PoliticsRe: Lagos To Build Massive 4,000 Megawatts Plants To End Power Cuts - Reuters by naptu2: 7:51am On Nov 08, 2024
nairalanda1:
Part of the problem with the power project back then was that it involved a certain company called Enron. Which collapsed eventually.

Nothing tinubu or Obasanjo could do about that.
That wasn't a problem. Enron sold its shares to AES which continued the project. This was before Enron collapsed completley.

(That's why the project was called AES Barge, because it was being run by AES (and Tunde Folawiyo Power) and the plant was on a barge on the Lagos Lagoon, near Egbin Power Plant).

However, Edo Queens are suffering the same problems that all Nigerian clubs suffer. Nigerian clubs perform well and win tournaments one season and their star players go abroad before the next tournament.

They usually lose very good players and it sometimes disorganises the team.

Suliat Abideen has moved to Turkey.

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Government Grant License To Investors To Generate & Distribute Electricity by naptu2: 6:58am On Nov 08, 2024
Kai! Simple common sense has vanished!

The government did not say that it is building a power plant! It said that it has granted licenses to companies to generate and distribute electricity and to make meters.

It's not up to the government to announce the sources of energy. That's up to the companies to announce!

Mental illness is a very bad thing and I sympathise with anyone suffering from it.

There are people that are hallucinating, they see things that are not really there. There's been an increase in such hallucinations in recent times.

I feel sorry for people that are suffering from these illnesses and I hope that they can get the treatment that they urgently need.

INEC Nigeria @inecnigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Observation Mission, comprising National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), Mr Sam Olumekun mni, Secretary to the Commission, Mrs Rose Oriaran-Anthony and Deputy Director, Mr Nwankwo Okezie, was in the United States to observe the just concluded Presidential Election.

It is in the Commission’s tradition to observe national elections in other countries, just as it invites and accredits international and local observers for Nigeria’s general elections.

The INEC team visited polling stations and met with election officials.

Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited should respond to the allegations.
They've already responded.

naptu2:
grin Don't you just love competition?

Dangote vs Pinnacle.

Dangote's allegation

“At the same time, an international trading company has recently hired a depot facility next to the Dangote Refinery, with the objective of using it to blend substandard products that will be dumped into the market to compete with Dangote Refinery’s higher quality production.

Pinnacle's response.

“On November 3, 2024, the Dangote Organization issued a Press Release. In the Release, Dangote alleged that “…an international trading company has recently hired a depot facility next to the Dangote Refinery, to use it to blend substandard products that will be dumped into the market to compete with Dangote Refinery’s higher quality products.”

“Pinnacle Oil & Gas has the only depot facility next to the Dangote Refinery. Without equivocation, we state that Pinnacle Oil & Gas would never engage or attempt to import or distribute any off-spec or substandard product into the Nigerian market. Our company has a reputation for integrity and regulatory compliance which is extremely important to us.”
