Nairaland General › Re: Rich Nigerians Spending Millions On London Property - video report from London! by Nanook: 6:18pm On Dec 06, 2014
Nigerians make up a tiny percentage of high end London property sales, it's mostly Russians, Americans and Brits. the women who said a Nigeria is buying a house for £50m is probably exaggerating that figure.

Sports › Re: 5 Reasons Why Messi Doesn’t Need To Leave Barcelona Toprove His Greatness by Nanook: 4:45pm On Sep 11, 2014
hemor: Scholes, Gerrard and Giggs play(ed) in EPL where defenders don't smile. did u see the welcome gift burnley gave Di Maria? It's easier for messi to score 91 goals and win ballon d'or 4 times becos :-
1. he is a striker, ronaldo is a winger.
2. he plays in barca with d best midfielders in the world with a tactic dat can frustrate any team except 4 stubborn teams.
3. barca has a better team work unlike madrid that is full of individual players.
4. barca has 1 major goal scorer(messi) and when he is not fit dey always have problem to win even when playing small teams but madrid have 3 major goal scorers(ronaldo, bale and benzema) and when ronaldo is not fit, dey can still beat any team(last season copa del rey final showed that).

They are both great players and the argument about who is better will last forever just like pele/maradona argument. Everyone picks who is better based on their opinion which isn't a bad thing.

As for me I would pick ronaldo becos he won ballon d'or in EPL which isn't easy at all.
Ronaldo isn't a winger, he averages more shots per game and offsides than most strikers, including Benzema. Ronaldo practically plays as a striker for Madrid.
Science/Technology › Re: 10 Mysteries That Science Can't Explain by Nanook: 2:19pm On Sep 04, 2014
The Bermuda Triangle isn't a mystery, it's just a high traffic ship/plane area so historically it has seen more crashes. That's literally it, planes and ships don't crash at a higher rate inside the triangle it's just that there is more of them.

Sports › Re: Fenerbahce Release Joseph Yobo by Nanook: 12:17am On Aug 31, 2014
Allohrandy: I know but most clubs buy or sign majority of their players during the transfer window period. They usually sign free players if they have injured players and need immediate replacements. Yobo club should have release him during the summer break because Its going to be more difficult for Yobo to get a club than if he had be release during the beginning of summer. I wish yobo the best of luck tho
If he doesn't decide to retire I can see him going outside of Europe to find a club. China, India or the Middle East wouldn't be a bad move for Yobo at this stage in his career, those leagues don't run in the same months as they do in Europe so the whole summer break thing wouldn't be a problem.

Crop circles are just silly, two guys who did the original one in the 1970s admitted it was them in 1991. The Bermuda Triangle isn't a mystery either, that area has a massive amount of plane and ship travel going through it, planes and ships don't crash at a higher rate there it's just there is more of them so there is more crashes.

9jatatafo: Where are all these strange diseases emanating from? AIDS/HIV, CANCER, BIRD FLU, DIABETES, EBOLA, HYPERTETIS B all no cure.. Is the disease world waging a war against humanity or there some crazy scientists manufacturing this killer machines called DISEASES? May JEHOVAH God help us.
Diseases have been around for millions of years, Ebola has probably been around for thousands of years so it is nothing new.
Health › Re: Baby Who Had Been "Cured" Of HIV Now Has The Virus Resurfacing by Nanook: 10:24am On Jul 12, 2014
ZeGull: 3 in 4 heterosexual Caucasian Males are naturally resistant to HIV.

The resistance breaks down in gay white males. This points to the fact that the mode of transmission is key to the virus infectious rate and also that the virus is selective to certain gene pools and genders.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2001/08/010823083108.htm
It is nowhere near 3 in 4, it is something like 5% of European Caucasian males are naturally resistant to HIV, this includes gay people too.
