Deb'rah Porsche (Deborah Moses) was stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend, Lintex, in Lagos on September 3, 2025. He allegedly posed as a dispatch rider, attempted to tamper with her gas line, then broke in and attacked her. He's in custody.
It’s so sad she lost her life, she broke up with her boyfriend 2 years ago But he wasn’t having it / moving on These are the words he said to her anytime he calls her ,
“No one will have you if I can’t “ , “blood will flow if we don’t get married “
Benue interior designer killed by ex-boyfriend in Lagos
A young interior designer, Deborah Moses, widely known by her brand name Deb’rah Porsche, has been stabbed to death in Lagos by her former boyfriend, months after their separation.
The suspect, identified as Lintex from Otukpo, Benue State, allegedly gained access to the estate where Deborah resided on Wednesday night by disguising as a dispatch rider.
When security personnel became suspicious, he reportedly scaled the perimeter fence to enter the compound.
According to activist Meddy Olotu, the suspect first attempted to sabotage the gas pipeline outside the apartment in what appeared to be an effort to trigger an explosion.
After that failed, he forcibly broke into Deborah’s residence, where he attacked her with a knife and inflicted multiple stab wounds that led to her death.
Family sources said Deborah had ended the relationship over a year ago, but the suspect persistently harassed her and issued threats.
“They have broken up for more than a year now, but this guy refused to move on. He keeps making statements like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,’” her sister recalled.
She added that Deborah, who had just finished her National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, assignment and was pursuing a career in interior decoration, had been ignoring persistent calls and advances from her former partner.
“She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” the sister said.
Neighbors overpowered the suspect after the attack and handed him over to the police.
He is currently in custody as the victim’s family and rights groups demand justice and urge authorities not to allow the case to be swept under the carpet.
naptu2: Yeah, I remember that. I expect that he'll put out an apology soon. But how did he make that mistake? I'll tell you.
1) I watched the event live, so I know what was said. I also follow the news, so I know the context.
President Buhari signed a new finance bill and it increased the VAT rate. Vice President Osinbajo said that the new VAT rate was still too low and that it was one of the lowest in Africa.
At his birthday colloquium, Chief Tinubu told Professor Osinbajo that they shouldn't increase the VAT rate. He said that, instead, they should widen the tax net.
This is an old and common debate in Nigeria. Nigeria is broke and poor, yet there are a lot of things that the government needs to do (we have an infrastructure and service deficit, so the government needs to spend a lot of money on things like roads, schools, hospitals, bridges and security). Where will the money come from? (A) Some people say that government should increase taxes, but (B) some people say that there are many people that are not paying taxes at all and the government should find a way to make them pay tax, rather than increasing the tax rate. They says that Nigerians already have a lot of problems and that government should not add to it by increasing the tax rate.
Chief Tinubu said that increasing the VAT rate would reduce the purchasing power of the people and he said that the government should widen the tax net (that is, get more people to pay tax), instead of increasing the VAT rate.
2) During the last silly season, Obidients doctored the video of this event and made it seem like Bola Tinubu said something else. They made it seem as if he said that government should increase the VAT rate in order to reduce the purchasing power of the people. I think I mentioned it here on this thread back then.
3) This trick of the Obidients has now caught Professor Farook Kperogi. He has shared the doctored version of the speech and I suspect that he will issue an apology soon. This is not the first time that he has been deceived by Obidients and it won't be the first time that he has apologised for his errors.
There's something else about this issue and that thing will be in my next post.
Ishilove: Ummm, during his campaign, your president did say he will reduce the purchasing power of the people and tax everything taxable. He is indeed fulfilling his campaign promises. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Cosbyrich: Then FG should quickly refute the allegation that it will start being collected in 2026. Govt spokespersons are not doing enough and their social media people are not also doing enough educating the masses. This allegation is all over the place. They should try to quell it.
Watch the video.
naptu2: President Obasanjo included the tax in the appropriation (budget) bill. One of the complaints back then was that he wanted to start implementing it before the bill had been passed.
The tax was later included in the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) Act of 2007.
Mr Taiwo Oyedele is the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms.
Is Governor Sanwo-Olu in the chain of command? Does he have any military position?
He has already said what he knows about that day (that people began calling him to find out what was happening, so he too began calling people in the chain of command) and people in the chain of command have corroborated what he said.
