Exactly what they are not doing... Where is the link to share/ upload these documents to them. MrAAA2: Well, I would do that but helpline is not working. But I got response from one of the emails this morning stating that due to restrictions on COVID-19, only exempted categories of visa application would be entertained of which student visa is among. |

Thank God I had finally got an appointment for 14/09/2020 for certification of my documents. Uni Bremen had insisted on only The German Consulate for certification of documents. If you are heading to Uni Bremen log in now and book your appointment before they get filled up again. I d been on it for weeks and couldn't get appointment. I will also seize the opportunity to ask questions when I get their on Monday as regards AD. Best of luck guys Afeez234: Good Morning everyone, it's a new week now. Let's all try to reach out to the consulate possibly via phone cause international flights are on now, what other excuses do they have...... Dates are like peanuts for Cat A in Ghana where people get to select there preferred time.... Let's all try to reach out to them..... |

Here they come to save the day. Our heroes... dennison4luv: Let's always be objective when we are hoping for a miracles to happen. From what happened in 2019 winter to almost 2020 summer that is March 2020 before the Coronavirus break, it will be hard for many people to make it to Germany this winter 2020 especially those in category B. If the embassy open they will first deal with those that they have previously gave AM and those they gave AD before the break, then before thinking about new applicants. And this is August ending and from the news Nigeria government has postponed the resumption of international flight to a new date, hence putting all your hope in this year's winter can cause you depression so start thinking on alternatives. Thanks |

Guys check this out. I no see Nigeria as part of students that raised dust ohhhh. Check our situation and Cameron now. After some people will come here and be making noise that Nigerian students want to protest. The countries like Cameron and Egypt that are being attended to at least now we now why. We were just silent, suffering and smiling. https://m.dw.com/en/international-students-made-to-wait-months-for-german-visas/a-51943350RMatthias: Thank you. This should be the best advice for us. Online enrollment shld be the next thing now. Guys, Let's try enrolling ourselves online and start taking online courses.
We will all get to Germany before December or January by God's grace. |

Many thanks for your incisive contribution my brother. This is what we expect, people who seek out information and make it available on the platform unlike some people. If you have gone through the link, can we deliberate on this. iPOD007: https://m.dw.com/en/coronavirus-foreign-students-on-online-courses-are-denied-visas-to-germany/a-54567800
The is one of the reasons the Embassy is delaying in giving people dates. 1- The cases are rising again in Germany and new measures are to be put in place. They have to be strict with Visa issuance now. 2- From the the Nigerian perspective, the airports are currently closed so it would even be heard for the embassy to justify with the alien offices when each applicant can travel down.
My Advice, if its possible for you to enroll online, go ahead and do it. Take very few courses, maybe 2 or 3. Ensure you participate and have yourself registered as a participating student. Do assignments and do exams. Its hard, but doable. I am sure, these set of people will be given preference when the world eventually returns to normal.
The world as we know it as changed, we just have to adapt to it now.
Good luck guys. |

So if Nigerian embassy in Berlin just they open work fully then is it the policy of " reciprocity" they are holding on to just to reduce the numbers. God help us. Let international flight open maybe that's the change needed when it comes to the Nigerian situation. olig: What I know is that, the embassy will chose when to start visa processes, they decide who gets the visa and when. Even with diplomatic passport, they can deny visa.
Are you guys aware that Nigerian Visa is one of the most difficult to get?
Embassy will not act on the fact that you have other means to fly (which are illegal). They will act based on the official information received from your government.
Since February, my friend just got passport for her daughter last week, just because of the situation.
You are righting Berlin while your own embassy in Berlin just start work fully.
Am not saying you guys should not protest o. I just pity the subsequent set.
So is German embassy we can protest against because they allow freedom. We can't talk about our own country issue that brought us this mess.
Just pray (and act where necessary) the committee work fast and open international airway before the end of the month and all will be fine.
Otherwise, nothing changed.
It so the Berlin that will give them go ahead when they are on the same page with Nigeria. That was what the VO told me two weeks ago. |

Guys the list of exemptions have been uploaded on the German Lagos consulate websites. You re required to contact the consulate through the contact form or line to clarify with them. Noted on the website is the requirement that you need to have a letter of presence from your school stating categorically that your presence is needed in Germany despite the corona virus. Only then can you get your appointment date. I v just sent a message to them via their contact form. I will equally call them tomorrow to let them know I have a letter of presence from my school. We LL see what happens after that. Light2020: No, before it was stated clearly that they were not going to be accepting applications and they have been doing it on a discretionary basis.
But now they are accepting applications for people under the exception criteria which students fall under. The only thing they need to resolve is if we would need to book again? |

We should pray that Aug 6 PTF role out of the third phase of lock down favours us with the new protocols on international flights and actual date of resumption. Anything short of that will be a disaster. olig: Unfortunately, the embassy(Visa officer) don't know when exactly student visa application will resume. She said until they receive instructions from Germany. She said students should just keep checking the website.
I believe FG is now waking up to the reality of the situation. And now the number of cases is reducing gradually. Hopefully international flights will resume very soon (officially).
But I was made to believe that international flight is even now possible. I spoke with an Airline yesterday and they confirm same (at least from middle of the month; around 19th). Though Tue embassy will wait for official statement on that.
I know it is hard time and expectations are quite high, but keep the hope alive. It will end in praise.
Goodluck! |

Better get yourself enrolled for your course while you start off here... Once you get a date be sure to prove that your presence is still required and you d meet up with your course. The problem with most of you is you v failed to research on the avalanche of information so many guys in DE now have posted on this forum on how they were able to circumvent this kind of situations. Oga get urself ready for online classes while you pursue ur visa period. clintonsparkz: is it really about that, it's August already, time is fast going, getting this letter and still no date makes no sense, the federal government don't want to resume international flight, the question here if they resume by September or October how can we meet up...sad situation |

So I got a mail from University of Bremen this morning suggestive of the fact that it might become a norm this time; it probably won't be an issue since every school is sending it without even you requesting it. The letter went thus: Confirmation for submission to the German Embassy Dear Mr..... Due to the Corona the courses in the winter semester will be offered in hybrid form,i.e a mixture of online and face to face formats. The presence of students in Bremen in required. With kind regards Your student office *** Just like I stated earlier I got this letter this morning without even requesting for it. My own take... I don't think the 1000 euro suffice for both of you. You'd probably be needed to provide additional proof of income because the scholarship covers just your wife. I think you should clarify the financial aspect so they don't deny you visa because of that. That s my take. Guys help him out... Majekodunmi66: Hello Everyone, Please I need help regarding this situation.
So my wife while not yet married to me, in March 2020 got an Erasmus NOHA+ Scholarship from the EU for a mobility Masters programme in Poland, Germany and The Netherlands for 24months.
Given the Covid-19 situation, she will be resuming in Germany. in May, she applied for visa as a single lady. We are now married.
Recently she emailed the EU, the Masters Programme Coordinators and her School in Germany to inform them that she just got wedded and that she will like to travel with me (her husband) for the period of her stay and that she has applied for a long term visa for me.
Immediately, the EU wrote to the German Embassy with our ref numbers and informed them that my wife's programme commences in September and that we should be attended to despite the close of the visa office. The Embassy responded to the EU saying that they need a confirmation from my wife's school that it is mandatory for her to be in Germany for the study, which was forwarded to the Embassy.
Cut the story short... we got an appointment same day 7am and 9am respectively for August 2020. The issue here is that her email for an appointment has more requirement than mine because she is the Awardee. They asked my wife to come with all her documents, blocked account or scholarship documentation from the EU, while mine being her husband did not come with any requirement other than for my passport number must not be incorrect. They didnt even ask me for a blocked account or health insurance, absolutely nothing.
By the scholarship, her monthly allowance is 1000 euro and her school is in Bochum, Germany. Please what do you advise that I do on my own part.
Do I just go with my wife to the VISA interview just like that? Because my appointment actually didn't ask me for anything, maybe my wife's documentation would suffice for me, I don't know. I need an Advise on how and what to do before mid August 2020 and what are the possible questions I may be faced with at the interview come August
Thank you |
