No nation that has subsidized fuel has curbed smuggling. None of them.

Even Libya that uses jet fighters to bomb fuel smugglers ( I wish I was lying here but it is true, look it up) has not stopped it.

I am not excusing government. I expect them to do their jobs. I am even annoyed with the customs and excise of our country self. For many reasons.

But when fuel costs 2000 in Cameroon, the temptations of 1000 naira profit are too huge. And there would be left over after paying off all the payables.

We should pay customs better, tax fuel exports.and maybe build a border fence and Cameroon should import fuel officially from us, but smuggling can't easily stop. Reduce am

In other words if fuel rides to 3k outside Nigeria borders, we should increase our the price fuel is sold in Nigeria to 3k. If it rises to 5k, we increase to 5k
