jaycent:Why are you posting compounds? ![]() I can get way nicer compounds in tiny towns like Nanyuki around Mt. Kenya. lol. Post me large areas so that we can see what Ibadan is made of. Are you scared of exposing the rusty roofs? ![]() https://i.imgur.com/fRThR91.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VNQmCNx.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CrrREHDWIAEXVht.jpg https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/0c/a3/70/8d/englishpoint-marina-hotel.jpg |
jaycent:You mean this is the best Ibadan can offer? ![]() Eldoret is better than this. Look at Mombasa. ![]() https://sheheena.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/img6-site1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8QwR8Tn.png https://i.imgur.com/XW3PG3p.jpg |
68816419:We are talking about Mombasa dude. Why are you always angry and jumping into every argument with exactly the same arguments? ![]() |

darfay:There is no total wealth for the whole of Kenya from my source. Which school did you go to again? There is Nairobi that has a half the wealth of Lagos and a quarter of its population. ![]() |
forgiveness:Dude, these are slums. Danielnino00:Mombasa is almost as rich as Abuja despite being smaller and not a capital city. ![]() https://2oqz471sa19h3vbwa53m33yj-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/africa-wealth-report.jpg |
forgiveness:Mombasa slums still look better than Ibadan middle class. ![]() https://hotels.ng/guides/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/149055412288011-6.jpg www.nairaland.com/attachments/8826316_istockphoto5330531091024x1024_jpegbf5837e248296aeaefca16190d8c0139 |

samsobo24:If Ghanaians can give 90% first hand information about Nigeria, then why do you disagree with what they tell you about Nigeria? ![]() |
forgiveness:You need to be a special kind of idiot to compare this ............... www.nairaland.com/attachments/5215984_cn4guiew8aaanzy_jpegda28d77553b73d52d4c1f4488c5f0be0 to this............... https://hotels.ng/guides/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/149055412288011-6.jpg |
forgiveness:1. His argument was Nigeria being better than Kenya for having its capital as the economic hub. 2. Kenya also have other developed cities and in way better shape than your Ogbomoshos, Ibadans, Onitshas, Abeokutas and Kanos. |
samsobo24:You can only restore something that once existed. |
rvp20182:Thank you. Whenever I say this, people think I am hating. Nairobi hasn't built many new structures of late (other than the UoN tower and the new mortuary) but when they do, they build class. KU could solve this by hiring top architectural firms - look at Strathmore, USIU and CUEA - I view them as having the most modern and iconic newly built structures of all universities in Kenya at the moment and they don't have schools of Architecture. They just hire top firms. KU builds like those village university colleges - only on a larger scale. |
tylann:I don't rate her that much high. Build lots of tacky infrastructure, didn't invest in research though. Some of the buildings she built were ill adviced - like the Uni-City Mall. KU is an academic institution, not a real estate company. |
Jonraid:Man.......it hurts. Though we were used to it. We actually made fun about it to each other. |
tylann:I just don't like their buildings, nothing much. Mugenda was in a rush to leave a legacy, built many buildings but they were tacky. I feel like with the same money she could come up with something quality. See, the UoN Administration block was built over 50 years ago and still is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. The world over, Major universities build iconic buildings, I expected more from KU. https://www.mediamaxnetwork.co.ke/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/A-monument-at-UoN-main-campus.jpg |
tylann:Now, if Egerton is that far in the rural and you experience that, Imagine the situation in UoN which is right in the middle of East and Central Africa's economic hub. |
tylann:It is tacky. For that money they could have come up with something like CUEA's - check it out.

Jonraid:It's true my friend, I tell you. When I ws in 3rd year, I bagged the most gorgeous girl from first-year courtesy of the gold rush. Chick was an angel I tell you. Brown skin, tall - similar to Sarah Hassan. I become an instant sensation. Guys ranked me. I would take her to my room and cook for her and the next time we go to her room. Nailed her till I spoofed my great-grandchildren. Then some bitches started looking at us strange. Soon she was chanuad - at UoN beauties of that standard don't waste themselves on campus boys. Her naivity left her and soon she was rolling with the mighty and famous. By the time I was in 5th year, bitch was driving a 3-series. Some Kiambu Mafia sponyo bagged her. No regrets though, the 2 months I screwed her were some of my best in campus. That was the sole reason we came to KU - KU babes didn't have as much access to sponyos like UoN babes. |
Jonraid:KU is not bigger, it is just in the same place. At UoN, the school of Arts in the CBD, the School of Engineering is in the CBD, the hostels for the school of Arts, Engineering, built environment are at Mamlaka, the school of built environment is in Mamlaka, the College of Sciences is in Chiromo, the Mortuary (New and old) is in Chiromo, the school of Medicine is at Kenyatta National Hospital, the school of Dentistry is opposite Nairobi hosptal, the school of law is in Parklands, the School of Business is in Lower Kabete, the School of Agriculture is in Upper Kabete, the School of International studies and Education is in Kikuyu, the School of Education Sciences is on Ngong road. You can't view the whole UoN at once like you do KU but if you brought all of them together, UoN would be way larger. You have that shuttle because you need it. Why would we need a shuttle in UoN main Campus for instance? To ferry us from Mamlaka to CBD? ![]() |
tylann:Which campus are you from? |
tylann:Who are most people? KU guys? ![]() The problem with most people is that they don't even understand UoN well. They think UoN is just that administration block. Also remember, most people always stand with the underdogs - if Man Utd played against Watford, most people other than Man Utd fans will support Watford. ![]() |
samorobo:Please, restrain from posting that midget tower. It is super ugly. Ordinary KU buildings would put it to shame. ![]() |
Jonraid:I also came to KU lol. You're mistaken though if you think we came because you had cuter babes. UoN has waaay waay more beautiful babes. Remember during placement, KU always plays second fiddle. The only reason we came was because UoN is in the city centre and our babes were used to being spoilt by the working class. Majority of us campus boys couldn't afford their lifestyles. On Fridays, the whole Mamlaka Road is a parking lot for Range Rovers, Mercs, Benzes and beamers of sponsors coming to pic the most gorgeous girls. In fact some of the most gorgeous KU girls used to flood UoN on fridays to have a piece of the sponsor cake. ![]() |
Jonraid:UoN uses Kenyatta hospital as their training facility. There was no need to build another hospital when we have the largest referral hospital in the region at our disposal. Anyway, what has KU training facility achieved in comparison to UoN? If you've been at Kenyatta National Hospital or taken a patient there, you've probably been treated by UoN medical students. Can your training facility brag even 1% of the achievements ours can brag of? ![]() |
