Note: I have been watching Silverbird pageants since 1986 and a contestant's actual state of origin does not matter at all. Contestants are assigned to states and a person from Rivers State can represent Kano State, etc.
(This was the subject of many jokes in the 1980s).
Shalaye no need. What most visitors on the front page of this popular website would see and respond to IS NOT the word 'qualifiers'.
You should take a look at the comments beneath your original post on this thread.
No be everything be quarrel. (Not everything should be taken as an attack on your otherwise good self).
Hahahahahaha
You've shown your hand. I simply said go back and look at the first sentence on the thread and look at all you've written! You clearly came here for a fight and I have none to give you.
This is the WAFU B qualifier for the CAF Women Champions League.
It is like winning a match against South Africa or Lesotho in an African World Cup qualifier match and headlining "Nigeria beats South Africa or Lesotho in FIFA World Cup" when Nigeria may not make the World Cup finals if they do not top the group.
Edo Queens need to win the competition in Bouake before qualifying for the main CAF Women Champions League...
Go back and read the headline on the first post (it is the first sentence on this thread).

The first half ended 0-0, with both teams failing to convert the chances they created.
Edo Queens, however, took control of the game after the break through two quick goals from Esther Moses and Emem Essien.
Captain Suliat Abideeen added the third goal for the Benin City club.
Moses Adukwu’s side thrashed Niger’s AS Garde Nationale 5-0 in their first game.
They have now scored eight goals without conceding in the competition.
Edo Queens will face Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle in their last group game on Saturday.
femi4: Stv still dey? Is the show not Miss Nigeria/Most beautiful girl in Nigeria?, when did it turn to Miss universe Nigeria
Silverbird has run a lot of competitions in Nigeria. They originally wanted to create a Miss Universe Nigeria, but they changed the name to Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria before the pageant started. The first Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria took place in 1986 and Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu was the winner.
Silverbird also ran the Miss Intercontinental pageant from 1987 till 1991. It was an international pageant and beauty queens came from all over the world to Lagos to take part in the pageant. Bianca Onoh was the only Nigerian that won it.
They've also held international fashion shows in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Last year Silverbird brought back the Miss Universe Nigeria as a separate pageant.
Hello everyone, my name is Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina and I cannot do this video without expressing my gratitude to the incredible people who have shown me so much love and so much support.
Now, I have received an invitation from the Silverbird Group who are the organisers of the Miss Universe Nigeria Beauty Pageant and I say this with great excitement because I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Beauty Pageant.
Now, I understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with this title and I am so excited to embark on this journey and I just want to say thank you so much for this opportunity and I am looking forward to participating in Africa's most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Universe Nigeria.

We Are Taking Actions On Simon Ekpa’s Case, Finnish Govt Confirms
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Elina Valtonen, said the case of Ekpa’s whose activities was reported to the Finnish government by the Nigerian government, is now before Finnish courts.
By Gloria Ume-Ezeoke Updated August 14, 2024
The Finnish Government has disclosed that it is taking action in the case of pro-Biafran agitator, Simon Ekpa, over his secession activities with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South-East of Nigeria.
Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, made the disclosure in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, during a press conference she addressed alongside her Nordic counterparts on Tuesday.
According to her, the case of Ekpa whose activities were reported to the Finnish government by the Nigerian government, is now before Finnish courts.
Self-proclaimed Biafra Prime Minister Ekpa has been a strong proponent of sit-at-home directives in the South Eastern states despite the mainstream leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, suspending the exercise.
In February 2023 days before the presidential and national assembly elections, Ekpa was arrested in Finland where he resides after threatening that the elections would not be held in the South-East.
Ekpa was arrested by the police in his residence in the Lahti area of the country, a Finnish paper Helsingin Sanomat had reported.
The separatist repeatedly declared that there would be no elections in the Southeast region of the country and insisted on the observance of a sit-at-home every Monday in the area to protest the detention of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
IPOB, however, distanced itself from the Finland-based Ekpa who was reportedly billed for an interview before his arrest.
He was later released and has since been very active on social media where he posts his pro-Biafran messages.
Valtonen was part of a delegation of Nordic Ministers including Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Norway, as well as Denmark who visited Nigeria to deepen trade ties between the countries.
The ministers noted that countering violent extremists in West Africa and achieving sustainable development goals is among the areas of special focus.
The Nordic ministers who are looking to crystallize relations on the African continent continue their two-day trip in Ghana.
