If you're making noise that "ikaki" is a Rukwo term found in ukwa dialect, I've kalabari and kirike dictionaries from which I can fish out thousands of Igbo terms currently in use. Maybe I can lay claims to those two tribes as Igbo afterall most of their ancestry was from Igboland.
When the time comes, the southern ukwa would rejoin their brothers in Abia state

I've equally visited that territory more times than I count through that family and each time I've visited there, likewise my bestfriend's mother, always maintained that they are ibibio. My bestfriend mother despite being fully Ibeno maintains that she's a mix of Annang and Ibibio. There was even an argument about this on this NL several years ago and if I recall correctly, the Ibeno on this forum repeatedly told you ijaws that they are NOT ijaws.

I thought you would give me the history of Ndoki since u claimed you know, go and ask elderly Ndoki people where they came from, and check the names most of them answer then get back to me, the popular Ndoki wrapper "Ikaki" is the Ijaw word for tortoise. I'm well versed in sentiments prevalent in Ndoki of today as a very good friend of mine is an Ndoki man from Azumini, I had equally been to Azumini before.

Ndoki people are comfortable with their Igbo identity. The story is that Bonny and Opobo migrated out of Ndoki and subsequently lost their Igbo language for current Ibani they speak, but later found their Igbo language back through the slave trade and today speak Igbo as first languages.

Oyigbo LGA produce more crude oil than all LGAs in Rivers state , except ONELGA, another Igboid language. Etche land also produce a substantial amount of crude oil more than most Ikwerre LGAs.
So, No! Neither Etche nor Oyigbo( Ndoki/Asa) people, need your Rivers state more than you need them.

The SE states that produce oil viz Abia, Imo and Anambra have oil producing areas commission...whose job is to ensure that whatever dollars their soil produces is given back to them to compensate for whatever degradation their environment might suffer,unlike Rivers that uses their oil money to develop only PH
Another reason is the ethnic factor.... Abia is 99% Igbo unlike Rivers that's 60-75% Igbo(depending on whose statistics you go with) and so they feel more safer in Abia than Rivers because in Abia, everyone speaks the same language whereas in Rivers they can't even speak their tongue bkos Igbo isn't a recognized language in Rivers state.
So the reasons boku... And more and more Igbos even as far north as otukpa agree that obigbo needs to be returned back to Abia state!

So even with the "60-70% Igbo" they don't feel safe speaking Igbo, you guys are just hilarious, I can now see its their oil you are after, a quick foray into Abia state would show you the lack of companies and good Road network and general backwardness, who would want to leave the beautiful state of Rivers to go to Abia?
