PapaBrowne: Go and read the Kano state gov's threat to Stella oduah today.Good post. It is the zero sum mentality that most Nigerians have. There must be one winner and one loser; for every gain there is a loss. That is the mindset of some regions in Nigeria. |
Keep on progressing my Igbo brothers and sisters. Enugu must be made great in order to represent the collective aspirations of the Ndigbo. |
There seems to be "Fresh Air" in the South-East. Past administrations have neglected the region, but Jonathan seems focused on helping the South-East. Can anyone name any development that was done in the South-East prior to Jonathan and after the civil war? |
Let the different state governments survive on their own without oil revenue. Then we shall see, which states are more dependent on oil than the others. Oil has made some states lazy. Let them generate their own revenue. |
Not Egypt! But yes to Ethiopia. ![]() |
That is why Emenike is better. |
Mikel Obi is selfless. He is truly a champion. |
Emenike! |
Aba has more industries than Onitsha. Onitsha has a bigger market, but the craftsmen in Aba are some of the best in Africa. |
You see how this woman works. Femi Fani-Kayode was busy chasing Igbo women instead of doing his job as Aviation Minister. That man should be in prison. |
I think it is best if Igbo politicians and leaders keep quiet. Let the South-South see how the the North treat them and that the Igbos have always been their friends. |
Jonathan is handling the situation well. He already knows that he has the support of SE politicians and there is no need for them to say anything. All they need to do is strategize. |
The Coal City is getting the attention that it deserves. |
drauj: u r ryt my brother. Hausa people understand d leverage they have - votes n others investments. u guys r busy posting online n sharing false in formations. As long as Nigeria is as it is, no president can win elections without the north. up Arewa.Didn't Jonathan win without the North in the last election? ![]() |
https://blogs.cfr.org/campbell/files/2011/04/bbcmapPxlr.jpg What region are most of these senators from? This map really shows how divided Nigeria is and with these latest political moves, it is easy to understand the genesis. |
Obiagelli: Are saying no body called obj out, why is obj hated in the SW, why was he almost impeached, gej haven't faced half the pressure obj had to deal with.If you think the Odi incident is the same type of pressure that Jonathan is facing with this radical islamist insurgency, then you need your head thoroughly examined. Obasanjo also had the support of the North, so he did not even need the South West. That is one of the main reasons why he became president. |
An impeachment of a president from the Niger Delta will not bode well for Nigeria. That region is the goose that laid the golden egg. The fact that many of these political moves in the Nigerian political landscape seem to have a lot of tribal undertones to it. Only a blind man will say that tribe and religion is not playing a role. |
Maybe someone from a smaller tribe should be appointed instead of someone that is Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa. |
Now the people from Kogi can stop bothering Anambra state. |
TouchDown: Perhaps male members of the South-eastern elite have a lot to learn from the females.Wasn't Barth Nnaji a capable minister before he resigned? |
cKaiser: An Ibo Poster said you already have those things So what more do you wantThere is already a Second Niger Bridge? Of course there will be some Igbo traders who will remain in Lagos as well as those who have been in Lagos for generations. Please take good care of them. ![]() |
cKaiser: Now that you have an international airport, So whats the reason for still staying back in Lagos. The River Niger dredging for Onitsha port, the Ibaka seaport and a Second Niger Bridge and you will have a deal. ![]() |
Ngige has a better chance of winning in this election than both Obiano and Uba. APC may indeed win in Igboland. |
This is thanks to GEJ and his capable Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah. |
He should have kept his mouth shut and do his job quietly like Stella Oduah is doing. Let a woman be in charge of this ministry. |
More grease to Stella Oduah's elbow. She is a much better aviation minister than Femi Fani-Kayode ever was. |
Peter Obi planned this from the beginning. Aren't both of them co-owners of Fidelity Bank? |
peckhamboi: They were singing and dancing because a Yoruba laid down his precious life for an Ibo man and they still have the effrontery to insult the Yorubas. Not all Igbos insult Yorubas, just like not all Yorubas insult Igbos. Enough with the blame game. |
