This is just my suspicion. I noticed that ever since Simon Epka, and four other suspected sponsors of the Unknown Gunmen and Sit-at-home enforcers in the South East, was remanded by the Finnish authorities, few weeks following, the rate of kidnappings in South Eastern Nigeria, especially in Anambra, has surged. This does not look like much of a coincidence to me.

The sit-at-home movement is imposed and spearheaded by criminals. Jobless nonentities in the Nigerian unemployed demographic. Simon Ekpa and his cronies specifically selected for these criminals who they recruited into their ragtag guerrilla organization, and now that he and other likely sponsors have been arrested and currently being detained, the organization is broke, they need supplies and provisions which their detained sponsors can no longer provide, and since they are fugitives of the law, and hence, cannot make money by legal means, their next recourse is to do so by the easiest and fasted way possible, kidnapping. This would allow them to make loads of cash by demanding ransom and selling the organs of the victims to raise funds. They would also not require the use of bullets in this trade since they would only need to capture victims and butcher them with knives or cutlasses.

That said, I think this inkling of mine should be put into consideration. If this should be the case, then it’s safe to say that they are at their most vulnerable, and this would be the perfect time for the Nigerian armed forces to strike. The fact that the kidnappings are more rampant in Anambra state, also hints at the possibility that one of their main camps might be in Anambra state.

In the event that my suspicion is correct, we could also extrapolate that they have limited resources and weaponry; bullets, projectiles, explosives, fuel etc. this could be the golden opportunity for the Anambra state government to carve its name in gold.

The use of drones, night vision goggles, PNVS, and heat vision sensors etc. should be very effective in tracking down these criminals. It would put the Nigerian armed forces at a vantage point, from which they could lure, outmaneuver, beleaguer and take out these terrorists one after the other, camp by camp. If properly exploited, I don’t see why the Nigerian armed forces should not succeed in this endeavor.


We need peace in Nigeria, only in peace can a nation thrive. And even if you support Biafra, if it is achieved by these criminals, trust me you will run back to Nigeria as refugees.
