Now this is true development. Akpabio would make a fine leader for Nigeria. |
APC cannot win in Igboland. Igbos in Anambra must support Soludo that is the task that must be done. |
I am glad no Igbo names were mentioned. Igbos would never hear the end of it. |
gtrust: Men, these AkwaIbomites are really doing something. And they are doing it quietly. |
Who will be the APGA candidates for Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia and Imo state when it is their turn? |
Igbo politics seems to be in disarray. ![]() |
ShymX: This is pure nonsense. What do you know about me? No Nigerian gang member in Houston yet naija guys are in scarface video repping their block. No naija gang members in Houston yet there are tons of naija guys who have been arrested for gun charges, to assault, and drug offences in the same city. No naija gang members in Houston yet Lil O (a Nigerian) is an OG on the streets of Houston.Diasporan is right. You don't know anything about the United States. How are you going to tell us about our lifestyle? And you British Nigerians think you know about that gangsta lifestyle but you really don't. There is a reason why Nigerian Americans do not get involved in gangs, because the gangs in the US do not play with knives. They play with glocks. Why would any Nigerian American want to get involved in that? |
Ikengawo: I'm starting to see the problem with Igbo Unity.Enugu is awesome! And all Igbos are welcomed to that city. That is why it is considered a melting pot. Owerri is sweet as well. Two of my favorite cities in Igboland and I am not from either city. |
ShymX: Most Nigerians in America live in the ghettos - FACT!You are a dammmn liar. You better listen to tpia because she is right. Many Nigerian Americans do not see themselves as African Americans. That is why many try to distance themselves from them and do not participate in such a lifestyle. And Nigerian Americans do not live in the ghetto. As soon as Nigerians come to the US, they may live in a poor area, but as soon as they get enough money, they move into the suburbs. Look at Wale and his family. He spent the first 10 years of his life in a poor area in DC. But as soon as his parents had the money, they moved to the suburbs in one of the wealthiest counties in Maryland. Nigerian Americans do not stay in poor areas for long like British Nigerians. Nigerian Americans cannot even rely on welfare like British Nigerians, because most states welfare programs are for benefit of their citizens. A recent immigrant from Nigerian cannot go on welfare, or they would not be let into the United States. And the fact that most Nigerian immigrants come to the US as students makes a difference as well. Nigerian Americans are very different from British Nigerians. |
Peckham and Brixton come to mind.
mystikal: and Hackney ![]() End of that discussion. |
ShymX: It seems you're allergic to telling the truth. Now I know you know nothing about Nigerian Americans. How many Nigerians live in the inner cities in America? We are not found in the ghettos like you British Nigerians are found in London. Nigerian Americans are mostly found in the suburbs and of Houston, DC, Baltimore and Chicago. These suburbs do not have gang problems. But we heard how British Nigerians are turning to gangs. Didn't last year a few British Nigerians got sent to prison for a stabbing? |
This discussion has turned from Igbo vs. Yoruba to Nigerian Americans vs. British Nigerians. We love to divide ourselves. ![]() |
ShymX: Where did I call you a tribalist? There is nothing bad in standing up for your tribe and I admire people who do that as long as they're not trying to undermine other tribes. Standing up for your tribe is actually commendable because the "Nigerian" identity as it's, is a superficial and bogus one. However, what I abhor is people who only go around making it look as if their tribe is perfect and won't accept that are certain things about their tribe's consciousness/temperament that are appalling. Also, I can't stand the blame game and innate whiners, who cry foul about everything. No tribe in Nigeria is perfect. No one in this world is perfect. That is why I said, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. And there are not many Nigerians in American prisons! Nigerians in the UK are a problem, not the ones in the U.S. Why are Nigerians in the UK joining gangs? I never heard of a Nigerian in the US joining a gang. |
As a Bini woman, I am deeply hurt and horrified when I hear stories about my people. Most of these young ladies ( as young as 13) where pushed in by thier own mothers, aunties and close relatives. Even some married women are shipped out by thier husbands. Total shame! What happened to my beloved culturally preserved Bini girl? What happened to honest work and honest pay? What happened to getting education? What happened to getting married? What happened to rearing children? Bini women have lost their ways because of dollars. We have lost our ways to GREED.
I hear you, but it is not just Bini people Most Nigerians have lost their way because of greed. |
ShymX: BwahahahaahaWe can go pound for pound if you like little Brit boy. I am not a tribalist, but do insult the Igbo. We all have dirt. |
ShymX: So freaking what? Aren't there tons of murderers from your ethnic group doing 25-life all over UK prisons and all the wife-killers all over America? There are not even many Nigerians in prison in the US. Unless you add those 20 + Yoruba scammers from New Jersey. But I hear UK prisons are filled with Nigerians and since most Nigerians in the UK are Yoruba, I would would think they are primarily Yoruba. Like I said, stop throwing stones if you live in a glass house. |
Wasn't Adebolajo and his accomplice of Yoruba extraction? The WHOLE world was shocked to see such barbarity happen on the streets of London because of those terrorist. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Scamming and peddling drugs are bad enough, but terrorism is truly reprehensible. And Yoruba names have been in the news internationally more than even the Hausa people. |
The Niger-Deltan anti-igbo freedom fighters are also conspicuously silent - I'm thinking that they don't mind being lumped with Igbos on select occasions. Not surprisingly, any future attempts of Igbos to unite with their SS brothers will still be shut down with accusations of dominance and "attache" mentality.
I wonder as well. |
telexfree1: Agreed.Without a steady stream of electricity, it will be hard for any company to mass produce a product. From what I have seen from Innoson, it is a small start, but that is better than nothing. Most companies have a humble beginning. |
