John5326:
Let me correct something. This is what I see many beginners and even professionals make in forex. Am a forex trader too with years of experience

Is forex trading gambling? Yes it is

Is forex trading like sport betting? No it's not

What is gambling? Gambling is anything that involves risk, money and the outcome is to make more isn't it. Then why do you say forex trading isn't gambling

Doesn't trading involve risk, money and outcome of more. It does.

Now is forex trading like sport betting? No it's not, do you spend months and even years practicing how to play sport betting? Never you just go to a punter, place a bet with no risk management whatsoever and expect to win.

But in Forex trading you spend even years practicing and also apply strong risk management or else you will be kicked out, before you start trading real account

Can you survive on betting? No
Can you survive on forex? Yes of course more than a millon Nigerians do.

Betting is all about chance
Forex trading is all about risk management

So you can't compare the both of them

Now you see strong Christians trading forex but you never see them playing sports betting why?

The Bible is never against gambling, the Bible is against getting rich quick and love for money. If your a good bible scholar am sure you can attest to this.

Can you get rich quick from betting? Of course, people put in 100naira to make 40millon and with chance some have succeeded

Can you get rich with forex trading? Never, try it and see if it's possible. Anyone you know that got rich by putting 100naira into forex trading and made even 10000naira let me know. It's not even possible to put 100naira

Professional traders will always tell you if you want to make a million naira from forex then put 100millon. What does that tell you it's not a get rich quick scheme.

Back to gambling. Let's talk about investing, if someone comes to you with a business plan and asks you to give him some capital and you do, what have you done, believe it or not you have gambled. How? You have risked your money into someone's business and your expecting more from this business isn't it. Exactly now you get the point.

Many people gamble without even knowing they are actually gambling.
Whatever you put your money into that that has risk and your expectation is to make more, it is gambling. The next thing is to ask yourself is it a get rich quick scheme, if yes it doesn't glorify God, if No then go ahead

In life you must take risks and God is aware about it. Risk that involves money too. No billionaire today became that without risk unless it was an inheritance. No successful person today became that without risk.

People who are into real estate risk there money to build houses. Houses they don't know if one day it will burn down, if one day it will collapse. They just take that risk which involves their money and the outcome of course is to make more. Are they gambling yes of course. Are they getting rich quick. No. And God is happy with them

So change your mentality today

Forex is gambling. Its just an educative gambling.

Cause without the education you cannot do it.

If someone should ask you if forex trading is gambling tell them yes because it contains risk so do every business. It's simple
You nail it.
Hard Truth
Christianity EtcRe: Apostle Suleman On Coronavirus: "Permit Us To Heal & Pray For COVID-19 Patients" by naira4ever(m): 9:47am On Apr 26, 2020
Bola146:
It's a good idea but you can still pray for them anywhere.
Yeah, what a good idea!
Actually, it's not necessarily he goes there but let all these GOs and MoGs gather themselves together in a place (a handful of the prominent ones are in Lagos, FCT and PH) and pray unto God and creator of the universe. The prayer moment should be televised as most of theses churches own TV stations/channels on Satellite TV like Dove TV, LoveWorld and Emmanuel TV etc, so that viewers around the world would join them in prayers.

I strongly believe God would hear from above and heal our land if these MoGs could come together in one accord and lead their followers in seeking the face of God and fervent prayer against this pandemic. 2 Chroicles 7:14.

But am afraid, unity among Christian's is a scarce commodity.

greenalwaz: @OP pls i'll lik 2 ask u ds questn after learnin wat u said abt lot size, where do leverage issue comes in then,i mean in d calculation of d lot,or i dont nid to b bother abt it mayb i can use say 50:1,400:1 whichever i lik.pls kindly explain, thks in advance
Sorry 4 d late response as i do not come here often due to my busy schedule. Leverage is a double edged sword. The thing is before going on live account at all, you need to choose leverage like me i use to select 1:100. please google "forex leverage" and ensure you understand the pros & cons of it very well. You may see http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/06/forexleverage.asp
I may also try to talk about it & explain deeply some other time.

In the calculation of lot size, you need to determine your risk amount (in dollar) first before you enter any trade. That is you want to risk $24 from your $500 trading account on a trade with 80 pips as stop loss. On a standard account where 0.01 lot = $0.10 per pip, your lot size should be $24/80pips = 0.30 x 0.1 = 0.03 as lot size. So, invariably if you multiply $0.30 (0.03 lot size) by 80 pips, then your risk on that trade will be $24.

God bless.

naira4ever: Still holding onto this trade.
Stopl loss adjusted to 0.8990
There is a strong weekly support @ 0.9007
The break of the support area to the downside
nullifies the trade. Hope you use a small fraction (%)
of your account.

I am looking forward to buying usd/chf. The 8:00 4 hr bar is a bullish reversal (pin bar) bar showing the rejection of support @ 0.9006, the close above the previous bar would confim the upmove.
An aggressive trader may dive into this trade now placing stop loss @ 0.8990 and targeting 0.9120 but as a patient and risk-avert trader, would wait for the present 4hr bar close or more importantly, the daily close.
I may attach chart later.
Always have a plan and trade your plan.

arbitrage: Do you know of any of them that after accepting payments from my clients will remit to me in dollars as my customers pay on my website in dollars instead of giving me Naira at their own rate and commission?
@arbitrage, i believe you know the drill better as a vast internet guy now.
Anyway, If you will like to receive card payment in dollar on your website, i think you will have to use the likes of Paypal, Payza, Moneybookers or better still contact Payoneer.
Payoneer provides such service for their international clients and your website name will be engraved on your own branded debit cards as a partner. Your clients will order for your cards (optional) when they have a verified accounts with you. Once you meet payoneer's partner requirements, you are good to go cos they will ask you some qs and give you form to fill. Just contact them on their website.
