With Nigerian navy Falcon Eye, and NIMASA C4i, it's unlikely that the Navy will still consider a new type of coastal surveillance & monitoring system.

I do have high hopes on Ordinance production though.
Generally delegations r given a product tour for familiarisation of the in-house capabilities .

What does BEL manufacturing specialize in?
Basically it is a electronics , electrical , optoelectronics company . radars , EW , comms , EO products , missile subsystems , avionics , military software products etc etc

They work in multiple domains . More info is in their website . Or u can just search here with ' BEL ' to know some of their products.

That last pic was the model of coastal surveillance system , which is deployed along Indian coasts and friendly countries in Indian Ocean as well as a few African countries with Indian Ocean coastline .

It doesn't seem like a lot of deals have been made in this airshow?

Apart from the Tejas MK1A procurement which was always know for a while, nothing else of note.

Could you throw some light?
Don't keep a tab on these perticularly

LCA deal signing was simply formality to add shine to the show . Everything was cleared a month or so ago.

LUH got IOC certificate handed

HTT40 RFP issued I guess

Lots of JVs between local and foreign companies and ToT agreement between DRDO and private / public companies happened.

In Indian expos arms deals r generally not made/signed , what happens is formality of signing it if required , that too for show publicity.

These expos are basically to expose indian companies to each other , indian customers and to foreign customers and companies , so that business links can be established.

More prominence is laid to interaction among the participants , through multiple conferences , both open and closed door.

Pics of Nigerian delegates, looks like they also visited BEL manufacturing unit.

IMRH will be powered by 2 engines rated at 2000 KW each. It will have dual channel FADEC with cross talk allowing for enhanced safety.

Air intakes are semi dynamic for on demand airflow and the exhausts are divergent .

Main gear box is with 4 stage reduction .

It has tricycle fixed crashworthy wheel landing gear.

IMRH has been designed in a modular fashion ( like LCA ) and HAL is looking to outsource the modules to private industry.

HAL is going beyond one step further than LCA in this. They are willing to partner private firms who would like to take complete ownership of the modules by getting involved right from the detailed design phase itself.

Foreign AffairsRe: Technical Discussions On International Military Equipments Doctrines Tactics Etc by Nemesis2you: 6:28pm On Feb 05, 2021
Total requirements for IMRH are also very high at anticipated 314 helicopters ( IA - 100, IAF - 200 , IN-14 )

The business opportunity for IMRH in Indian military domain alone is projected at 314 total with 20 billion dollar worth business over the entire life cycle.

Foreign AffairsRe: Technical Discussions On International Military Equipments Doctrines Tactics Etc by Nemesis2you: 6:26pm On Feb 05, 2021
HAL is offering manual blade folding on the IMRH IA/IAF version for smaller storage space. HAL is also offering option for retractable LG, even though the SQR ask for static LG as of now.

HAL is expecting inputs from the Navy so they can offer a Naval version with automatic blade folding and possibly even tailboom folding for ship hanger storage.

Info on HAL IMRH

HAL has been working on IMRH since 2017. They have made considerable progress on IMRH program.

The configuration is frozen based on draft SRQ from the IA/IAF.

A wide variety of roles are envisaged for IMRH in the three services.

So far IA and IAF have given their inputs and their version is at an advanced stage of design.
