Which is why you have infrastructure all around you unlike the BUSH of colonial Nigeria, and have clean clothes on and can read and write, and use a smartphone, unlike your illiterate village hunter of bushmeat grandpa under British colonial rule.
SO THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS FOR INDEPENDENCE. Ewu. Malu. Why are your leaders looting 30% and taking it to UK?.. Goat, why are uk leaders not looting their country and bringing it to nigeria Ewu, why are your leaders going to UK for medical care, did they not build hospital in Nigeria, does Nigeria lack medical workers Ewu, why are your leaders sending their kids to UK for studies, did they not build schools in Nigeria or does Niger not have teachers Ewu, why is your country unable to develop technology to explore its resources after 64 years of independence but rather has to depend on the same British companies you accuse of exploring and stealing your resources Ewu why are your leaders using the resources meant to provide water, hospital, road, schools to ordinary Nigerians to buy mansions in UK, open secret bank accounts in cayman lslands, buy rolls royce, Bentley. |
Politics › Re: Kemi UK: I Don't Really Want To Say This About VP Shettima But ... by nedu666: 6:36am On Dec 17, 2024 |
MaiDeribe: Kemi Was Completely Out of Line
Let’s set the record straight: VP Shettima had every right to call Kemi out. His position as a Vice President and holder of the GCON title obligates him to defend Nigeria against baseless attacks, especially from someone who ought to know better.
1. Kemi’s Actions Were Unnecessary and Disrespectful • Kemi exercised her rights, yes, but with rights come responsibility. Criticism of Nigeria is valid when constructive; hers was neither. She chose to disparage the country in a manner that adds nothing to meaningful dialogue. This isn’t “free speech”—it’s self-serving drivel masquerading as activism. • If Kemi had a real grievance, she could have addressed it respectfully or through a forum where her opinions might foster solutions—not global embarrassment.
2. VP Shettima’s Role • VP Shettima didn’t respond as a private citizen throwing a tantrum. He acted as a defender of national dignity. It’s his duty to protect Nigeria’s image on all fronts. Criticizing him for doing what his office demands is misguided. • His response is a reminder that leadership doesn’t mean tolerating every baseless attack in silence. Nationalism isn’t a crime; it’s a virtue, especially when representing a country like Nigeria, often unfairly maligned on global platforms.
3. National Pride Isn’t a Joke • Using an analogy “If someone urinated on your sick mother, would you smile or fight for her dignity?”. Kemi didn’t merely criticize policies—she insulted the essence of her own country while benefiting from the privilege of being associated with it. If that doesn’t anger you, your sense of national pride is questionable. • Patriotism demands that we hold our leaders accountable while also defending our country. Kemi failed on both counts. Instead of raising valid concerns, she chose to demean.
4. Tribal and Feminist Excuses Are Baseless • The anti-feminism claim is an attempt to deflect from the real issue: Kemi’s actions, not her gender, were inappropriate. If Shettima asked her to drop her Yoruba name, she should disassociate herself without urinating on Nigerians willy nilly. Even that still pales in comparison to her public insults to Nigeria. Stop making strawman arguments to distract from her disrespect.
5. What About Other Countries? • If Kemi were from the USA and disparaged it with such venom, a leader like Trump wouldn’t let her breathe without a public takedown. Yet because it’s Shettima—a leader known for his measured approach—you question his response. Hypocrisy much? • Nigeria, like every country, deserves to be defended. Shettima’s critics often conflate patriotism with authoritarianism, which is intellectually dishonest.
6. Kemi’s “Worst Association With Nigeria” • The sheer disappointment in her behavior. People who benefit from Nigeria’s identity, directly or indirectly, have an obligation to protect it—not tear it apart for cheap clout. She represents the worst kind of national betrayal: one driven by ignorance and self-importance.
• Your questions about why Shettima is upset reveal a lack of understanding of leadership responsibilities. He isn’t “pissed off” for personal reasons—he’s defending Nigeria’s image on the world stage. Kemi’s actions warrant criticism, not indulgence. • Instead of whining about Shettima’s response, ask yourself why Kemi felt entitled to insult her homeland while hiding behind foreign privileges. That’s the real issue.
Kemi was wrong—entirely. VP Shettima was right to call her out, any Nigerian with national honors should follow suit. Criticism of a country should build, not destroy. Kemi’s actions achieved nothing but ridicule, and VP Shettima’s response was justified, necessary, and, frankly, overdue.
I hope this answers your questions. An insult to One is an insult to All.
Look at the attachment below, Kemi has been reported by her own staff to being a bully and 3 of her staff quit because of her inappropriateness at her workplace. Shettima has a fulfilling career in the banking sector, as governor and now VP. He is not the one known for bullying and work place toxicity. You sat down to analyse and condemn kemi for disparaging Nigeria but the same you will form deaf and dumb to the situation in Nigeria. Even a paragraph to analyse the situation millions of Nigeria find themselves in, you will not dare write about it. You are the type that will prefer Nigerians should suffer in silence for bad roads, bad health care, falling education standards, inflation, unemployment because it embarrasses the country. Your type will praise and hail Nigeria leaders for going to Europe and North America to enjoy proceeds of good governance but rebuke Nigerians who complain about proceeds of bad governance from the same leaders you praise |

boxypane: Kemi is cooking what she can't eat. Just surprised we have Nigerians supporting her game. It's agreed there's rot in the system, but don't preach us to the world like that or term us same. But Nigerians go online to complain about bad roads, police extortion, bad health care, etc. Why don't they go to govt office and complain instead of coming online to embarrassing the country. It is because they know that complains at govt office will be treated with contempt and covered up but when done online might, just might force govt to act. Even in UK, daily mail has a section for publishing bad roads in UK. |
Politics › Re: Kemi Badenoch Has A History Of Hostility And Being A Bully. by nedu666: 6:19am On Dec 17, 2024 |
MaiDeribe: Kemi Badenoch has repeatedly been exposed as a toxic, hostile workplace bully, with multiple former staff reporting her abusive behavior. It’s no surprise that her bullying tendencies have finally met their match with Nigerians, who will undoubtedly put her in her place and cut her down to size.
In August 2024, HR Newspaper (London newspaper) revealed that three staff members quit their jobs due to Kemi’s relentless bullying and unbearable toxicity. Her reputation for being impossible to work with speaks volumes, and it’s about time someone held her accountable.
Do you know how toxic someone needs to be for you to quit your source of livelihood ? She has no history of stealing the collective wealth of her people, shipping it abroad while millions of her people are leaving in poverty. Those people who claimed kemi bullied them can sue her and get compensation from her but can the millions of abused, bullied and underpaid workers in Nigeria sue their boss. Was it not in kaduna that soldiers marched and flogged workers who were hired to clean an hotel because they demanded for their wages. The owner refused paying and invited soldiers |

There is no point typing it in full in the first place. U don't know anything about inflation, that's why u wrote 200% when it was obvious inflation wasn't anywhere close to 200%. seguntijan: PBAT PETROL SUBSIDY REMOVAL...A PUNISHMENT TO NIGERIANS?
Obasanjo spent $15billion on subsidy in 8yrs
Yar Adua spent $6billion in 3yrs
Jonathan Spent $36billion in 6 yrs
Buhari spent $50billion in 8yrs
Between May 2000 - May 2023 Nigeria spent about $106billion on cheap fuel
This money could have given nigerians over 80,000Mw of Electricity, Fix all NGR refineries, Fix all the major roads in NGR, Fix Ajaokuta steel & other but it was wasted in Subsidizing petrol not for only nigerians
between 2000 - 2023 NGR Debt equally grew from $28billion to $108billion despite Paris club debt forgiveness of about $18billion.
in 2023 NGR was servicing it's debt with over $18billion annually..seeking to borrow over $25billion on a revenue of less than $20billion.
it took a cumulative number of 3billion Nigerians to consume petrol Subsidy of $106billion in 23yrs
If PBAT continued same pattern it would just take 10yrs(2023 - 2033) to have another 3billion consume $106billion or more of petrol Subsidy raising NGR debt to over $212billion, increase debt servicing to over S40billion with revenue remaining around $28billion(revenue only grew in value by about 70% between Obasanjo and Buhari)
Note our revenue will only be enough for 70% of debt servicing nobody will be receiving salaries again, so teachers , policemen, soldiers, Doctors and others will all go home no money to build any roads, hospitals and others the country will become another banana republic of lawlessness and Chaos
if you think you are in pain today what would have come without PBAT reforms especially removal of subsidy would have been amaggedon So how much money did politicians steal in those years |
