The person that defected from the APC to the ADC is Senator Abubakar Sadiq Yar'Adua. He is a former member of the National Assembly. He was a governorship aspirant in 2015 and 2023, but he lost on both occasions. He is not a sibling of Major General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua, President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua or Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar'Adua.
Many newspapers and social media outlets have been confused and they have mistaken him for Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar'Adua.
Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar'Adua is the younger brother of former Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters (military vice president) Major General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua and former President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.
He is the son of the former Minister of Lagos Affairs (in the First Republic), Mallam Musa Yar'Adua. He is a former lieutenant colonel in the Nigerian Army.

I Remain a Committed Member of the APC
I wish to categorically reaffirm my unwavering commitment and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). I urge the press to disregard any speculative headlines suggesting my defection from the party.
It's essential to clarify that not all individuals sharing the Yar'Adua surname imply a political association with me.
I believe certain media outlets are engaging in mischief by making such insinuations that I have defected from the APC.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and the Northern Senators Forum, I remain committed to working closely with the Senate leadership to push legislative reforms that complement the activities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR @officialABAT .
We have witnessed concerted efforts by the President in the past two years to increase allocations to States and Local Governments, funding in critical infrastructure, such as agriculture and roads, as well as mass recruitment in security agencies to beef up security of lives and properties. As political leaders, I believe we must join hands with Mr President to make this administration succeed and ensure the common man feels the impact of the reforms of the APC-led Federal Government.
I remain committed to the APC and will work with leaders across the board to ensure the unity, progress, and prosperity of all Nigerians.

Meanwhile, Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre, visited the River Bank School in Lagos. She played football with the kids and it is hoped that the visit would inspire the kids to achieve greatness. She was accompanied by her father.
