Adichie did not set to write the book to teach morals. I think that is looking at it wholly from an African perspective. The book is intended, instead, to depict reality. However I agree with the OP as to the issue of Adichie demeaning the institution of marriage, men being seen as a means to an end and the subtle glorification of sugar daddies. |
