Bro, Droidvpn restricts many functions to its premium account users.

Instead of Yahoo mail app, you can use the native mail app that comes with your Android OS, it works well.
make sure to use gmail.com as your APN.

Droidvpn works on unrooted device, but you must run OS ICS and above.

I dont know the reasons for this but this is the truth maybe because a blackberry phone is almost completely useless without an active data plan or so. If you are using UDP as the network protocol, set the UDP port number to 500.
If your phone is rooted, use the ICMP protocol. It should connect.
