Majorly i think until we take the bull by the horn.

Our leaders would still continue to take us for granted.
until everyone goes back home and looks at his or her Uncle, Aunt,Parents or Family friend involved in this crazy politics and tell them to their face that enough is enough. (this include my very self)
because lets face it, these politicians have relations, friends, well wishers.
until those close to them stand up to them and we the general public stand up to them
then i am sorry, its going to be business as usual.

@ 168 million * 360 (members) = 16.1 billion per annum for all the members

however what they are asking for if allowed would bring their quarterly payments to N42 million.
with 360 lawmakers involved - that comes to an untidy sum of N15.1 billion per annum and approximately

That is exactly why public offices in Nigeria are gold mine.
That is the reason why people do anything to be elected or selected.

I said it before, Nigeria is a failed State. So we have rogue officials running a Crime syndicate in the name of Govt.
We will continue to witness massive migration out of the Country.
Why are they shouting for Ibori's head when the Criminals are walking the streets with us ?

Ibori is a perfect example of where to start, the anti-corruption crusade cannot start with every criminal at once, starting with Ibori, is definitely in the right direction.

@topic: for our legislator's i still believe the best bet is make parliamentary functions a part time job, where legislators are allowed to do their other professional businesses (afterall they usually just run around the various miniteries looking for contracts) along with their parliamentary duties and they should be paid per sitting.
