pcjuvy: In my entire career, it's only Nigerian bosses that would make it seem okay for you to work on weekends. All foreign bosses respect weekends and after work hours. In my experience, its only Nigerian bosses and HR that would try to price your wages down like slave drivers. Foreign HR and Bosses are more concerned with paying you a fair wage to ensure you are well motivated
In my experience, foreign employers are less concerned with the appearance of work and more concerned with the content of work, so they allow flexibility in work hours and locations. Nigerian employers stick with the traditional 8-5, and demand physical presence. In my experience, foreign bosses aren't concerned about titles and ranks and try to create structures that are flat where everyone can collaborate with anyone. Nigerian bosses are very hierarchical and you're most talk to your boss, who talks to his boss and he to his boss.
In my experience, foreign employers encourage open dialogs. Every decision can be questioned, challenged and reevaluated. Nigerian employers are military styled. Questioning an instruction is considered insubordination and queries are issued like meal tickets. In my experience, foreign employers try to ensure profit sharing affects all employees. Everyone rises together or falls together. Nigerian employers like to keep the juice at the very top and it won't trickle down. Even your annual bonus is questionable.
I promised myself never to work with non-multinationals again. We are incredibly close minded and shallow in our work styles.I sometimes think our fellow country men are our own worst enemy in the workplace. You are damn right. I love your write up. Can I post this on a page? |

airsaylongcon: There's a few. I get banned whenever I mention softwares here so I'm wary of mentioning any. But a good Google search with search term "Open Source Hotel Management" should point you in the right direction times Thank you so much sir. I tried using that google search but most times what they offer are trial versions for some times and thereafter you have to go premium which is on the high side |

airsaylongcon: Open-source software (OSS) is computer software with its source code made available with a license in which the copyright holder provides the rights to study, change, and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose. (Wikipedia)
Open source describes a broad general type of software license that makes source code available to the general public with relaxed or non-existent copyright restrictions.
The most popular Open source software in use today is the Linux operating system. It serves as the basis for the even more popular Android operating system.
Use of Linux in Nigeria is very low. One major factor is the huge relatively huge cost to download the various distributions of Linux with file sizes ranging from 400mb to as huge as 7.2GB (Centos)
To facilitate the uptake (hopefully) of Linux and aid developers who need to work in Linux but are put off by the huge file sizes, I will be offering the most recent Linux distros (at the time of request) to whoever requires them. However as this might result in large numbers of requests that will pile up and become expensive, interested parties will have to offset the Logistics cost of media purchase and shipping costs to your destination. I'm still thinking of the most cost effective means of shipping (most likely post office with 3-5 business days required for delivery)
Currently I have the most up recent versions for the following Distros
Kali (THE LEADING PENETRATION Testing tool on earth) Ubuntu Mint ElemntaryOS Debian Fedora
I am also an avid aviation fan. The leading open source flight simulator is Flightgear sim. I have got the most recent installable file (for Windows) as well as the entire HD Map of the world and as well as all the aircrafts in the programs library (over 128GB of data).
Anyone interested should drop a comment and I am open to attend to you.
You can also make requests for any large open source software you require and I will see if it is feasible to g set to you. I am interested in seeing what open source software are widely used in Nigeria NICE ONE SIR. DO YOU HAVE ANY OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE FOR HOTELS |

Please house who knows where I can get a luminous inverter technician or repairer. The luminous inverter is already in Lagos. The issue with the inverter is that it reads voltage at the input and it doesn't change over automatically.
PLEASE I NEED SOMEONE THAT HANDLES REPAIRS |

pranil: is the inverter being used as a generator with changeover switch on output then it looks right but right way is to connect input to nepa also to allow battery charging
Multimeter can give false reading - use test lamp ( should not light up in phase -N or N-E) Thanks pranil. I do appreciate. I notice also that without the input wire in the inverter. if you read the input of the inverter it reads on the multimeter. I was thinking aloud could that be the reason the inverter fails to automatically switch to inverter mode when there is a cut in power from the mains? |

Pix of inverter
Is this connection suppose to be?
Using a meter to test. Voltage can be read at both the input and the output, is that right?

Hello house,
Please i need a clarification on this and what could be wrong. THERE IS A LUMINOUS 5KVA/96V INVERTER on ground the challenge is that
(1) it gives light (voltage) both at the output and also at the input. Is that supposed to be?
(2) Before now this particular inverter picks up automatically when public supply is cut off, but now you have to manually go over to the change over switch and turn it to inverter mode.
I want to ask is this connection right. There is a by pass mode at the back of the inverter and it is tilted to the ON position is that suppose to be?
Specifically what is the function of the bypass in luminous Inverters?
N. B This inverter is connected to Solar panels

I just need answers thanks

Car Talk › Re: Nigerian Fuel by nasonaso: 6:47pm On Oct 03, 2017 |
sooperrescue: Nigeria is using unleaded Regular 87 currently. In 2005, leaded fuel was phased out and for those who can remember, we used to have funnels in our cars to use whenever we want to buy fuel. That was when we were using leaded fuel. Now the effect of unleaded regular on vehicles that requires Premium unleaded is the reason why cars dont last in Nigeria. Low octane fuel on cars that requires premium fuel is a grave danger that we face here. The PPPRA is not willing to change that policy even though they know that it is damaging the vehicles of majority of Nigerians. Dangote's refinery is the only light in the tunnel as he promised to produce high grade fuels. Cars that are at risk with our fuel are: Acura, Nissan, VW, BMW, ( The M series requires a higher number than 91) Range Rovers, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Volvo, Mitsubishi and a lot more. Thank you so much for your explanation. I do appreciate it sir |
