The problem with Nigeria electricity is simple. Most of the customer base does not want to pay the full price for electricity.

All the problems, corruptuion included, even the estimated billing included, arise from the fact that most Nigerians, EVEN with METER ON GROUND...do not want to pay for power.

Meanwhile prices of gas, equipment, machinery is increasing. Also, salaries have to be paid , and salaries of power workers also have to be increased.

I can understand why El Rufai would avoid returning back to the PDP after castigating the party and declaring to the entire world that he will never ever rejoin the party that gave him national prominence.

One would have expected El Rufai to go to either Kwankwasso's NNP or join the LP but instead El Rufai chose the SDP


But for some reason the obidient imbes are seeing El Rufai move to the SDP as beneficial to their cause which to the average bystander can be interpreted as being good to Peter Obi's Presidential bid.

An El Rufai exist is a good thing for any political party as the man represents all that is wrong with today's Nigerian political class.

So why did El Rufai settle for the SDP as an apparent SPV? Because El Rufai has plans to contest the 2027 elections either as the main flag bearer or as a running mate. I will presume El Rufai will be aiming for the party ticket as its flag bearer. As dissatrous as this may be, El Rufai will still get more votes in total than Obi . El Rufai will be appealing to the most radical extremist base of the core north . He won't make any headway any where else but I can assure you his total tally will be more than what Obi will get . If El Rufai settles as a running mate , then he will doing so alongside a substantive presidential candidate from the south . In fairness the most likely individual to be the main contender will be Rotimi Amaechi . Amaechi enjoys a lot of goodwill support from the defunct Buhari cabal but Amaechi himself is an unelectable character even within his own Rivers . But I dare say that am Amaechi and El Rufai ticket will do more harm to Peter Obi within his SE zone as Amaechi will use his usual "I am an Ibo man from Ikwere" to get those ones to consider voting him.

As for the PDP, there's a very high chance that it may end up being factionalized and have one faction (SS and NC) adopting Bola Tinubu as its candidate . The PDP will do very badly in the coming elections if it presents a candidate from the north which from all indications is pointing to that direction with Bala Mohammed most likely to be that candidate .

As for Atiku , he may end up moving to another party all together to still contest


The winner of the 2027 elections wit be down to who wins the NC , SS and SW and from all indications the incumbent President is most likely to do so .
