Dino who is well known for his hit song, Ajeku Iya, shared a video of himself singing the new song just as he tweeted that congratulating the winner of the election, APC's Smart Adeyemi, is like congratulating an "armed robber" after an operation.

Dino maintains that the election was rigged in favour of APC.
Sports / Man Utd Vs Aston Villa: Solskjaer Speaks On Setting Goals Target For Rashford, M by naijabadoo(m): 8:11am On Dec 01, 2019
Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has insisted he will not set any goal targets for his forwards.

Solskjaer, a supreme finisher for the Reds during his playing days, explained that it added pressure to the players.

The Norwegian sanctioned Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter Milan and will be looking to Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial for goals this season

However, he told reporters ahead of Sunday’s home fixture against Aston Villa: “I won’t be setting goal targets for Marcus, Anthony or any of my players because it’s counter-productive.

“The only thing I demand from my forwards is that they do all the things we work on in training to give themselves the best chance of scoring.

That means getting into good positions, keeping yourself moving and concentrating on finding the best shot or header possible.

“That philosophy stood me in good stead when I was a player.

“Some of the other lads I played with set themselves targets at the start of each season — and it worked for them.

But I always wondered why strikers would give themselves one thing extra to worry about.

“I never set myself targets in terms of goals because, no matter how many times I hit the back of the net, I always wondered where my next goal was going to come from.

“I always felt that setting players certain targets put them under a level of extra pressure they don’t need.

“If you score a goal, that’s great. Then you focus on scoring the next one.”

Politics / Bayelsa/kogi Guber: Jonathan Speaks On Sad Incidents by naijabadoo(m): 7:51am On Dec 01, 2019
Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has pleaded with politicians to stop killing the masses during elections.

Jonathan said that what happened in the last governorship election in Bayelsa and Kogi States was something that should not happen in any normal society.

Making reference to the Peoples Democratic Party’s women leader who was burnt to death in her house, in Kogi State during the polls, the ex-president said something is fundamentally wrong with the political system.

He said that politicians were resorting to political coups as a substitute for military coups, critiquing the phenomenon as bad the continent.

Jonathan stated this at the weekend while speaking on behalf of other awardees at the convocation ceremony of Igbinedion University Okada, in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.

What happened in the last governorship elections in my state, Bayelsa State, and especially in Kogi State, where that young lady was burnt alive in her house, is something that should not happen in any normal society. Something is fundamentally wrong with our political system,” the former President stated.

“Only yesterday in Ndjamena, we were discussing the politics of our continent, most of us former Heads of States, Presidents, former Presidents, Vice Presidents.

“The way African politics is going we are replacing military coup with political coup d’etat and that cannot sustain the continent.

Let me plead with my fellow politicians, they should stop killing people, and destroying properties because people want to own offices,” he said.

Politics / 2023: Coalition Of Northern Groups Reveals Region That Should Produce Buhari’s S by naijabadoo(m): 7:53am On Aug 10, 2019
http://www.visitwap.com/forum/post/10-08-19-2023-coalition-of-northern-groups-reveals-region

Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the leader of Coalition of Northern Groups, CNGs, has said that it is of no benefit to the North to continue holding on to power in 2023.

He also pointed out that the political alliance between the North and the South-West is not working.

Suleiman said the North was indeed very angry with President Muhammadu Buhari’s government because they have not benefitted anything from him.

He stated this while fielding questions from The Sun on which region should produce the next President of the country come 2023.

For him, the Presidency should shift to the South in 2023 since Northern leaders, including Buhari, have failed their people.

He added, “What needs to be done by the North is not to insist that power must remain in the region which in any case, does not even serve the interest of the larger population of northerners.

“What is important at this point is for the northern political leadership to renegotiate its current alliance with the South West which has never been North’s political ally.

“The alliance is already turning out to be unhealthy. We are already calling on the northern elders and leaders to review the region’s position by realigning with our traditional political friends which are the South East and South-South.

“This has become necessary with the way the South West is going about the current friendship by being more openly antagonistic to northern interests even while they are the major beneficiaries of the Buhari administration.

“Look at the way the entire Yoruba traditional, cultural, religious, and political leadership has come out strongly in support of Sowore’s call for insurrection just because he is their son, not minding that he categorically declared that with the takeoff of the protests, all the nation’s security organization would cease to exist which is certainly scary. We dissociated from the protests primarily due to its inherent violent concept.

“What is happening to us in the North now, are we happy that we have a Northerner as a president? We are not getting anything. So, the North will be better off with a Southern president who would provide services to everybody. It is the elite who have not allowed us to think Nigeria by making us think in terms of ethnicity and religion so that they can control us.

“What is the point of having an Igbo president when you do not have anything in the South East? What is the point of having a Northern president when all these killings are going on in the North? It is even bad for us now because when we talk, they will say we are fighting our brother but if it is a Southerner, we can talk and shout.

“In 2014, I cited an example and people agreed with me that if having a president from an area is the yardstick for development, then the North would have been the most developed.

“This is because the Northerners have held power for most of Nigeria’s existence. Why are we the most backward then? The South East has just held power just nominally during the First Republic but why then are they the most developed?

So, all this noise about where the president comes from is just an elitist way of manipulating our thinking. Don’t we have governors from our localities? What are they doing for us? We even have local government chairmen. Are they working for us?

“No, because we are not asking them to do what is right. People think that this division is only at the national level. It is even there locally. I am from Zaria and if they make me commissioner now, some people would say, it is Zaria people.”

Sports / Transfer: What Solskjaer Said About Dybala’s Move To Man Utd by naijabadoo(m): 6:52am On Jul 31, 2019
Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, did not give much away, when asked about a potential move for Paulo Dybala.

United have opened talks with Juventus over a deal to sign the Argentine forward.

Dybala’s agent flew into London to begin talks, over a deal that could see United striker Romelu Lukaku go the other way.

United have become frustrated with Inter Milan’s failure to meet their £75million asking price for Lukaku and could instead do a deal with their Serie A rivals.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking on Tuesday night after his side’s 1-0 win over his hometown club Kristiansund in Oslo, was tight-lipped on Dybala.

I’m not here to talk about any rumours or speculation about other team’s players.

“But of course we’re working on one or two cases, as I’ve said before.

“There’s another ten days before we start the league and hopefully we can announce a fresh face or two,” he said.

Sports / Barcelona Wonderkid Xavi Simons Announces Departure From Liga Giants by naijabadoo(m): 11:47pm On Jul 23, 2019
The 16-year-old, who is considered to be one of the hottest prospects within the famed La Masia academy system, is ready to make a fresh start
Xavi Simons, a 16-year-old held in high regard by Barcelona, has announced that he is to leave the Liga giants.

The announcement, which has been made on the Dutch youngster’s social media accounts, comes as something of a shock, with Simons considered to be one of the hottest prospects within the famed La Masia academy.

He has, however, opted against committing to an extended stay and is reportedly already in Paris ahead of completing a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to sources at Barca, the club offered the 16-year-old a €100k-a-season deal, while they were willing to promote him to their Juvenil A team, with talks having kicked off in May.

And while Simons, who is represented by ‘super-agent’ Mino Raiola, has decided to leave, Barca aren't panicking about the situation.

Indeed, sources have told Goal that the club is counting on the development of Ilaix Moriba, who has already renewed his contract, and England under-16 forward Louie Barry, who has arrived from West Brom amid interest from PSG.

Simons, meanwhile, said in a statement announcing his exit: “Today is not easy, as saying goodbye is one of the hardest things in life and today it’s my turn to say goodbye to what has been my home, my family, my life for as long as I can remember.
Thank you, @FCBarcelona!

— Xavi Simons (@xavisimons) July 23, 2019
“It was a dream come true when I put on my first Barca jersey nine years ago as a pre-benjamin (under-cool player.

“Through the years I have experienced victories and defeats, I have fallen and gotten back up time and time again.

“Through it all, my team-mates, my coaches and the entire staff at La Masia have been there by my side, every single day.

“Even if I am only 16 years old, I have also felt the love and support of hundreds of thousands of Barca fans that wanted me to keep growing and someday make it to the Camp Nou.

To all of you, I can only say: thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will never forget our time together and will forever cherish the memories.

“As I am about to start a new and exciting adventure away from Barcelona, this club, its people and its fans will always hold a special place in my heart.

“Forca Barca!”

Nairaland / General / RUGA: Nigeria Will Be Set Ablaze, Plunged Into Civil War – Colonel Nwobosi by naijabadoo(m): 9:26am On Jul 20, 2019
A former Nigerian and Biafran soldier, Colonel Emmanuel Nwobosi, has warned that history may repeat itself as Nigeria has failed to learn from the events of 1967.

http://www.visitwap.com/forum/post/20-07-19-ruga-nigeria-will-be-set-ablaze-plunged-into

Nwobosi, who was one of the officers that truncated the nation’s first republic in the January 15, 1966 coup, said that President Muhammadu Buhari was sleeping on the wheels.

He further warned that the planned settlement of Fulani herdsmen across the country, otherwise known as Ruga would surely set Nigeria ablaze or bring it to its knees.

“The thing is that they said that if you don’t learn from the history of war of the past; something will repeat itself,” he told Sun.

“That thing they said would repeat itself is what is about to happen now. The latest is with this Ruga, which would surely set Nigeria ablaze or bring it to its knees.

Sometimes, I would like to think that Buhari has lost control of the Government like he said the other time that he didn’t know about the Ruga idea.

“If it’s true that he didn’t know about it; then he must be asleep on the wheels, if not, I would think that heads should have started rolling because this Ruga programme has given him such a bad name.

“It’s not easy to wipe it off and as if he’s not attempting to learn any lesson; the fact that Ruga is just about dying down, and they’ve started this one they said, is electronic registration of illegal aliens.

“I don’t think that one has come out in the media as Ruga; not too many people know about it. We are still talking about what was done and even more dangerous steps were being taken.

“I really don’t know because Buhari had been really very eager to go back to the seat after his military administration. He did everything; and there were different opinions as to why he continued trying.

“Some said; those who wanted to use him to achieve their aim were so dogged that even if he was tired or not ready to risk it; they were pushing him.

I cannot imagine what is going on now; it’s either things have gone amok; he’s lost touch with reality or he is still in control but wants us to believe he’s lost touch.

“Whichever of them, it’s not good for the country. You know, sometimes when Nnamdi Kanu talks about Jibril from Sudan, I try to think whether there is some truth in it; after a while, I said no, if it were Jibril, he would have betrayed certain things.”

Sports / Transfer: Juventus Offer Man Utd Three Players For Pogba by naijabadoo(m): 8:02am On Jul 19, 2019

Juventus are still fighting to re-sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United and are willing to offer three players as part of a deal, Corriere dello Sport reports.

Pogba wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, with Real Madrid also interested.

United want at least £150m for the France midfielder, but Juventus do not have the funds to make that kind of offer.

So they are trying to get around the huge fee, by offering Joao Cancelo, Blaise Matuidi and Douglas Costa as part of the deal.

The Red Devils have not showed interest in Costa, 28, Matuidi, 32, or Cancelo, 25, although they have been linked with all three in the past.

Sports / Neymar Mocks His Own Club, Says Beating Psg 6-1 by naijabadoo(m): 8:30am On Jul 14, 2019
Brazilian footballer, Neymar has mocked his current club Paris Saint-Germain by admitting his best memory on a football pitch was beating them 6-1 with his former club, Barcelona.

The clash which went down in 2017, is regarded as one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history. Barcelona were 4-0 down after the first leg, but shocked PSG with a 6-1 victory in the second leg to complete a magical comeback. When asked in an interview to describe his best moment on a pitch, Neymar who scored twice in the game admitted: 'The best memory in a locker room? Ahhh... I don't know...

'Well, when we won against PSG with Barcelona, it was completely... we all went crazy afterwards.

'I believe it was the best possible feeling for all of us.'

He added: 'What we felt when we scored the sixth goal, I never felt something like this. It was incredible.'

Neymar, who has failed to report for the start of pre-season training with the French giants, is currently enduring a difficult relationship with PSG and he is seeking for a return back to Barcelona.

Last month, has told his current club that he 'wants to go' back to Barcelona, where he should 'never have left'.

Politics / PDP Speaks On Buhari Govt Increasing Fuel Price From N145 by naijabadoo(m): 6:56pm On Jul 11, 2019
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday cautioned the President Muhammadu Buhari Presidency and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to perish any contemplation of increasing pump price of fuel from the already excruciating N145 per liter.

It stated that increasing the pump price of fuel would lead to increased hardship among Nigerians.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the opposition party said rather than increase fuel price, Buhari’s government should look for ways of reducing the price of the product.

The statement reads: “Our position is predicated on our unwavering stand, as a party committed to the welfare of Nigerians, that any increase in fuel price will result in upsurge in cost of goods and services and worsen the biting hardship being faced by Nigerians, who are already overburdened by the APC in the last four years.

“The PDP firmly holds that, at a time like this, rather than musing an increase in the price of such an essential commodity, a responsive leadership ought to be engaging stakeholders and seeking ways to achieve a reduction in the interest of the people.

Our party insists that the price comparison being contemplated by the APC-controlled Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to warrant an increase, is untenable and further demonstrates that the APC is a
party of selfish, unfeeling and insensitive individuals, who relish in inflicting pain and anguish on Nigerians for their selfish desires.

“Moreover, in arguing that petrol price is cheap in Nigeria without also comparing our market and production variables as well as social and economic infrastructure, with those obtainable in other countries, the APC-controlled NNPC is trying to play on the intelligence of Nigerians to pave way for further fleecing of our citizens.

Such anti-people position can only come from leaders who do not have the mandate of the people and as such think that they are not answerable or accountable to the citizenry.

This is the same APC, which, in 2015, promised to reduce fuel pump price, only for it to jerk it up from N87 per liter, stabilized by the PDP, to an exorbitant N145, from which it now seeks a further increase.

“Moreover, the APC-led Federal Government has no justification whatsoever to contemplate any increase in pump price of fuel, when President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to recover the N9 trillion ($25 billion) oil money stolen under his watch, through sleazy contracts, as detailed in the leaked NNPC memo.

“President Buhari had also failed to recover the N1.1 trillion worth of crude oil allegedly stolen, using 18 unregistered companies, reportedly linked to APC interests.

It is therefore unacceptable that rather than recovering the over N10 trillion stolen oil money and channeling same to our domestic energy needs, the APC-led Federal Government is seeking to shift the burden of the humongous corruption in the NNPC, as confirmed by the new Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, on our already deprived and impoverished compatriots.

“It is saddening that at a time Nigerians should have been enjoying the benefits of Atiku Abubakar’s economic recovery plan, they are still being faced with apprehensions of more economic hardship under the hypocritical and unfeeling APC.”

Sports / AFCON 2019: Morocco Beat Ivory Coast, Qualify For Round Of 16 by naijabadoo(m): 7:26am On Jun 29, 2019
Morocco reached the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after beating Ivory Coast 1-0 on Friday to serve notice that they are one of the sides to beat at the tournament in Egypt.

Youssef En-Nesyri’s 23rd-minute goal ensured a second win in Group D for Morocco, who move onto six points and join fellow heavyweights Nigeria, Egypt and Algeria with a 100 per cent record.

The win came after a polished performance by the North African side, one of the pre-tournament favourites but whose only success in the continental championship came 43 years ago.

The goal was brilliantly crafted by Noureddine Amrabat’s mazy run as he eliminated four players, before a short ‘no-look’ pass set up En-Nesyri for a left-footed finish.

Politics / Nigeria Sitting On Gunpower – Fani-kayode Warns Inec by naijabadoo(m): 8:27am On Jun 17, 2019
Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, has warned that Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder that could trigger and ignite a monumental “cataclysmic explosion, the likes of which have never been seen”.

He said this in reaction to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, claim that they never used a server during the 2019 presidential election.

INEC had told the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that its officials never transmitted election results from their polling units electronically during the just concluded presidential election.

However, Fani-Kayode urged the electoral commission to stop playing with the future of Nigerians.

In a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode wrote: “You said you had a server and told us how much you spent on it. You complained that others had illegally gained access to it and that they ought to be arrested. Yet when the matter got to court, you changed the story and said you have no server. What type of strange abracadabra is this?

“Please stop playing Russian roullete with the future of our country. Peoples eyes are open and we are sitting on a keg of gunpowder right now. If care is not taken you will pull the trigger and ignite a monumental and cataclysmic explosion the likes of which have never been seen.”

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday
alleged that late Head of State, Sani Abacha
injected ex- Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters,
Musa Yar’Adua with virus that killed him.

Obasanjo made the allegation at a dinner
programme organised by an inter-denominational
Christian organisation, Christ The Redeemer’s
Friends International of the Redeemed Christian
Church of God, Lagos Province 39 Chapter.

He claimed that Abacha’s killer squad carried out
the act, adding that he was to be next victim, but
that he was saved by God’s divine grace.

Obasanjo also alleged that Abacha was planning to
kill winner of the acclaimed 1993 presidential
election, poisoned him, M.K.O. Abiola and he
eventually did not make it out of prison.

According to Obasanjo, “Two people had earlier
told me Abacha promised that three of us would
not come out of prison or detention alive.

“Myself, Shehu Yar Adua and MKO Abiola. And two
of them did not come out alive. So, that I came out

the purpose is for me to serve the people and by
so doing, serve God, then so be it.

“Abacha claimed that I was plotting a coup. I
wasn’t the first to be arrested. When Shehu
(Yar’Adua) was arrested, I tried to plead for his

Crime / "Kidnapper Evans Capable Of Organising Jailbreak" - Security Operatives' Dilemma by naijabadoo(m): 7:08am On Jul 01, 2017

There are fears among security operatives that the notorious kidnap kingpin, Mr. Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, aka, Evans, who was arrested recently by the Police for coordinating several high-profile kidnappings and armed robbery could stage an escape from prison if remanded in prison custody.

It was learnt that should Evans be remanded in Prison, he would pose a security threat to the nation given his sophistication and network.

Top security agents, who spoke to SaturdayVanguard explained that since the Police were yet to trace all the monies and properties Evans acquired during his 20-year reign as a high profile kidnapper, his stay in prison would avail him the opportunity to reorganize himself and set up a new gang.

Again, the police are still investigating to nab his accomplices and may not be in a hurry to charge him to court now. They have a court order to keep him up to three months before he could face prosecution.

A source within the security community told SaturdayVanguard that several high profile criminals, who made huge sums money before their arrest were treated preferentially by prison officials, who they alleged gave them easy access to cell phones and internet connections.

VIP treatment in prison custody

The source said: “High-profile criminals enjoy VIP treatments in prison custody because they have money. We have learned that these suspects usually pay the warders to be detained in cells that are classified as VIP, and they would have access to their phones as well as the internet. These suspects don’t usually feel like they are in prison custody because they enjoy unlimited access to visitors anytime.

“Since his money has not been recovered completely because we had information that he has hotels in Ghana and South Africa, it will be wrong to send him to prison.

He is also said to have auto spare parts outlets in Ghana and some other Africa countries. People working for him are numerous and the Police are yet to arrest all of them.

If he is remanded in prison with these assets unrecovered, Evans could rule any prison. Evans, can be in prison and easily recruit men outside, radicalise them, buy them arms and send them out for operations.

Evans can organise a jailbreak

‘’Evans could enjoy the security of the prison and unleash terror on the society. We have seen a lot of criminals like him and they have done same

“We have had several cases like that in the past. We had the case of Henry Chibueze, alias Vampire, who kidnapped and killed several persons and was arrested in 2015 by the Department of State Security Service, DSS. While in prison, Vampire sponsored several groups, who carried out kidnappings on his behalf.

Having raised enough money he staged an escape from the prison while he was being taken to court. Luckily for us, he was gunned down, a few weeks after his escape. There were also other cases in Abuja and Port Harcourt Rivers State, recently.

A suspect in Kuje Prison was identified as the mastermind of several fraud cases where he would send members of his syndicate to buy goods and pay with fake bank alerts.

“When members of the syndicate were arrested, they confessed that their leader was serving in Kuje Prison. One of the cases in Port Harcourt saw a detainee operating a massive kidnap gang. The kidnapper had organized several kidnappings before members of his gang were apprehended and he was exposed.”

Death of policemen

Similarly, Police sources also intimated Saturday Vanguard that the Nnewi -born suspect who received millions of dollars as ransom from his victims after abducting and detaining them for months, was said to have given vivid details of how his gang carried out operations which led to the death of many policemen across the country.

This was after he denied being involved in such operations when asked by Saturday Vanguard during an interview. He only admitted taking part in just three bullion van robberies during his reign.

Deadly operation in Oyo

However, sources said his story changed on June 26, 2017, when a Deputy Commissioner of Police currently serving at the Rivers State Police Command, Mr. Felix Vwamhi, contacted the Intelligence Response Team handling his case and informed them that while he served as the Area Commander in Charge of Oyo Town, Oyo State, in 2010, Evans and his gang members carried out multiple bank robberies.

He added that a few days after the operation, Evans, and members of his gang went to rob more other banks in Rivers and Abia States.

It was gathered that Evans, was caught on Close Circuit Camera, CCTV, stationed at one of the banks clutching an AK-47 rifle, after he and his group stormed the bank and two others, located at Oyo Junction, off Iwo Road.
He was said to have apprehended the branch manager of the bank immediately he gained access to the bank and forced him to lead him into the vault where large sums of money were carted away. It was learned that the gang stormed the bank from a village in Iwo Town, where they had camped a night before the operation. They invaded the bank at 10: am on May 20, 2017, after snatching three vehicles from the Oyo/ Road and abducting its occupants.
They were said to have attempted to move into Oyo Town where they intended to rob more banks, but they were stopped by Armoured Personnel Carriers.
Sources at the IRT disclosed that the Oyo Area Commander at that time secured the service of an informant based in Lagos State, adding that the CCTV at the bank was obtained.

The informant, who was said to have identified Evans, while he was seen stuffing bundles of dollars into a bag from the CCTV footage, warned that the gang had concluded plans to carry out more bank robberies in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, and Aba. Two days after that operation, Evans and his men were also sported in Port-Harcourt, where they raided some banks from where they moved to Aba and raided more banks.

Sharing of loot in Lagos

Saturday Vanguard gathered that Evans and other commanders in the group, who were identified as directors, shared their loot at a location in Lagos State.
Evans and other top members of the gang reportedly kept the foreign currencies stolen from the banks.
A few days after sharing their loot, a member of the gang, who specialized in opening bank security doors, was arrested at his residence in Ijesha, Lagos State.
He was shown the footage where he saw himself breaking one of the doors to the banks through the aid of the informant. His arrest soon led to the arrest of several members of their gang, but Evans, who was the police prime target, managed to escape to Ghana.
It was learned that while policemen from the Oyo Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, stormed Lagos, having gotten information that Evans was spotted in a nightclub, in Ikeja, he scaled the club’s fence, abandoned his vehicle and absconded.

Denies Godogodo

It was further gathered that following this revelation, the IRT confronted Evans with the claims that he may have worked with the late notorious armed robbery czar known as Abiodun Ogunjobi, a.k.a Godogodo, during his reign in the South West.
Godogodo was reputed to have killed over 50 policemen and snatched their rifles.
However, Evans reportedly admitted taking part in the 2010 Oyo bank robberies but denied ever working with Godogodo.

He explained that he did not know the names of all the people he worked with during his robbery escapades.
He said: “I don’t know all the people I carried out robbery operations with because I don’t share my contacts with everybody so that when they are caught, they won’t mention my name to the Police.

At the time we went for that Oyo robbery, my gang was made up of mainly Igbo boys and traders from Ladipo Spare Part Market. We were working mainly at Port-Harcourt and other parts of the South East, but it was one of our friends known as Paul, who brought us to Oyo for the bank robbery. They were the people who knew the terrain very well.

My friend Paul came with some Yoruba boys and we stayed in a village very close Oyo Town. I don’t know the name of that town, but in the morning before we went for the operation, we snatched three vehicles and we used them for the operation.

Before we got to the bank, we had some of our men close to monitor movements of security operatives around the bank. And they had strict instructions to take out any security operative that may stand on our way. I don’t know if any policeman was killed during the operation. I was just a driver. I wasn’t carrying any gun. We went to Port-Harcourt after the Oyo robbervans and his gang members carried out multiple bank robberies.
He added that a few days after the operation, Evans, and memy and the Yoruba boys didn’t follow us. ND was the person who brought the information on that operation, while Nwanaba, brought the Aba operation. We shared the Oyo robbery loot with the Yoruba boys there in Oyo State before we left for the East.

But, what we did in that operation was that every man should settle himself with what he got. After our Port-Harcourt and Aba operations, we came to Lagos and shared our loots at Ikeja area. Soon after, the police started arresting my gang members. I don’t know how they infiltrated our gang but I was forced to flee to Ghana.”

Culture / Vote Your President Out If You Are Not Happy With Him Ooni Of Ife Tells by naijabadoo(m): 1:39pm On Jun 26, 2017

The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has told
Nigerians to vote out their president, if they are not
happy with his administration and retain him if they
are pleased with him.

He stated this in an interview aired on The Osasu
Show.

The monarch said that the electorates have not
realized the power they have and urged them to be
organized.

When asked what government must do to better
the lot of the Nigerian youth, the Ooni replied:

“Why must it be government, government? Who is
government? It is the people that are behind the
government.

“If you are not happy with your president, you go
for another election, and you will vote your
president out. If you are happy with your president,
you will continue with that government for them to
be in power.

“Truth be told, we Nigerians don’t know our power
yet. We don’t know our voting power, yet. Until we
know it, we won’t stop complaining, especially the
youth. Once we know it, we won’t complain again.

“My school of thought is let us, first of all,
organise ourselves and let us talk positively about
this country.

Let us stop derogatory, hate
speeches. Things that will continue to divide
everybody further.”

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has denied
claims that she insulted Igbos by saying she is
happy they are becoming more irrelevant in
Nigeria’s financial system.

She made the denial while reacting to an alleged
tweet in her name saying, “I am happy that Igbos
are gradually becoming insignificant in Nigeria
financial system and before the end of 2023 Igbos
will be insignificant in South east and Nigeria in
general.”

Dismissing the claim, the Minister said she never
tweeted anything of the sort, adding that the tweet
was photoshopped onto her Twitter handle by
some people looking to cause trouble for her.

Adeosun maintained that every part of country is
important to Nigeria’s financial system.

In a terse statement on her Facebook wall,
Adeosun wrote:
“It has come to my attention that
there’s a fake Twitter post circulating in my name,
suggesting that I said something derogatory about
Igbos. Kindly disregard it.

“It’s nothing but a shoddy attempt to photoshop a
hateful statement onto my Twitter handle. I did not
say or tweet any such thing.”

Crime / Fulani Herdsmen Boldly Carry Guns, Act Above Nigerian Laws Retired DIG, Ekpoudom by naijabadoo(m): 4:36pm On Jun 25, 2017

Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG),
Udom Ekpoudom, has lamented the audacity of
Fulani herdsmen and how they conduct themselves
in other people’s territory.

He said their activities across the country totally
violate the constitution of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria.

“Maliciously damaging the properties of their
fellow Nigerians is a criminal offense. They should
be arrested and charged for malicious damage
which is punishable under the law.

“To worsen their case, they operate with prohibited
fire arms.

The police have the right to apprehend
them and charge them for unlawful possession of
fire arms but they are allowed to move about
freely.

“They commit malicious damage and assault,
occasioning harm and even killing hundreds of law-
abiding citizens, yet they are allowed to walk the
streets of this country as if they are operating
under a different constitution from the Nigerian
constitution.

“The herdsmen are rearing cows as their business
in the north while those of us in the south have
cassava, yams and other crops as our business.
“For the herdsmen to direct their cows to feed on
other people’s food crops amounts to man’s
inhumanity to man”, the former security chief told
Vanguard.

Recall that Ekpoudom warned Biafra agitators and
Northern youths issuing threats and provocative
speeches against Nigeria to slow down.

Politics / EFCC Reveals How Badeh Bought N240m House For His Son In Abuja by naijabadoo(m): 6:42am On Jun 21, 2017
http://www.gistpage.com.ng/thread/post/21-06-17-efcc-reveals-how-badeh-bought-n240m-house-for-his

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has claimed that former Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, Air Marshal Alex S. Badeh (retd) bought a house worth N240million and furnished it with N134million for his son, Alex Badeh junior in Abuja.

An operative of the EFCC, Abubakar Madaki, told a Federal High Court in Abuja, Tuesday, that he was the head of a task force that investigated a report from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in 2015, which formed the basis of the 10 count-charge of money laundering filed against Badeh and a company, Iyalikam Nigeria Limited.

Madaki, who testified Tuesday as the 19th prosecution witness in the trial of Badeh and his firm, said Badeh’s Bank Verification Number (BVN) linked the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal to the purchase of the house.

Led in evidence by lead prosecution lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), Madaki said Badeh bought the house located at 19, Ogun River Crescent, Abuja for his son, Alex Badeh (Jnr) in 2013.

The witness said the house was paid for in cash with dollar equivalent of N240m and that the property was furnished with N80m and air conditioning system was installed in the house with N12m.

Madaki said the house at 19; Ogun River Crescent, Abuja was one of the numerous properties linked to Badeh.

He said a tenancy agreement between Badeh’s son and a firm – Platinum Universal Construction Company (PUCC) – was drafted to conceal Alex Badeh (Jnr)’s true ownership of the house.

The witness stated that when Badeh’s son (for who the house was bought) was invited by the EFCC, he initially claimed to be a tenant in the house, and that he rented it from PUCC.
Madaki said, “For 19, Kumasi Crescent, Abuja, the occupant happened to be the son of the first defendant (Badeh) and his name is Alex Badeh Jnr.
“He was not at home but was request to report at the EFCC office by the next day.

“The next day, he reported and explained that he was renting the house from Platinum Universal Construction Company and that his rent was due to expire in 2014.

“Because of the claim, I instructed some officers to follow him and conduct a search of the house.

“After the search, they came back and he was released and asked to return in two days. But he said he was scheduled to fly a private plane as a pilot and would be unable to come that day.

“He came back the next day but we told him we were still making enquiries and that whenever we were ready we would notify him.

“Based on the name given to us by him as his landlord, we tried to conduct a search through BVN.

“Having verified it, we discovered that the company had an account with Zenith Bank and another with GT Bank.

“We requested the account documentation. We discovered that the Nigerian Air Force had had paid N92m into the company’s Zenith Bank account and N42m in two installments – N18m and, N24m. Altogether N42m was paid into the GTB account.

“We now invited the owner of the company, Kabiru Salau. When he came; he came with a tenancy agreement between Alex Badeh (Jnr) and the company claiming that Alex Badeh Jnr rented the apartment from his company.

“We inquired to know if he had any contract with the Nigerian Air Force and he said ‘yes it was long time ago’ when he was paid N356m for the renovation of the Nigerian Air Force Guest House.

“And he said he had not done any other contract with the Nigerian Air Force and was still insisting that he rented the apartment to Alex Badeh Jnr.

“He was then served with the company’s statements of account. Having gone through the statements of account, he started sweating.

“After some time, he said he would say the truth. He explained that actually, it was not true that Alex Badeh rented the apartment.

“He said sometimes in 2013, a friend of his introduced the property No 9, Kumasi Street to him, that he intended to sell it.

“And coincidentally, Salisu Yishau (the first prosecution witness in the trial – PW1) who gave him the job of renovating the Nigerian Air Force Guest House contacted him that he should get a befitting apartment for the son of the Air Chief of Staff, the first defendant, was asked to go and negotiate.

“He negotiated with the owner of the property fromN300m to N260m. He contacted Salisu Yishau and the fund was made available in dollar equivalent.

“Having paid the fund, he requested the name to be used for the document. He contacted who said he was going to speak with the first defendant.

“After sometime, PW1 got back to him, and said he should use the name of his company, Platinum Universal Construction Company (PUCC) to purchase the property.

“It was after the agreement that Alex Badeh Jnr met him through PW1 to take possession of the property.”

The witness added that when Alex Badeh Jnr inspected the house, he requested for a company that could furnish the house, shortly after N92m was transferred from the Nigerian Air Force’s account to PUCC’s account for that purpose.

Madaki added that: “Few hours later the company, Platinum Universal Construction Company received an alert of N92m from NAF.

“He called Alex Badeh to confirm if the money was from him because it was paid through the account of the Nigerian Air Force and he answered in the affirmative.”

The trial resumes tomorrow, Wednesday.

Religion / TB Joshua’s Relocation To Israel: Cardinal Okojie, Balarabe Musa React by naijabadoo(m): 6:34am On Jun 10, 2017
https://www.gistpage.com.ng/thread/post/10-06-17-tb-joshuas-relocation-to-israel

Cardinal Olubunmi Okojie, Catholic Archbishop
Emeritus of Lagos, has reacted to the notice by
Prophet TB Joshua that he is relocating to Israel.

“The man of God should not be intimidated over
hostility by government or any other body because
that is a true indication that God is working out His
purpose in the midst of His people”, he said.

Okojie advised TB Joshua to have a rethink and
reminded him of the persecution experienced by
Jesus Christ.

“All His disciples’ ministries followed the same
pattern, so Joshua should not remove from the
midst of his own people who need him greatly.

“He may not even realise the impact of what his
ministry is doing to the poor and needy beside
healing and setting captives free. Let him stay in
his own country and minister to the rest of the
world as he is doing,” Okojie told Daily Times.

Similarly, Balarabe Musa, former Governor of
Kaduna state, advised leader of The Synagogue,
Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) to remain in
Nigeria.

“What is TB Joshua’s reason for deciding to move
his wonderful ministry from his own country to
another country,” the elder statesman queried.

“If he is accusing the Lagos State Government of
persecution, why does he feel that he will have
religious sympathy in Israel rather than any other
country, considering the fact that Israel has a
tremendous amount of problems”, he added.

Musa called on the cleric to “rethink” his
resolution, saying Nigeria remained his home.

Crime / Why Nigerians Think I Am A Liar – Lai Mohammed by naijabadoo(m): 11:10am On Jun 05, 2017
https://www.gistpage.com.ng/thread/post/05-06-17-why-nigerians-think-i-am-a-liar-lai

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai
Mohammed, has explained why most Nigerians
perceive him as a political liar.

He said that being the face of opposition for so
long before joining the government at the centre
gave Nigerians the wrong ideas about him.

The Minister, while speaking during the Osasu
Show anchored by Osasu Igbinedion herself on AIT,
said Nigerians blamed him for lying because they
had associated him with the opposition party for
ten years.

Lai Mohammed said no one could fault the facts
and figures he had presented to Nigerians so far,
stressing that he had since challenged Nigerians to
point to any particular lie he told but that so far, no
Nigerian had pointed to any.

He said: “I think I carried two major burdens.

The first burden I carried is that I was the face of
opposition for almost a decade and I think quite a
big section of the internet has not forgiven me for
the role I played in the coming of this government.

“Many of them hold me personally responsible for
the defeat of the PDP. I am flattered by that but
the truth of that.

“It was Nigerians that wanted a new government
and I was just one of the instruments.

“I have always asked anybody to come out and say
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, this is what you said at this
point and we found it to be a lie and nobody so far
has come out to say anything.

“You can fault me on emotions but you can never
fault me on facts and figures.”
