mmsen: An I am telling you what I know. The non-Nigerians that I know are aware of Davido. They know his music past me.
They also know Burna Boy.
Both artists are huge in their own right. You do not know anything. You will be shocked how many Nigerian artists that non Nigerians know and this popularity can be attributed to the number of nigerians playing their local music in clubs abroad. However, when it comes to international act Burna songs play regularly on foreign radios just like Edsheran's. I have never even heard Davido or Wizkid songs on the radio. |

mmsen: Huh? Both of them are well known.
Davido is very well known outside of Nigeria. He was doing radio interviews with national media in the States before anyone knew who Burna Boy was. He had songs with Meek Mill when nobody knew who Burna Boy was. Do you live abroad? I am telling you what I know. Burna is the real deal. The two others are locals. |

Angelfrost: How do you mean?!!
Davido and Wizkid were already recognised internationally before Burna scaled over Naija.
Let's quit glorifying tales that make no sense. Don't be deceived. When i travel to western countries, I hear Burna on radio not wizkid or Davido. Go to YouTube and check live performances of Burna, you will understand better. David and Wizkid are local champions. |

I don't think Davido is in the league of Burna. The latter is a very big name outside Nigeria. |

Calitoscassius: Yes, economy, i don't need business or first class. 23kg×2 luggages, hand luggage 8kg.
British Air Depart Heathrow to Abuja, Arrive Abuja, i board local (Aero contractor) to Enugu
Return Lagos to Heathrow.
You can also return through Abuja instead of Lagos The tickets are cheaper if your return date is far.
My returns are ussually after 5 weeks. So with your 8million naira budget I can stay for 3 months in naijeeria. and still have change left. If you doubt it, let me know when you are travelling, i MIGHT meet you in naija teach you how to spend and save in najeeria, 4 million will do for you and I for 1 month expensis.
Or
Luftansa 23kg×2, 8kg hand luggage. Depart Heathrow, stop over in Germany, final destination Porthacourt next day.
Return same route.
Buy the ticket early before date of travel, it is cheaper, atleast 6 months or 3 months before. some travellers for December 2025 have already bought their tickets this January.. we have been doing this for 25 years now. I see you travelled from UK. I bet you will ever find that kind of deal £760 anymore that will allow you 2 x 23kg luggage. You can check even for December. Also, you should also realise that spending isn't the same for everyone. Even the 8 million will be strictly on low budget. All the same, thanks for your analysis. I understand the message. |

Calitoscassius: Your so called expensis are total lies! Absolute lies! I travel to Naigeerian every year, hotel and food cost me 1,2 million maximum and that's for 6 weeks stay. I have my own house and 2 vehicles.
So i only spends on petrol, food, women and drinks. My mother and my step sisters does the cooking in my house. I give them money they go shopping for food, sometimes i drive to shoprite and purchase cartons of beer, wine and whiskey myself.
So your 5.75 million naira spend is a total bullcrap!
I will be down my house again this christmas in Anambra. I guarantee you i will not spend more than 1 million naira for food, petrol, women and drinks.
Flight ticket is £760 return, so your ticket is way expensive, where did you travel from? The moon?
I don't give police money, why should i give police check point money? I am not a criminal, i stop when they tell me to stop, I say hi officer! They say wind down your door windor, i do what they say i don't argue or try to speak big grammar to them to intimidate them, make them look small, or disrespect them, and they say, no wahala move on. Sometimes though i "dash" them few notes not less than 500 naira. I even picked up one police woman forked her on atleast 3 occassions, she was very nice still contacts me on watsaap. At the check points i usually say to them thank you officers for your good work you do keeping us safe, they reply back, you are wellcome "yellow" or sometime they call me "onye ocha" some of them are good.
I don't give money at the airport they already knows me for that, i even managed to invite one of the custom officer woman to my house and forked her. With a bottle of red wine and a full carcase of fried chicken. She say she don't want money, they pay her very well at Lagos international airport £760 return? Which airline be that? Besides, OP is not in UK. You claim you have 2 cars and your house but that is not same for OP because he stayed in the hotel. I am also planning to go to Naija this December and my budget is around 8 million to cover flight, hotel, food and other expenses. |

If u use your sense and mix the non brands with the brands and sensible grocery shopping at Morrisons, there will be so much to carry home
so again, ndidi is right, esp based on my personal experience Imagine, I even tut with the inflation that people are talking about, 60 quid won't be able to do anything. |

ConDawah: It's not a good pay and I'd rather stay in Portugal or in Nigeria and earn half that amount. After tax and insurance deductions, you'll be left with roughly 30k annually. Now, factor in just the cost of accommodations alone from the take home pay. I lived in the UK for a short while and I'll never live there again unless I earn upwards 60k annually. The question is how much are you earning in Nigeria? |

MT: Nigerians and exaggeration.
You will need taxi for 43 pounds food items. You guys can lie ehen.
Soft chicken - 3.99 pounds
Hard chicken - 4.99 pounds
Egg is £2.15 for 15
Inflation has set in in the UK on food items , even the whites are bitterly complaining.
So, which taxi will you need after spending 43 pounds on food items?
At most, with your 43 pounds, you can buy pepper full bag 🤣🤣.
Nigerians and exaggeration. Pathetic!! There is no exaggeration here. You have listed the price of these stuffs and I can imagine how you won't have a full bag if you b spent all the 43 pounds on these items. If you can carry that to your home depending on your distance, it is then your problem. I never said full taxi but full bag. When i was in UK as a student, iI spent less that 50 pound weekly on provisions in Aldi and the bag was always heavy that I cant walk with it for 10mins. Each time I take a taxi home which was also less than 4 pound. |

Pascal9: what can it afford in UK, forget it, it's a slave system, how long can you work to buy a house in UK as a 21 pound per hr worker, if you are smart Nigeria is better. You do not need to buy a house in UK. It all depends on your plan. You boasted about spending 100k on food which is like 43 pound. If you take 43 pound to supermarket in the UK to buy provisions, you will need to get a taxi home if you don't drive because ur bags will be heavy. Food is one of the cheapest things in UK. How much is chicken milk and egg? |
