Neduzze5: I'm so so flexing with this droidvpn on my Tn3.Lol thanks broI love G4 nor be small. But since I comot school, to get am dey hard |
dam4sam: MTN finally subscribed me to BBC!Before subscribing to a data plan from any of the operators, always endeavor to know how their data service in your area is like. In my area, I do get stable H+ on my Android and 4G on BlackBerry. Different strokes for different folks things ![]() |
Teeboy06:Thanks Teeboy06 |
dam4sam: Those MTN Crooks refused to activate my BBC l subscribed to since yesterday night, around 9pm!Depends bruv, the data cap is around 3Gig So after your first video call, check the amount of data it costs you, do the maths and knwnif it could last you that long. Cheers |
olayiwola9: aw far about airtel and etisalat:Coming |
Still on Droidvpn It requires you to register an account, its very easy to do. You only use Email address and password to register. It connects effortlessly and allows you to surf the web faster and anonymously; what more can you ask for? ![]() The average data download speed I get on my Galaxy Tab on H+ network is 200Kps but with Droidvpn, it reaches up to 2.5Mbps. Well, that's a pretty good speed in Nigerian standards ![]() To make online payments, or want to open a confidential email or you just want to be safe while surfing the web, I will advice you to do so with Droidvpn. There are other good VPN apps out there sha( maybe I will have to open create a thread on internet security) View the attached screenshots

I've been running some tests in the last 2 days on the use of Droidvpn for super-heavy users. The guys that MTN brought in to do some cleanup job on the use of tricks and tweaks on their network are quite good ![]() Droidvpn no longer make mtn BBC/BIS unlimited as it used to(I think it stopped when they made BIS package usable in other OS platforms other than BlackBerry) For now, Droidvpn can be used to access otherwise restricted sites, and to make your IP untraceable. The free version is still restricted to 100MB data cap per day. |
Nice thread. Weldone Networkgenius!
Thanks man |
dam4sam: Now that is scary!Nothing to be scared about people , if you haven't reached your fair usage threshold and they are deducting your airtime, just send data off to 131It will take their thieving hands off your airtime ![]() |
finah: sum1 pls help me. I did the mtn bbc sub. They activated it n i checked status to be sure. but they consumed my airtime when i attempted to browse. I checked status again n they said i dnt hav an active sub. Even their cc confirmd dt my sub was stil active. I cnt do anytin on my n3 nw.Send data off to 131 |
lrguru: airtel needs to be taught a very good lesson i tell yaThis Air Till tomorrow, MTN still remains the best network in Nigeria, though many people won't agree with me, but that's the hard truth. But you guys should always check for terms and conditions of any data package from these network providers before rushing to subscribe to any of them. Also endeavor to check for reviews of such package especially from Nairalanders before subscribing. The rate at which they employ deceptive marketing to scam Nigerians is alarming |
dam4sam: I have sent BBC to 21600 as well.Call cc |
adewasco2k: I have sent BBDAY to 21600 more than 10 times no respond yetIf you have sent a request but weren't subscribed, the best thing to do is to call Customer Care and ask them to do it for you. Works all the time. |
zelexotunla: . Bro i beg how u take do am o? My fair usage don kpeme o. I can't browse again o. I heard dat if i subscribed for 2h plan dat d thing will continue browsing till my expiring date. How true is this?MTN don block that 2H stuff o(though some people claim say e work for them as at 3 days ago). But still works for people that subscribed earlier. |
maxdozie: wow amazin... I tink MTN is unlimited...i hav used My data fair usage bt i stil browse...i hav downloaded 3gb of games since yesterday..bt its kinda disconnect nd reconnect bt e no bad! As lng as i download 4free.... Omoge flexinYes, incessant connection is always experienced whenever you exceed your data cap but can still brows. Make sure you don't load and leave airtime in the sim sha. |
lawizle: Av exceeded my fair usage but am still browsing even with zero naira on my phone...I use a Note 1...presently Av used up to 6.64gb...and its all with 1k subscription...but if I recharge it will start deducting money but it continues to browse even if I got no credit...another thing is dat d network flunctuates so Av not been able to upgrade my os to d new jelly bean..hope to do so Wen my subscription expires on d 23rd and I legally renew my package...for d main time is free browsing continua!!!It happens bro, just make sure you don't load any substantial amount of airtime in line, else MTN go use you shine ![]() |
I've discovered that web.GPRS.mtnnigeria.net doest work on Edge network. Only use when you can access 3G, H+ or 4G services |
I've created the new APN nd still not working. ![]() I'm running jellybean 4.1.1
Contact me on whatsapp |
Please can you post a screnshot of your settings Because it doesn't seem to work on my sIII
Create new APN Use blackberry.net as your APN Use web as username and password respectively Leave every other field as it is. Which version of Android OS do you run on your device? |
Are your internet enabled apps (facebook, twtter) working as well??
They all work. |
Uchiha Itachi: am sure i got the settings right bro cos its connecting via wireless hotspot on pc but not on the phoneYou mean you can share your data services from the device? Or that you can connect to WiFi and brows? |
Uchiha Itachi: windows 8Try web.GPRS.mtnnigeria.net |
For those having issues with the blackberry.net APN on their Android devices, you can try web.GPRS.mtnnigeria.net. |
Bros, you sure about the unlimitness of mtn absolute? Can someone share any one that works with VPNs unlimitedly
MTN BIS is not unlimited from what I know. It is officially capped at 3Gig same as BBC. The only notable difference between the two packages can only be noticed when you are using a BlackBerry phone; it allows you access to BlackBerry Protect, and you can register and access up to 10 Email accounts on your device. MTN just crookedly bandy that word "unlimited" to hoodwink its unsuspecting customers. If its unlimited, why will they terminate your data access on their network when you exceed the fair usage limit ![]() |
kunlesehan: you're a true geeeenious bro. tanx 4 d help u just gave me via watsapp.Lol, glad I was of help. |
I trust the guys at Sammy, they do their home work well. This phone will be a game changer; a monster of a device ![]() |

Uchiha Itachi: I did all that but it's still not going, i guess i have to go back to airtelI believe that there's something you are getting wrong. With the right settings this package works on all devices. |
