Akpors and Ofego were taking a walk one morning when Akpors decided to urinate beside a school fence.

Akpors the busybody decided to go into journalism as he was told he could get good money from bringing in the best news.

He hit the road on his first day as a journalist in search of hot gists on the street; less than 30minutes into his quest, he stumbled upon a group of people standing around an accident scene, he was still wondering what was going on when he over heard one of the people say ‘chai, na so this driver just kill am’.

Getting excited about the matter he wanted to be the first to give breaking news of this tragic event, however, he could not get through as the crowd refused to move for him. All of a sudden he though about a good plan to gain access to the scene, he cleared his throat and shouted on top of his voice: “LET ME THROUGH, THE VICTIM IS MY FATHER!!!.”

To Akpors’ surprise, his plan worked perfectly as the horrified and surprised crowd suddenly parted ways in shock for him, happily he struggled to the middle of the crowd in excitement to take pictures, only for him to find a “DEAD GOAT”!!!

A teacher has been accused of having s*x with 12-year-old boy.

She claims she sent him P0*nographic texts messages as “s*xual therapy” to motivate him to be a better student.

“That was my purpose, to gain his attention. And yes, I did it in an inappropriate way,” Ethel Anderson, who was 29 at the time the abuse began, said in court.

According to reports, over 230 pages of sexually explicit text messages were sent between the teacher and student.

According to Bay News 9, prosecutors obtained more than 230 pages of sexually explicit text messages between the teacher and student.

Although she admitted sending the texts, she denied any contact occurred, and claimed the victim threatened to turn her in.

The victim, now 14, also testified about the alleged abuse on Tuesday.

The real reasons behind the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the general elections have emerged.

Chairman of the commission, Attahiru Jega, who has been under immense pressure lately, made the announcement for the shifts in election dates, yesterday, at a world press conference, invoking the provisions of the following in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended: Section 76(2), Section 116(2), Section 132(2) Section 178(2).

He also quoted Section 25 of the Electoral Act 2010 as amended.

Jega explained that INEC was prepared but the security challenge and the need not to deploy men and materials when the security agencies had issued an advisory, made the commission postpone the elections.

“We are not being forced by anybody to take this decision,” the INEC Chairman claimed.

“This is a decision that we had to take by ourselves. They were not pleasant decisions to take but we had to take the decisions. Nobody has forced us; nobody has coerced us.
We stand by this decision.”

However, Jega admitted that with the new dates, the Commission stands a better opportunity of fine-tuning some of its processes.

Although Jega claimed that the level of preparedness of the commission was better than how it was on 2011, there are several things yet to be put in place.

A status report published by Vanguard, which cited sources, revealed that training manuals for ad hoc staff are not ready. Presiding Officers are also yet to be trained.

Other points in Vanguard’s report include the following:

– 700,000 ad hoc staff not recruited yet

-PVCs still being printed abroad

-RECs yet to print Voter Register

– Printers for Register still in Abuja

– No full complement of ballot boxes

-Fake printing ink sent to states from headquarters rejected

-Many states yet to get balance of Card Readers

The presidential and National Assembly elections, earlier slated for Saturday, February 14, 2015, will now hold on Saturday, March 28, 2015.

The governorship and state legislative elections will hold on April 11, 2015.

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Saturday announced a shift in the 2015 general elections earlier slated for February 14 and 28.
Announcing the postponement at a press conference in Abuja some few hours ago, the chairman of the Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, said the presidential and national assembly elections will now hold on March 28 while the governorship and state houses of assemblies election will take place on April 11.
The INEC chair blamed the elections postponement on the inability of the nation’s security agencies to provide manpower for the elections.
According to Jega, the security agencies told INEC that they were commencing a six-week special operation against Boko Haram insurgents in the north eastern part of the country and would rather not be weighed in by the elections.
Mr. Jega announced that the security agencies also informed the commission that operations to dislodge the sect are due to commence on February 14, the date earlier slated for the presidential and federal legislative elections.

Nineteen giant bombs have been discovered by the Adamawa state police.
According to the police, the bombs were found hidden in a bush in the state, Punch reports.
It was gathered that the bombs were ready to be detonated by suspected suicide bombers in some strategic places of the state capital.
When contacted, the state’s Police Commissioner, Gabriel Adeji, confirmed the bomb-haul in Yola.
ThisDay reports that the police CP said the bombs were uncovered inside the bush of Song Local Government area of the state following an intelligence report.
He noted that the police had been trailing the activities of the insurgents following media reports last week that some suspected members of the Boko Haram sect were planning to bomb the state capital......

Multi-award winning Nigerian Afrobeat musician, singer and songwriter Lagbaja has advised Nigerians on the coming 2015 presidential elections.


The 1960-Lagos-state-born musician, who is a Baptist by upbringing, has made some remarks about the President Goodluck Jonathan administration and the coming elections. The Globacom ambassador, popular for his masked-face, has declared that he is ready to exercise his voting rights, unlike some celebrities who have made it known that they won’t vote.

Lagbaja, who has received his Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) after waiting a long time, claimed that the president, who is seeking re-election, does not have the ability to rule the country. He also said that some forces may have pushed President Goodluck Jonathan to seek re-election, since the president was quoted as saying he did not plan to run for a second term.

The singer said that he “knows that President Jonathan cannot do this job”. In his own words:

“He(Jonathan)really wants to leave now, he does not want a second term, but he cannot say that publicly. He is a hostage of the people pushing him because of them, he cannot simply walk away. So, he has to play along by campaigning for re-election. He really needs your help so that he can leave with dignity, help him by voting him out. Vote Buhari/Osinbajo on February 14.”
