We used Itara wood for all roofing, Ogborugboru ( Mighty Mighty ) wood for all nogging and Iroko wood for facial board.

If you paid carpenter over 100k for decking work then why would the take 7k per flat on lintel and adjourning column work?My carpenter is asking for 40k for all the form work at block stage. Is that a good price. My iron bender is asking for 55k for all the iron work in the column and lintel for the two flats. Is that a good price?
It is a twin flat 3 bedroom each, two story building, but I literarily just completed my german floor. Please help

The 7k per flat is the estimated Carpenter labour cost we paid for this project. Each flat is two bedroom, all materials including nails were bought by us. As I said in one of the previous posts, it's for lintels only (and few adjoining columns). We cast most of the columns before Lintel.

Budget ₦4,500 - ₦5,000 per 100 blocks

For Lintel get quotation from Carpenters. Budget ₦ 5,000- ₦ 7,000 per Flat.

Does the 25k carpenter include columns?

25K is for Lintel and associated columns done at time of casting the lintel.

The Columns reinforcement Iron bars were done in piecemeal, we paid per amount of work done daily. A good guide to how much you pay Artisans ( Carpenters, Bricklayers, Iron bender etc ) is ₦3,000 per day work. Labourers ( Mallams ) ₦ 1500-₦2000 per day work. The amount of work to be done is often contentious. From my experience contract is better. Negotiate the amount of work to be done and the price before commencement

Iron bender for all lintel, columns and pillars-
Labourers casting columns and lintel -

For the first floor a total 4,700-5,000 9'' block were used. 4,500 Naira per 100 block charged as mason labour ( Bricklayer 3,000 Naira, Labourer--1,500 Naira ).

For Lintel the Carpenter collected 25,000 Naira . For columns casting Bricklayer ( mason ) collects 4,000 Naira,------- Labourer ( Mallams ) 2,00-3,000 naira per day depending on amount of casting done.

I met Rahoof at his office on Friday, to buy a console from him, he sold me ps3 slim 320 GB and loaded twenty games free for me. He is a complete gentleman.
The console is working perfectly. Rahoof keep it up.

I have 500g superslim Ps3 for sale. The console is very new, It has been used to play Grand theft Auto and need for speed twice only.

The suspended slab or decking for the water tank ( top of left staircase only ) is sized for maximum of three tanks for building One and two for building Two, we intend to install two tanks for each building. There will be no tank on the kitchen decking , we decked the kitchen solely for fire outbreak protection. Kitchens being the most likely place building fire often occur. The kitchen suspended slabs would be roofed as if no decking were there.

Please, how many tonnes are these heaps of granite? 30 tonnes?

The total granite bought was 8 trips of 15 tonnes tipper. I.e 8 X 15 tonnes = 120 tones.

The estimated granite needed for the decking was 6 X 15 tonnes = 90 tones. We decided to buy 30 tonnes excess to be used later because price was less when buying more. After the decking we had more than 30 tonnes left.

Note------- The so called 15 tones ford tippers are actually less than 15 tonnes . A supplier once confided in me that they are 14 tonnes if loaded fully at Quarry and delivered the way it was loaded. Many suppliers are cheat, they secretly off load part of what was loaded from Quarry and show you waybill of 15 tonnes.

We decked the two buildings together the same day. The total cost of decking is 2.8M, building One is twice the size ( surface area ) of building Two. Thus you estimate the cost of decking building One as 2/3 of the total cost.
