé kòkòrò tòun je ẹ̀fọ́ abẹ ẹ̀fọ́ ló wà. (The pest ruining the vegetable can be found within the vegetable).

I think it's based on the fact that no one here has come out to say he/she received a regret mail and I think I concur.

Is "the best of your knowledge" based on your single email or those of a few around u, or an out of the box knowledge?

dchem:
No regret mail was sent to the best of my knowledge. I think we should all move on for now because even though there were feelers that the current tsunami was coming no one truly knew the magnitude. NLNG is still in the business to make profit every other thing is secondary and as such I understand their ordeal.

People are finding solace in "This is the year" as if knowing it won't take more than a year from now is meant to bring comfort because we are in a new year.

Whatever the case, may this year bring forth good tidings. Happy New year, folks.

CHM11:
pls ensure that you are currently resident in Nigeria before you praise this current administration!! you cant just sit in europe, asia, america etc, after reading things said or written by Lair Mohammed, then you think you know it all !...we are in a deep mess
over here...freefall things ....the country is hanging on a thin thread....monies piled up in banks....people are scared to invest or even take loans. CBN is borrowing from banks at 4% and borrowing to banks at 11% in an asymmetrical relationship style.

everything is just messed up and all we have been hearing is the last administration this , the last administration that...you are there now ...get to work!!!!....

Review Fashola's comments and approach since he became a minister...true progressive...thinking smart and thinking out of the box, that even the opposition would be forced to applaud....i would have preferred a Fashola as president.

anyway, hopefully, things will get better ....
One doesn't have to be resident in a country to know about it. I also haven't met anyone who based his assessment of Nigeria on what Lai Mohammed has said, although I think it is pretty obvious that he sounds more honest than what we had in the previous Minster Labaran Maku.
It is a global village now. People praise whats happening in China, Malaysia, India etc yet they have never stepped a foot in those countries.

There are obvious and potential positive developments with this government, some unprecedented. We now know stealing is corruption. A change from a government that NSA pays billions to a media house, governors buy billions of Naira houses in cash and ask for documentation cover up, CBN smuggling out billions of dollars for campaign, criminals getting celebrated, pardoned, or promoted, a country smuggling billions of dollars into another in a private jet, that alone is worth celebrating. But even more! Now we have a country where revenues are declared, money saved from every nook and cranny, a government that proposes an all time high budget when crude is at its all time low! those that have allegedly mercilessly milked the country are facing the music, our soldiers morale is high, we no longer hear stories about how they flee the battle fields, our neighbours involved in the fight now treat us with respect and we no longer have to bear someone calling our president a coward who lacks the will to fight the insurgents. That's a change worth celebrating.

You talk about us being in deep mess and hanging on a thread but what's amazing is your asking the current government to take responsibility for that or the last one not to. It is unbelievable that even after all the mind blowing stealing and abuse of office that have recently been exposed ur expectations are to throw that into the bin and "start working". You might never know how close to a mess u were and that u shall forever take for granted. It is unimaginable what would be of Nigeria if it had continued on the previous trajectory. Isn't it logical to want to clear away the mess and prepare the ground for a good foundation than to continue with what has always been, and what will certainly appeal to u: build a new Nigeria on the persistent false foundation?

For me, I am smart enough to know we are in this deep shit cos of our past leaders' inhumane greed and selfishness. It is my strong belief that had we had this government decades ago and it was able to maintain a consistent trajectory, we would be one of the celebrated countries in the world considering our numerous resources. From the military regime down to the last government it had been one monster after another. Now is the chance to make Nigeria great for the government has the will and it is my prayers that we never go back to the dark days.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m):
I have argued a lot with a good number of Nigerians who criticize the current government to be able to put them down to 3 categories:

Category 1: The Dark Ones
These are people who are intensely obsessed with the previous government for tribal, religious or financial gain purposes (or a combination of any). They are vicious and angry people. They are the "blind, deaf and dumb". They can't tell and care less if you light up their houses or sing to them beautiful songs. They are negative and see only negative in anything the government does.. They are so quick to sight how slow or directionless the current government is (as a believer of the Newton's laws of relativity, I am still digging to find out their reference). To them, fighting corruption and blocking leakages are waste of time and the government should focus on reviving the economy (oblivious of the fact that economy itself can't grow with financial leakage and corruption). These are a set of dark and angry people. Stay away from them COMPLETELY!

Category 2: The Smart Fools
These are people who have travelled wide and far. They have seen what real developments are. As a result, they compare Nigeria to these countries and consequently become dissatisfied with little improvements. These are usually very smart people and would sometime try to reason with you. One big shortcoming of these kind of people is that they are too unrealistically idealistic. They forget that no two conditions are exactly the same and no matter how similar they are, exactly the same solution cannot be applied. They ignore completely the condition of the country that was inherited. These people need facts, not reasons, to be convinced, and unlike ordinary people, they need loads of them. You would have to put them on iteration, feeding new facts with every cycle, for a very, very long time before they accept the country is now on a right track. Stay away from them UNLESS YOU HAVE FACTS AND FIGURES and loads of them.

Category 3: The Sheep
These are the descendants of The Dark Ones. They scout around and try to equip themselves with all sort of negativity about the current government simply because that's what their mentors (The Dark Ones) flaunt around and that's what it takes to "belong". They often strongly believe their negativities with the current government are their objective and independent opinions. When faced with facts about the current change in the country, they become confused. Instead of yielding, they choose to resign and collapse every government that ever was and ever will be as "One corrupt body, with nothing to offer". The next day, they start all over again, criticizing the current government exactly in the same way the day before. And the circle goes on and on. Stay away from them UNLESS IT IS A FRIDAY NIGHT AND THEY ARE BUYING THE BEER/WINE.

Is it certain that some folks already know their faith? What informed u of that?

Guest01:
Resumption is most likely going to be in Q1 2016, somewhere between February and March. Remove the one month notification factor from your permutations cos it does not apply to GTs, even thou some of us are gainfully employed and currently play vital roles in our place of work. The EH's might get their offer letters this month with the view of resumption in January.

Some peeps in here already know their status in the current GT recruitment
. For those of us still waiting to know sup, i say keep believing. Victory is around the corner.

Do have a lovely week ahead peeps.

Shalom!!!

Does anybody have idea of how long it took for the last people taken to received offer after they submitted the documents they just asked us to submit?
That will help us to determine if Monday next week is feasible
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m):
Nigeria is always Nigeria shaa. It's like a curse. Professionalism isn't our thing.

I remember when applying for my msc in one of the best universities in the UK, I always had a firsthand correspondence with the university despite the 1000s of applicants they would be dealing with. I was very impressed and remember saying to myself they were treating me as if I was the only applicant, being the first time I ever had such treatment.

Fastfoward, I had never had any issues corresponding with any of the numerous jobs I had had to apply for in the UK. I was so carried along I knew exactly what was happening at any point of the recruitment stages. All I had to do was check my account online, send an email, or call.

I wonder when Nigerian companies will start treating potential employees with the respect they deserve and appreciate the fact that the need to impress is twoways. It is embarrassing that even NLNG isn't immune to such unprofessionalism.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by naastyme(m): 9:27am On Nov 23, 2015
I will be surprised if the almighty theory of resumption January is true. I don't see how that can be managed considering December is just next week and AC would likely not fall within the Christmas period.

Unless of course the invitation for medicals comes with the result notification mails and both come this week....Miracles happen though.

I have gone from suspension, to anticipation, to agitation, to frustration, to hope, to resignation, to confusion, to submission within this period. NLNG no try sha! cry
