Funke Akindele gifts Pa James an apartment after flood took over his home for the second year in a row



Funke Akindele has gifted an apartment to veteran actor Kayode Olasehinde Ajirebi, aka Pa James, after his house in Oke Isagun community of Oke Odo, Lagos, was affected by the recent flood.

Pa James cried out for help after dirty water got into his house on July 7, 2020, and soaked his belongings. This comes one year after Pa James' son, Samuel Ajirebi cried out on Instagram and shared photos and videos of his father's flooded house.

Funke Akindele came to the family's rescue by giving an apartment to the actor.

Actress Oluwakemi Adetoro Ojo made the announcement on Instagram, writing: "On behalf of PA JAMES,I Want to say Big thank you to @funkejenifaakindele for the the new apartment given to him by you.God bless you so much for your good heart Anikeademi your type is so rare..you are a gem.Almighty God will continue make way for you where dier seems to be no way."

A woman has died after suffering severe burns while answering a call close to cooking gas.

Friends took to Facebook to share photos of her burns after the incident as they prayed for her to survive.

Unfortunately, her health took a turn for the worse and she died.

Her friends are mourning her on Facebook while warning people to desist from answering phone calls near a cooking gas.

BET Awards 2020: Burna Boy wins Best International Act for the second consecutive year (Video)



Burna Boy has won the Best International Act for the second consecutive year, becoming the first Nigerian artiste to win the BET Awards back to back.

The Nigerian singer floored Innoss’B (DRC), Sho Madjozi (South Africa), Dave (UK), Stormzy (UK), Ninho (France), and S.Pri Noir (France) to scoop the gong at the first-ever virtual BET Awards which held on Sunday night.

British supermodel, Naomi Campbell presented the Best International Act award to Burna Boy, who gave his acceptance speech virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In his acceptance speech, the singer said: "I'll like to use this opportunity to say that sometime around 1835, there was a mission to turn Africa into a dominated nation."

"Now is the time to overturn that and go back to the royalty that we were, because, in order for black lives to matter, Africa must matter"
