Emergencies do not send us any arrival message/notification. They just show up… anywhere and anytime. So ridiculous. Having a flat tire in the middle of nowhere when you have no jack could be frustrating. A fire incidence could be equally frustrating when you have an expired extinguisher or none at all. I’d be listing 12 emergency equipment you should have in your car. Some you already know/have. Some you’d be hearing for the first time. Let’s go… http://nagreenmotoring.com/tech/motoringtips/your-car-needs-these-too/ |

A survey conducted by World Health Organization (WHO) indicates that Nigeria has one of the worst road death records in the world and this is no thanks to the poor state of our roads and our reactions to Emergencies. The study measured deaths per 100,000 and Nigeria’s death rate per 100,000 was 33.7 with a slow response to emergencies also, but these figures can’t only be associated with our bad roads alone, the state of the vehicles that ply the roads can’t be ignored because most of them are either not roadworthy or in poor conditions. http://nagreenmotoring.com/news/nigerias-road-ranked-among-worlds-worst/

don buchi: Please can you help us with some answers to the questions above. And your advice as well please.I don't know if this was directed to me but anyway Having your radiator fan connected directly which means its runs as soon as your ignition is turned on will make your vehicle to overcool which mean your vehicle would not reach the exact temperature required of it to operate correctly and return the desired fuel economy predicted by the vehicle manufacturer. If you want to know more send me an email at nagreenmotoring.com |
Flyboy Zee: I had the same problem with my EOD. The culprit is the engine seat. The correct one has not yet been fixed. There are infact over 6 different types of engine mount for each position. Ad soon as the correct one is fixed, believe me your EOD will be like a brand new one. I speak from experience. Its good to always deal with professional and you have seen the benefit first hand |
Tnoni: I GOT AN EOD 2004 NOVEMBER, I ACTUALLY BOUGHT IT WITH THE VIBRATION AND THE SELLER TOLD ME IT IS ONLY THE ENGINE SIT, THAT I SHOULD CHANGE IT, IMMEDIATELY I TOOK THE CAR HOME THE NEXT DAY I PAID A MECHANIC TO GET IT FIXED ONLY FOR THE VIBRATION TO CONTINUE. NOW THE MECHANIC IS SAYING IT HAS TO BE THE OTHER TWO ENGINE SITS, THAT HE DID NOT CHANGE, I DONT KNO WAT TO DO, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR MORE THAN 3 WEEKS NOW.An engine seat is meant to absorb the vibration the engine and the gear box produces when the vehicle is working it acts like a shock absorber but can't say changing it will solve your vibration problem but since your mechanic has seen the car i think you should go with his advice and change the remaining two. Check Engine Light Please before you carry out any mechanical work on your vehicle like cleaning the nozzle and the rest have it scanned/diagnose properly so that they won't just be doing guess work on your car and end up ruining it for you or better still if you have the money and you can do without your car for a week take it to honda palace in ikeja or gbagada and all your problems will be solved |
concept 24: Where Can I Get A Place To Do Diagnostic/scan on my 1999 toyota camry in Lagos. It is consuming more fuel than expectedTo scan that kind of car should cost you 5k but there is a lot of things that causes high fuel consumption. Let me ask you some questions first. Is your radiator fan connected directly? (Does it start as soon as you turn on your ignition)? Is there a thermostat in your car? When last did you change your air filter? Or when last did you service your vehicle? |
Muza: This diagnostics tool are DIY (Do It Yourself) scanner and they are not what am talking about but good work bro keep it up it was very informative |
Siena: Dude, I've been in the automotive for more years than you think, and worked within the VAG dealer network for 18 years. Now that's very informative i didn't know that please can i have your email address would like to discuss somethings with you |
oribi: Bro just find a really good auto electrician...plus if you want it to good off for a “while“ remove the battery head at for 2hrz n fix it back..Wow why would you advise anyone to do that? There is a reason why check engine come on they are meant to warn you about the problem of your vehicle early enough so that you don't have to spend too much fixing them. So a very good electrician would blind the car so that the light never comes on again or what. Men i don't want to imagine the kind of state your vehicle is in right and you need a to renew your mind from this crude approach you have towards automobiles. |
Siena: 15,000 is £60. The average dealership here charges 10,000 NGN (£40) and independent garages 6,200 NGN (£25). So an independent or roadie in Nigeria charging £60 is trying to bend you over, and shaft you with the prickly end of a pineapple.I agree with you completely but the reason why i gave those price range is because when diagnosing commences on his car they might want to run a lot of tests like the drive cycle monitor, 02 monitor, diag monitor test and so on and this tests can take a while. Its good to deal will professionals and they don't come cheap. |
vitality22: Scanning a car for 10k-15k? that's too exorbitant. scanning of your car should not cost you more than 3k pls. the OBD 11 scanner itself is about 20k-25k.The OBD 11 scanner that is 20k to 25k can't do a comprehensive diagnose on any car and can't give you top three reported repairs for the code shown neither can it scan your transmission system which is (gear box) your ABS, Air bag and soon. Now the diagnostic tool that can do this and more cost about 800k to 1 million so if i give you a price of 10k to 15k i am still on the right track |
Siena: You're confusing yourself. I'm sure my post was quite clear - I said 2007 Audi versus 2013 Kia. So how could a 2007 car be brand new?If you had worked in the automobile industry then you should know that you can still purchase a brand new 2007 audi if you know where to look for it but from the way you replied me it seem you don't have that knowledge. Anyway about the Hyundai/Kia i was talking about the brand new not the second hand and it takes up to five year for it to start falling apart. Am an Automobile Journalist and i know for a fact that its only few vehicles that don't fall apart after a long time of use. |
Find an auto mechanic work shop that has a diagnostic tool the price range should be between 10k to 15k there about. @nagreenmotoring #nagreenmotoring |
Really bro you are diagnosing Vacuum pump for a car you haven't seen and tested. You also don't know the amount of vibration the car is producing or if the RPM drops below 800 when the AC is on. Your diagnosis can only be determine if and when you have seen the car and tested the vacuum pump if its faulty or not. The dude with the vibration people problem please do tread with caution |
If the 2007 Audi is brand new i would agree with you but if you are buying a secondhand 07 audi i don't agree with you at all because the interior begins to fall off after a while that's why i would chose a Hyundai/kia 2013 over a secondhand Audi @nagreenmotoring #nagreenmotoring |
Its your engine seats it maybe 1 or two of it. Change it and it will stop. Do you feel the same vibration when your gear changes? if you do the engine seat is also the problem |
2012 New Hyndai Elantra is good it will save you a lot of money at the filling station and you don't have to worry about maintenances for a while and you will also get warranty on the car if you buy it and maybe free servicing on your first 10,000km depending on your negotiation skill while Tokunbo 2005 Toyota Avalon on the other hand, you can't be sure about. You don't know if its an accident or a savaged vehicle you are buying. You can tell the real condition of the engine unless you scan it and so on and its got a very big engine that will cost you a lot to service if you don't have a dip pocket. So bro go for the Hyndai Elantra its brand new and you will enjoy it. @nagreenmotoring #nagreenmotoring |
