Ijawblooded: Hahahahahaha. Even their governors and politicians dey wear am like their native sef.
If you attend an Igbo traditional wedding you will see the funniest blend of dressing, sometimes they will wear the kilari sughu as native headgear other times they dress like Bini brides, the men will wear agbada or even Etibo with headtie material as wrapper
Odingo1: The Cap is not Ijaw dressing, it a British cow boy cap. They should trace their ancestors to know their real traditional outfit and not parading theirselves on British clothing. Shame nodey catch them or what.
Red cap originates from Moroccans and other Arabs, why do Igbo now wear it
techwaya: Some states will just collapse because of this,i keep asking how can states like Borno and adamawa cope, Boko Haram ravaged state like Borno can't even go into agriculture as source of income let's restructuring shouldn't be about destroying our fellow country men..

RobbStark: Once someone fail to agree with your notion, then he is Yoruba.
Leave Yoruba out of this discuss. All my life, I have only been to Ondo state for a trad. Okitipupa precisely.
I am a true born Ijaw son and like I always say, no inch of Ijaw land will be ceded to your flat headers.
Una rant, na here e end No where e reach. Make Una continue. I dey Opobo like this dey lick peppersoup. Make una come collect Opobo na. I dey Lady B shop for the waterfront Come n join me bra Hahahaha
jimyjames: I can see you know nothing about this topic and you are arguing blindly from what you read on internet why are you avoiding me? Well let me enlighten you a little, First of all, you are looking at OSU from an igbo unity empire, igbos never had a United empire like the benins, hausa's yoruba's etc such never existed Igbos were made up of different clans and these clans had different beliefs rituals and taboos that differ from each other
An OSU from one igbo clan will not be regarded as an OSU in another igbo clan One family can consider another family as OSU but not an entire clan A man will commit abomination in his clan and be banished he will take refuge in another clan and will not be an OSU in that clan, someone banished amongst his people can take refuge amongst his mothers people and won't be an OSU there
Some people made themselves OSU amongst their people by joining secret cults and bind themselves with oaths that made them OSUs amongst their people, families of chief priests that served some particular gods were OSUs cause of some certain oaths they were under. I can go on and on
Igbo Unity came to be as a result of the colonizers whom found it easier to conquer ethics groups under United empire's with rulers Hope you understand? I can go further if you still don't get it
You can whitewash all you can , the discuss is not of Igbo unity but on slavery in Igbo land.
IDENNAA: Onicha and Idemmili towns also adopted Bini titles like Ozoma/Osoma(Bini Esogba ) , Iyasele ( Bini Iyasere) , Akpe Olodi etc. As you can see , neighbors borrow titles from each other.
Now is this the mindset of someone willing to learn, what's the relationship between Onicha and Ibani kingdoms with titles in Ibani language which neighbor are you talking about, two different places with no history of contact or are you saying Onicha have a living dialect different from Igbo language, you have made a serious fallacy.
IDENNAA: Ok , if we are going to have a smooth discussion let's not speak about things we don't know about. I have kindred men who bear Nwosu....now , do you know more than my 80yrs old father ? Abeg , let's move on and not deviate. You sound like you aren't here for civil discussion.
You discuss another Man's culture and identity but yours is sacrosanct, tell me you don't find that funny
IDENNAA: First of all , osu caste is primarily practiced in Anambra and some Imo towns. And like I said before....the name Nwosu and osu are unrelated. Thanks
Nwa OSU or Nwosu is a slave decedant , no need to whitewash anything because of modernization or Christianity, your ancestors took people for other places and made them slaves it happened across Igbo land and Nigeria just that it wasn't as documented.
IDENNAA: Again , Igbo did not lose their language to England , they only added it to list of spoken language due to colonialism. So , let me ask you this question again....why does Opobo and Bonny speak Igbo language ? Where is their native tongue if you argued one existed ?
You must have notice that the Towns, Titles and Naming are in a language foreign to Igbo , names like Jubojubo(Anglicized to Jaja), Opubo(Opobo),Minima, Ogolo, Fubarakuro,Patesi, Daminabo, Asiparabietogha(Anglicized to Cyprian) , Titles like Amanyanabo, Senibo, Alabo, Amaopuorubo etc , this language like its people is called Ibani egere and is still spoken till today
IDENNAA: Calm down , nigga! We are here to learn and the worst thing you can do to yourself in a learning environment is to become emotional ,sentimental and dishonest because you will lose.
If you were here to learn you will not claim to know more than the aborigines/ custodians of the said culture.
IDENNAA: Brother , this is not a sound reasoning. You are becoming emotional hence your inability to reason properly. The Igbo speak their native language , primarily , with English as language of instructions and academic. This your example is very poor and unrelated.
On the contrary brother, you made a claim, that the only reason someone will use a foreign language is when they were outnumbered by the foreign group, therefore the indigenous group belonged to the foreign group all along. By your own logic which I was following Nigerians were British all along because many Nigerians speak English as their first and only language
IDENNAA: While it may not be the only factor , languishing a strong pointer to the origin of a people because languages are not easily lost. It was language that we used to silence Onicha's Bini ancestry claims because there was no traces of a lost language.
If the people if Opobo and Bonny make claims of losing their Ijaw language to Igbo then they are shooting themselves in the foot .... 1. Because there are patterns of language developments and extinction , 2. It means they were outnumbered which would them Igbo etc.
Yet you speak English despite outnumbering the British by over 100 million, Thank God Ibani egere is still living.
Lies. Language doesn't change that easy. If you speak Igbo widely, you are either Igbo or Igbo descended. We're not fools here. The Bonny/Opobo people are Igbo. With some Ijaw people there, especially in Bonny. Finish.
That's your own argument, maybe one day they will consult you to speak for Ibani people as the Ibani people that have told you countlessly that they're Ijaw don't know their origin, namanafini
