spyder880:As I said in one of the earlier posts, at the start of the project I left many decisions making to the supervising building contractor ( some say engineer). With no previous experience in house building, many decisions were taken by the supervising building contractor. With your years of contact with ''building contractor'' by trade and practice, they keep telling you number of houses they built in Victoria Island, Maryland , Yaba, Gbagada etc 30 years ago and still standing. The building contractor said it is of no need since it one story building. But my subsequent project already on the way will have decking beam to cap all the block walls and connect column to column. Let me say hear most of what I know of house building is from Nairaland Property section and this very project. In the picture ( another project coming ) below, I told the same building contractor to cast all the foundation block walls at DPC level. I got this idea from one of the building Gurus on this forum. Initially the builder said no need, I insisted and he agreed with me ( I pay the bill ---Joking ). For this reason I employ us all to encourage positive critique of building projects on the forum especially when it is being done by practicing building professionals, many of them on this forum. I will not mention names.

@ @ diordaves A visitor don't need to go all length and breath of the house to use toilet. The plan I uploaded consist of ground floor and first floor plan, ( where "ground floor" is written is not visible from the picture ), you will see a visitor toilet named ''VT'' at the entrance to sitting room from outside the flat. For the upper flat a visitor can only access the visitor toilet named''VT" on the first floor plan from sitting room not outside. See the attached complete plan picture.

@ diordaves. The building plan I uploaded is for building Two. I must confess the design has some issues but that seems the best way to optimize the land, . I will upload the plan for building One later, the layout is excellent. On ''all round chaining'' , It was done for the upper flats as you will see later. This is one of the ways Nairaland Property section contributed to final outcome of the project. When the project started I was not too assertive on how things where to be done. This is not easy when you are not a professional or experienced person in building industry . After following building projects by professionals and sound contributions on these projects (spyder880, Brabus, Fhemmmy Chekitau, Hajji etc ) on nairaland I started to assert my views and most time I have my ways |
I have Need For Speed Shift 2 Unleashed and Grand Thief Auto V. I don't want to swap, I want to hack the console so that I can get more games. |
@ agarawu23 Building One---------------------------2.75M Building Two---------------------------1.27M Note. We completed Building one to lintel before starting Building Two. Thus, most of the ancillary cost ; Omo onile, Area boys, Tanks, Site preparation, gates etc goes to building One. |
@ bigiyaro I already have a console which I bought some weeks ago. I want to hack it. |
