trueman1: My advice for you is to buy a small car that your savings is adequate for, one thing I have learn't is that maintaining a car you have not fully paid for can be so stressful and disgracing especially when it is your first car. Pls take this one...To maintain a car, you need to be little bit comfortable...don't borrow to buy a depreciating asset.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).

Many are yet to acknowledge and understand the kind of warfare we're engaged in as Christians. They say, "O, Jesus has done it all for me; He fought all my battles for me." Yes, He already accomplished all things for you, but the Word says you should "fight the good fight of faith."

The fight of faith isn't a fight with the devil who has already been defeated; rather, it means maintaining your victory in Christ by standing your ground on God's Word. It means living in the reality of what the Word says about you: laying hold of your rights, privileges and inheritance in Christ, and refusing to let go, irrespective of fierce opposition.

The Apostle Paul emphasized this when he said in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." Notice it says "the weapons of our warfare"; acknowledging that there's indeed a warfare, and we're involved in it!

Secondly, it describes these weapons, stating that they are mighty through the Word and the Holy Spirit, in the pulling down of "strongholds." Strongholds are ideas, thoughts, principles and theories of this world that contradict the Word. Such ideas and theories create negative mind-sets in people, and hold them in bondage. However, with the Word of God, and through the Holy Spirit, we're able to pull down or dismantle such strongholds.

Next, it says "casting down imaginations." Sometimes people have imaginations that are against the Word of God; they're haunted by terrible imaginations of fear, defeat, and failure.
With the Word of God, we're able to tear down and demolish such evil imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God! Stand your ground on the Word always.

CONFESSION
My faith is producing undeniable results; I prevail over every challenging situation because the greater One lives in me, and I'm strong in Him, and in the power of His might.

SUFFICIENT IN HIS SUFFICIENCY

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. 2 Corinthians 3:5

When the scripture says "our sufficiency is of God," it means the ability with which we function is God's ability. His ability is at work in us. We're strengthened with the Strength of God. His divine energy is at work in you. You're therefore up to any task. The Greek word is "hikanotes," which means to have competence or ability, the quality of being adequately fortified and enabled physically, intellectually, mentally, and spiritually for any task!

The Apostle Paul made a striking remark to this effect when he said, "Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh
in me mightily" (Colossians 1:29). No wonder he lived such an inspiring and extraordinary life as an Apostle of Jesus Christ. He acknowledged and
took advantage of the power of God that was at work in him mightily. In Philippians 4:13, he said, "I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me." By that, he wasn't saying, "God is able; so He's going to help me do all things," no! He was referring to an inherent ability in him! He understood that the glorious anointing of the Holy Spirit was at work in him mightily.

You're sufficient in God's sufficiency. This means that your abilities are unlimited; nothing is impossible unto you. Nothing can put you down or wear you out. Isaiah 40:31 says, "…they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." He renews your strength day by day; meaning that your strength is continuously exchanged for His strength. What a life we have in Him; a life of the supernatural and infinite possibilities. Halleluiah.
CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for being my strength and my glory; I'm stirred and ready for anything, and competent to excellently accomplish any task, through your Spirit that infuses inner strength into me! I'm sufficient in your sufficiency! Glory!

jovial99: ABUJA — Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro yesterday dared the House of Representatives on the N1,000 on-line application fee charged those seeking employment in the agency, insisting that there was no going back on the fees.

Following complaints about the fee by applicants, the House of Representatives had directed the Ministry of Interior to cancel the fee.

But speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Para-military Village Housing Scheme Development project Nationwide in Abuja, the minister said the fee subsisted.

He said he was not bothered by the opposition to the fee by the House of Representatives, noting he was doing the right thing.

“Parastatals and I do know the hazards of life threatening for the ordinary person, but I am aware that we are coming from a background of a distorted process of recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service where it was alleged that the process was compromised.

“What we have decided to do is to attempt a new police design that is employed by the Nigeria Police Force, and employed by the Nigerian Air Force and the Nigerian Army in processing applications for recruitment into the service.”

Moro urged the committee to take responsibilities in the discharge of its duties.

He said:  “I told you on assumption of duty here that it is no longer going to be business as usual, you either prepare to work and ship in or you prepare not to work and ship out.”
