A recruit is different from an officer.

OP, please go to the University, spend four years in school, do NYSC and try the Air Force again. Then you will earn well.
If you join the Air Force as a recruit, I bet you won't have the chance to go to the University in the next five years; you might have the chance much later if you are lucky.

OP. Please go to school. You can try to join the Airforce again after your tertiary education. You will be lucky if you can go to the University when you join the force as a recruit.
They will frustrate you with day and night duty, you won't have time for tertiary education.

1) I was reading one of the previous thread and I saw that the ideal employment date format for reference letter is DD/MM/YY but the format my employer used was January 1st 2019. I hope this won't be a problem?

2) I used my housemanship as part of my work experience, so on my reference letter, I have:

Job title: General practitioners and family physicians
Position: House officer
Duration: January 1, 19xx to December 31, 19xx........
Is this fine?

3) Is it okay to title your work employment letter as "employment verification letter"?
