Advising Nigerian women to stop making cheating an issue, Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan has taken to Instagram to tell women that cheating doesn’t make your male partner a bad person, but only validates him as a man.

According to the actress, women should look beyond the flaw of cheating, and focus on the way their men treat them. Here’s what she wrote;

“Leaving a man because he cheats is like relocating from Nigeria to America because of rain. News flash: it rains everywhere. Find a good man who loves you and appreciates you. Every other thing can be worked on. Men are naturally born to cheat. Look beyond this flaw and focus on how he treats you.”

She went further to write;

“Good morning guys. I read many comments from my last post and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s funny that it’s women who are answering for their men that the men don’t cheat on them. My sisters, let the men answer for themselves. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow.

While at a media briefing organized by NLC on the current agitations by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and the quit notice given to the Igbos to vacate the 19 states of the north before 1st October by 16 northern youth groups, Nigerian Rights activist and constitutional lawyer Femi Falana disclosed that the man who dished out the ultimatum lives in Lagos.

According to Vanguard, to make stunning revelations about Prof. Ango Abdullahi, who was a former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, who made some inciteful untternaces during Gen. Ibrahim Babangida’s regime over the brutal killings of four ABU students, which led to disruptive protests by the students of the school.

Here’s what Falana said;

“The recently concluded election in the UK, two weeks ago, seven Nigerians emerged as Legislators, can we repeat that, can we look at the challenges before us and stop following those ones trying to divide us?
“This information is very crucial to all of us and I want to say this publicly. The man who is giving quit notice (to the Igbos to leave north) does not live in the North, he lives in Lagos, he is a Lagos man. So to stay in Lagos and be giving quit notices is not the answer.
“On May 23, 1986, young people, four of them were killed in the Ahmadu Bello University because somebody had said we are against coup… Ango Abdullahi was the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University when these students were killed by the Police, he came out and said only four students were killed.

“That angered Nigerians particularly the Nigerian students and there were protests. One of the universities where that protest was very successful was the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Please listen to me, the man who led the protest was late Chima Ubani, what happened? The state did not like the case that it was a national protest against the killing in ABU.
“What did they do? They didn’t arrest the students who were protesting in the North. They didn’t arrest the students who were protesting in the West, (Ibrahim) Babangida regime went for Chima Ubani and arraigned him and eight of his colleagues under a military rule that required that they be sentenced to death. “I left Lagos to go to Enugu to defend those men. We got them freed when they returned to campus, the Vice Chancellor expelled them. Again, I went to court and got them freed. Please this story is very important. “
A Hausa Vice Chancellor invited the police and they killed young Hausa students, four of them. Nigerian students protested and an Igbo young man led that protest in the East against injustice, a Yoruba man in the West to free them. So we must look at those things that the elites are using to divide our people. Injustice is injustice, so there no nation without challenges.”

Three weeks after being found guilty of extorting N15,000 from a motorist in Abuja, The Nigeria Police Force have dismissed two traffic wardens who committed the offence.

It was gathered that Shuaibu Suleman and Musa Muktari dismissal came after the motorist filed a complaint to the Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, PCRRU, Force Headquarters Abuja on May 30.

According to the complainant, while driving his vehicle on May 29, at about 12:30pm along Wuse Market road, he was accosted by the two Traffic Wardens who accused him of “beating traffic light” despite the fact that he did not.



That the wardens started demanding for bribe before they will allow him go and they led him to an ATM where he was forced to make a withdrawal of N15,000 from his account which he gave to the traffic wardens.

Premium Times reported that the complainant disclosed that that one of the wardens forgot his mobile phone in his car. The PCRRU immediately launched an investigation and both traffic wardens were identified and apprehended.



The sum of N15,000 they extorted was recovered. Traffic warden Uniforms, ID cards and all police accoutrements issued to the men have been retrieved and all other dismissal procedure completed.



The extorted sum of N15,000 have been handed back to the complainant with an apology from the PCRRU. The visibly delighted man while collecting his money said he never thought this could happen in Nigeria.



However, the IG of Police, Mr. Idris, has commended the complainant for exposing the traffic wardens. He equally enjoined members of the public to make use of the PCRRU platform which is available 24/7.

Nigerian music stars, Mr. Eazi, Timi Dakolo, and legal practitioner, Saadatu Falila Hamu of the World Economic Forum as ambassadors of the newly launched #TobaccoFreeNigeria and #ClearTheAir campaign.

This is following FG’s ban of tobacco sale to people below 18 years, with a campaign launched to that effect, to raise awareness of the negative effect and dangers of tobacco use in Nigeria.


The announcement came on the Federal Ministry of health’s official Twitter handle, though the music stars are yet to acknowledge this.

Some native Abuja indigenes stormed the entrance of the National Assembly Abuja this morning, lamenting that they've been marginalized. According to SaharaReporters they also threatened quit notice to resident of the nation's capital.

However, an online commenter revealed that the Gbagi (Gwari) tribe of Northern Nigeria, were not really unclad, adding that its their traditional wear called Bente.

According to viral reports, it was gathered that the sporadic gun fire along BIU road in Ugbor, Benin city left an undergraduate, Tobi Igioh. It was further disclosed that the late undergraduate was the only child of the former General Manager of Edo Broadcasting Service, Pastor Mrs Sidi Lawal -Igioh.

Eyewitnesses alleged that Tobi who was a student of Business Administration/Management at Benson Idahosa University was hit by a stray bullet, when the hoodlums were trying to escape after they had successfully robbed some shops in the area around 6.30 pm.

The robbery attack and aftermath also left many others injured, who are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital, with the police on the trail of the hoodlums.

British Airways computer systems have crashed across the world, sparking chaos at airports with massive queues and delayed flights.

All BA flights from Heathrow and Gatwick before 6pm have been cancelled because of a 'major IT system failure' that is causing 'severe disruption worldwide'.

Hundreds of fliers are stuck in 'huge' check-in lines and parts of BA's website and app are not working - causing people trying to check-in online to miss their flights. Several passengers reported that the captain and gate staff at Gatwick Airport said the airline could be under a cyber attack.

Furious fliers in the UK, the US, Rome, Belfast and Lisbon among other locations vented that they have been stuck on their plane for more than two hours.

They spoke of 'disgraceful' customer service as staff gave out 'no information', while others said it was 'carnage' at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 and warned travellers to stay away.

The airline said it was 'experiencing a global system outage' and added it was 'working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible'.

Heathrow Airport said it was 'working closely' with BA to solve the issue.

In a statement, they said: 'We apologise for the current IT systems outage. We are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.'

They advised passengers to check the status of their flight before travelling to the airport.

Delays have also been reported in Rome, Prague, Cagliari, Stockholm and Malaga due to the technical failure and Gatwick Airport.

One passenger said that there were 'huge queues' at check in and 'no explanation'.

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to narrate how she met her husband, who is an Uber driver. According to the lady, they met after a hectic day at a client's office. Here's her story;

"OUR UBER LOVESTORY
On the 19th of July, 2016 after a very hectic time at a Client’s office, I ordered for an Uber ride somewhere around Bourdilion Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. Then one ‘Gregory Shola Okorodudu @bigsholz ’ picked up my request and called to get exact description to where I was. I described it to him and asked to let me know when he arrives.

On getting to me, he said ‘goodevening Maam’, he got out of the car, took my bag, asked where I wanted to sit and opened the door for me. He was like “hope you’re okay Ma?” then I just cut in, “if you call me Ma again I will call you Sir”….lol.

Shortly after, I got a call from my Bestest Nonso and we spoke for a while as there seemed to be a very long traffic that day. At the end of the conversation she told me Afam our friend got us Ribs of fire (barbeque pork ribs) with fries. I was so excited I was singing ‘Afam is the best’…my favorite meal from Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. Then I got off the call with a better countenance than I got in the car.

Then Shola cut in saying, ‘sorry to eavesdrop into your conversation but did you say you found ribs of fire in Lagos?’ I said ‘yes’. He had this big grin on his face then said it was one of his favorite meal in Manchester, UK.

Then I looked at him like, “You’ve been to the UK?” he said YES! Did a Masters in Petroleum and Gas Engineering and graduated with Distinction. I was in shock and he said you don’t believe, here is my certificate. He’s got his documents scanned on phone. So I was like why are you driving Uber then?

He said well job is not forth coming and Uber provided him an Entrepreneurship platform so he grabbed it. But that day in particular, his driver lost his dad and he said rather than the car just being at home doing nothing he decided to drive. I was thrilled and we got talking on and on about life in the UK and Lagos and his aspirations.

Then we moved on to his present walk with God and how he’s desirous of a higher walk with God. On getting home, I said, oh! I was going to the church for Choir rehearsal then he offered to wait and take me there. I just knew I had met an ANGEL somehow."
