Pixel 7 pro is okay, but aslo note that the phone can get very warm when you use it for games, and since you don't want to go for iOS I would suggest you get the a55 or 54. Their screens are tough, very good camera, long software update,
Thank you. How much do you think the a54/a55 would cost? Or would you advise I go for the iphone?

Hello guys I am planning to buy Samsung galaxy s20 or s21 snapdragon variant but I am scared of the green line issues,is there anyone here using any of these phones with no issues?
I'm in the same shoe with you. Someone suggested I buy Samsung a54 or a55. Another suggested a Google Pixel 7pro. I'm just confused as I have an offer for a 12 promax but I don't want to go the iOS way.

Good day guys. I've been using low end android (Infinix smart 5) and I want to move to a flagship as my last encounter with a one was days of Samsung S8. I'm particularly curious and have read online reviews on the Samsung S21 Ultra but I'm scared of screen issues. I don't want to go iOS way and I don't know anything about Google pixels untill someone mentioned it on Samsung thread. Pls would you advise I take the leap to a pixel or I go the Samsung way? How has been your experience with flagships when it comes to battery health and overheating? Or is there any device you'll recommend for me?

Note: I'm a moderately heavy user as I get not less than 10hrs screen time daily, but strictly social media apps and chrome. Might edit a document or two once in a while also. My budget is 400k.

You can get a54 for around your budget, yes they pose less screen wahala but you won't be getting the flagship experience
I have used both A series and S series, I can't differentiate the flagship experience though
I also run away from S series because of green lines screen
Thanks bro. I appreciate. Have you tried iphones? If yes, what's the experience side by side your Galaxy?

Get yourself a54 or a55
They are high end A series with almost same specifications with S series apart from the screen
Thank you so much for your response. Can I get a brand new of those ones with my budget or it's still UK used? Do I get same flagship experience with them? Do they pose less screen wahala when compared the the s series? How about camera quality? And How easy would it be for me to trade them in if I want to upgrade ? Thanks

Ex-Legislative Aide Jailed Eight Years for N120.5m Employment Scam in Abuja

The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, September 22, 2025, secured the conviction and sentence of a former legislative aide and banker, Mr. Goni Yilkan, for offences bordering on obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N120.5 million before Justice F. E Messiri of the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Jabi, Abuja.

Yilkan, who hails from Nguru, Yobe State, was found guilty on a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence, contrary to Section 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006, and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act, and consequently sentenced to eight years imprisonment without option of fine.

The convict was arraigned alongside one Mohammed Adamu in October 2023, following investigations into a petitioner's claims of being defrauded by the convict.

According to the petitioner, Yilkan deceived her between 2020 and 2021 into believing that he had the capacity to secure employment slots in government agencies such as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). On this strength, the petitioner collected varying sums of money from over 60 jobseekers, amounting to N120,580,550.00 (One Hundred and Twenty Million, Five Hundred and Eighty Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty Naira), which she allegedly remitted to the convict.

However, the purported employment offers never materialized, prompting Bello to petition the EFCC.

One of the charges read:
“That you, Mohammed Goni Yilkan, Mohammed Adamu and others at large between 3rd January 2020 and December 2021 in Abuja within the jurisdiction of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory with intent to defraud obtained the sum of N120, 580, 550 (One Hundred and Twenty Million, Five Hundred and Eighty Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty Naira) from Mrs. Hindatu Bello under the false pretence that you had the capacity to secure jobs for her candidates in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria which pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.”

In the course of the trial, the prosecution, led by Cosmas Ugwu, called six witnesses and tendered documentary evidence, while the defence, led by J.A. Oguche, presented two witnesses, including Yilkan himself.

In his judgment, Justice Messiri held that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, convicted Yilkan, but discharged and acquitted his co-defendant, Adamu. The judge further sentenced Yilkan to eight years’ imprisonment without an option of fine.

Yilkan’s journey to the Correctional Centre began when he collected the sum of N120.5million from desperate job seekers in the guise of offering them slots of employment. He neither offered them the jobs nor returned their money to them.

Waoh! Do we still have officers of this nature in the Nigeria police? I must commend this AIG for towing the path of justice and honor. He should be given an award for not only rejecting the bribe but for standing with the victim in her trauma. The IG must bury his head in shame for his ignoble and disgraceful conduct.
They'll soon forcefully retire him or dismiss him on some trump up charges.

Where did the better investigation lead when suspect has been discharged and acquitted on the orders of the current IGP?

Rift in Nigerian police as AIG petitions IGP Egbetokun to US Embassy for withdrawing case against Indian who raped American citizen

An Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Abduyari Lafia, has petitioned the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, accusing the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, of shielding an Indian national, Kumar Gurav, alleged to have raped an American citizen in Benue State.

In the petition dated August 1 and titled “How IGP Kayode Egbetokun shielded a suspect in a case of rape against American citizen,” Mr Lafia alleged that the case, which was earlier established against Mr Gurav, was abruptly withdrawn from court on the orders of the IGP.

According to him, the matter was first reported in April 2023 to the then IGP, Usman Baba Alkali, after Ms Malory Henry, a U.S. citizen on assignment in Makurdi, accused her colleague, Mr Gurav—an Assistant Manager with Olam Rice Nigeria—of drugging and raping her at his residence on March 30, 2023.

Mr Lafia said medical examination confirmed the assault, leading to the suspect’s arrest and arraignment on May 12, 2023, at the Benue High Court (Suit No: MHC/42C/2023).

He added that the suspect, confronted with overwhelming evidence, attempted to bribe investigators with N100 million, an offer he rejected outright.

However, upon assuming office, Mr Egbetokun allegedly directed that the case be withdrawn, “for further investigation.”

On July 26, 2024, prosecutors informed the court of the IGP’s directive, leading to the eventual discharge and acquittal of the defendant without entering a defence.

“The prosecutor, ASP Edwin Ochayi, who diligently handled the case, was transferred to Niger State as punishment, while my promotion was blocked to silence me,” Mr Lafia stated in the petition.

He alleged that instead of being commended for rejecting the bribe and pursuing justice, he and the prosecutor were victimised.

Mr Lafia further questioned what might have transpired between the IGP and the suspect after the bribe offer, insisting the decision had left the victim disillusioned and forced her to petition the Benue State Attorney-General for the case to be reopened.

“I am constrained to write this petition and draw your attention to this ignoble injustice meted out to your citizen [Miss Malory Henry] and the impunity with which it was carried out by IGP Kayode Egbetokun, who operates above the law,” Mr Lafia wrote.

He added that his conscience and oath of office compelled him to act in defence of the law and the victim, saying, “I promised Miss Malory Henry that she would get justice, and I will do everything humanly possible within the law to expose this abuse.”

When contacted, Mr Lafia confirmed he signed and submitted the petition to the U.S. Embassy. “Yes, I signed the petition,” he told DAILY NIGERIAN.

Efforts to get the response of the force headquarters were unsuccessful as the force spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, did not respond to our reporter’s inquiries.

Good evening everyone.

Please I need all the advice I can get on how I can build my career in RMAFC having been employed with BSc in Microbiology.
Is there need for me to try and obtain another degree in a relevant course that's in line with the commission's mandate or there's a way I can switch and get a Master's degree in a course under Social Sciences despite my Science background that will cover up for the first degree I've been employed with?

Please advise a brother on the best way to go about it.
Thanks 🙏

Na Coalition stall that announcement. The recent realignment of some politicians, most especially the CPC block of the APC with ADC, made it necessary for the list to be vetted again to avoid appointing people who are now with the opposition. What I know is that potential ambassadors were through with both DSS and EFCC checks before the issue of Coalition came up.

My Advice:

Start with two POS locations first if:

You’re new to business.

You want quicker and predictable returns.

You can manage attendants and monitor performance closely.

Once cash flow is stable (3–6 months in), consider reinvesting one stand’s profits into a laundry setup if:

You have time or someone reliable to manage it.

You’re in a location with demand (e.g., working-class neighborhoods, student areas, estates).
Thanks bro. Nagode sosai

I had to login to reply you.

Don't let anyone deceive you, don't anyone laugh at you or talk down at the POS business even if you are a graduate.
It's currently one of the easy and cheap business to start with good returns.
You just have to be in a good location and I guarantee you that you get a good return no matter the competition..
With that startup capital you are likely going to get within 35, 40, to 60k monthly.
I am into POS business and it's not even my main business, it's just an attachment to my business center and one thing I love about it is that you hardly make any expenses. The expenses are usually very low.

I am a shy person, but when I saw the returns that the POS gives me at the end of the month with little or no expensesi, it automatically killed my shiness grin
Thank you so much. Do you suggest I brace all odds and start with the two locations simultaneously or I start with one to learn the ropes first?

How can you be expecting 40k per month? When it should be per week. Put into consideration you are going to employ someone to manage it for you are you not going to pay him or her.
The 40k is net after paying staff, monthly LG levy, TP to and fro securing cash and any other expenses the business might incur. That will give me 80k monthly profit for an investment capital of 1m-1.2m

I'm very much interested in this topic. I intend to start two POS stands with N600k each with a target of getting net of N40k from each at the end of the month. Experienced folks, how feasible is that pls?

Someone is advising I do a POS stand and a local laundry shop? What do you think?
