Foreign AffairsRe: Let's Have Your Questions Here: Ask A Cameroonian? by Nayah(f):
CAMEROONPRIDE: CAMEROON IS DIVIDE IN 10 regions so :

1) FAR NORTH, NORTH & ADAMAWA: THEY TALK FUFULDE

2)CENTER & SOUTH: EWONDO

3) WEST& LITTORAL : Bamileke & Duala9littoral is the hometow of duala people however they are outnumbered by others ethnicity especially bamileke and they are now a minority in their own land) note that Douala is the greatest city of Cameroon and Bamileke are traders etc with the port there it was inevitable .....by the way Douala love to go in french(with their i can die without going to mbeng/panam(france)
4) the others regions which are south west north west and east..are constitued of minority which speak their languages but unfortunately are not very popular ..so they will speak Ewondo which is most of the time the lingua franca
Main languages in Cameroon are ( even though we got more than 250 language) :

Hausa, Fufuldé,Bamiléké, Bassa'a, Duala and Ewondo your answer is not complete brother by the way Cameroon is not just Yaounde indeed, Buea, Limbe, Kribi, Bamenda etc...are super nice towns too .Originally Douala is the Bassa'a hometown then Duala came to settle because Bassa'a people were welcoming, in Center this is not just Ewondo even though they're numerous, Eton people and Bassa'a as well are there (Eseka, Otélé,Makak, Matomb, Botmakak, Boumyébel...) the train from YAOUNDE TO DOUALA are full of Bassa'a because their villages are located from there between this two towns even in the South together with Bulu and Batanga or Ntumu. Ewondo are not originally for the South or you want to associate BETI-FANG?
Plus Adamaoua doesn't speak Fufuldé don't mistaken brother, it's because they're from the North we generalize but they're many ethnic groups out there
