PapaBrowne: Go and read the Kano state gov's threat to Stella oduah today.

Read through the posts of many nairalanders from a particular section of the country concerning Enugu international airport.

Go and read an article on how internationalization of Enugu airport would kill the aviation industry written by a purported aviation expert from a certain part of the country.

Ask yourself why the attacks on Stella even before the BMW scandal was extremely high and increased immensely after Ethiopian airlines touched ground in Enugu.

Ask yourself why the BMW scandal of is so loud despite the minute figure in comparison to say the pension fund scandal or even the fuel subsidy scandal that ran into trillions or sanusi's university donations running in billions that vanished. Funnily Amaechi bought a jet worth $50m. Fashola bought bullet proof vehicles worth 600 million naira. Noboby complains in all these crazy cases. Infact, if this happened b4 Enugu airport, nobody would have complained.

Lets not deceive ourselves. I previously used to assume South eastern complaints about hatred from the west was exaggerated. But after this incident, I have concluded that there is a real war against south east and south south progress by the previous blocs that held the ante of power and have now lost it to the previously marginalized who ae now lords of the manor.

And by the way, I'm not Igbo. I am from edo state.
Good post.

It is the zero sum mentality that most Nigerians have.

There must be one winner and one loser; for every gain there is a loss. That is the mindset of some regions in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nebeuwa(m): 5:26pm On Oct 27, 2013
Keep on progressing my Igbo brothers and sisters. Enugu must be made great in order to represent the collective aspirations of the Ndigbo.
PoliticsRe: FRESH AIR In The South-East!!! by Nebeuwa(m): 2:08pm On Sep 30, 2013
There seems to be "Fresh Air" in the South-East. Past administrations have neglected the region, but Jonathan seems focused on helping the South-East.

Can anyone name any development that was done in the South-East prior to Jonathan and after the civil war?
PoliticsRe: Revenue Shortfall: Fresh Crises Brews Between Jonathan And Govs by Nebeuwa(m): 2:05pm On Sep 30, 2013
Let the different state governments survive on their own without oil revenue. Then we shall see, which states are more dependent on oil than the others.

Oil has made some states lazy. Let them generate their own revenue.

Mikel Obi is selfless. He is truly a champion.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nebeuwa(m): 12:19am On Sep 07, 2013
Aba has more industries than Onitsha. Onitsha has a bigger market, but the craftsmen in Aba are some of the best in Africa.
PoliticsRe: 13 Proposed Cargo Terminals To Be Ready December- Oduah by Nebeuwa(m): 12:10am On Sep 07, 2013
You see how this woman works. Femi Fani-Kayode was busy chasing Igbo women instead of doing his job as Aviation Minister. That man should be in prison.
PoliticsRe: Why Are SE Politicians Silent While Northerners Arm-twist Jonathan? by Nebeuwa(m): 12:09am On Sep 07, 2013
I think it is best if Igbo politicians and leaders keep quiet. Let the South-South see how the the North treat them and that the Igbos have always been their friends.
PoliticsRe: Why Are SE Politicians Silent While Northerners Arm-twist Jonathan? by Nebeuwa(m): 11:23pm On Sep 06, 2013
Jonathan is handling the situation well. He already knows that he has the support of SE politicians and there is no need for them to say anything. All they need to do is strategize.

What region are most of these senators from? This map really shows how divided Nigeria is and with these latest political moves, it is easy to understand the genesis.
PoliticsRe: Gej Dancing To Impeachment by Nebeuwa(m): 1:46pm On Sep 03, 2013
Obiagelli: Are saying no body called obj out, why is obj hated in the SW, why was he almost impeached, gej haven't faced half the pressure obj had to deal with.
If you think the Odi incident is the same type of pressure that Jonathan is facing with this radical islamist insurgency, then you need your head thoroughly examined. Obasanjo also had the support of the North, so he did not even need the South West. That is one of the main reasons why he became president.
PoliticsRe: Gej Dancing To Impeachment by Nebeuwa(m): 1:43pm On Sep 03, 2013
An impeachment of a president from the Niger Delta will not bode well for Nigeria. That region is the goose that laid the golden egg. The fact that many of these political moves in the Nigerian political landscape seem to have a lot of tribal undertones to it. Only a blind man will say that tribe and religion is not playing a role.
PoliticsRe: Festus Odimegwu Suspended By The Federal Government by Nebeuwa(m): 4:15pm On Aug 27, 2013
Maybe someone from a smaller tribe should be appointed instead of someone that is Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa.
PoliticsRe: Crude Oil Gushes-Out Of Taps In Kogi Village by Nebeuwa(m): 4:10pm On Aug 27, 2013
Now the people from Kogi can stop bothering Anambra state.

TouchDown: Perhaps male members of the South-eastern elite have a lot to learn from the females.

No?
Wasn't Barth Nnaji a capable minister before he resigned?
TravelRe: Ethiopian Airline Making Record Sales From Enugu International Airport by Nebeuwa(m): 3:42pm On Aug 27, 2013
cKaiser: An Ibo Poster said you already have those things So what more do you want
There is already a Second Niger Bridge? shocked When did this happen? Maybe he said that this administration is planning to do this. But we still need the River Niger dredging and the Ibaka seaport. Then you will have a deal.

Of course there will be some Igbo traders who will remain in Lagos as well as those who have been in Lagos for generations. Please take good care of them. cool
TravelRe: Ethiopian Airline Making Record Sales From Enugu International Airport by Nebeuwa(m): 3:35pm On Aug 27, 2013
cKaiser: Now that you have an international airport, So whats the reason for still staying back in Lagos.

Time to return to Alaibo
The River Niger dredging for Onitsha port, the Ibaka seaport and a Second Niger Bridge and you will have a deal. cool
PoliticsRe: Willy Obiano Is APGA Anambra Guber Candidate by Nebeuwa(m): 3:33pm On Aug 27, 2013
Ngige has a better chance of winning in this election than both Obiano and Uba. APC may indeed win in Igboland. shocked
PoliticsRe: Akanu Ibiam International Airport: Flights Are Fully Booked Into October by Nebeuwa(m): 3:29pm On Aug 27, 2013
This is thanks to GEJ and his capable Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah.

PoliticsRe: Festus Odimegwu Suspended By The Federal Government by Nebeuwa(m): 2:45pm On Aug 27, 2013
He should have kept his mouth shut and do his job quietly like Stella Oduah is doing. Let a woman be in charge of this ministry.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Records 11% Airline Passenger Growth — FAAN by Nebeuwa(m): 1:59am On Aug 27, 2013
More grease to Stella Oduah's elbow. She is a much better aviation minister than Femi Fani-Kayode ever was.
PoliticsRe: Willy Obiano Is APGA Anambra Guber Candidate by Nebeuwa(m): 1:57am On Aug 27, 2013
Peter Obi planned this from the beginning. Aren't both of them co-owners of Fidelity Bank?
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Considers Public Holiday For Fajuyi by Nebeuwa(m): 1:24am On Aug 26, 2013
peckhamboi: They were singing and dancing because a Yoruba laid down his precious life for an Ibo man and they still have the effrontery to insult the Yorubas.

What else do these peops want from the Yorubas?
Not all Igbos insult Yorubas, just like not all Yorubas insult Igbos. Enough with the blame game.
