You are calling for Southern unity now because the relationship between the South west and their boyfriend the North is becoming rocky abi? 😂

When both regions settle, guess who the sacrificial lamb would be?

There's NO southern unity! It's a ruse!

The south east should remain neutral , grab their coke and pop corn and watch the drama!

The South South is free to take sides.. their business... but the SE will siddon, look and laugh!

End of story! Our mumu don do.

That's what i'd expect to hear from people who feels the rest of the world should worship it. After 8yrs of terrorizing the entire country both farmers and travellers.

The north feels Nigeria is it's heritage

Northerners don't want regime change or good governance... they want to be on there own, they want Russia to annex them(reason they're waving the Russian flag up North), which is a good thing. lols

If that is not the case, and they equally don't want good governance.... If all they want is power to go back to the North.

Mk I fess tell them here on Nairaland, there suffer never start, them go suffer for complete 8yrs in vain.

You lost touch of reality in ur submissive opinion. For me, i understand the north and their politics.

The north doesn't want to be a second fiddle where political decisions aren't exclusive hers. The north and it's subject believe Nigeria is it's bet right and no other tribe should take political decisions unless it is him.

How come northerners didn't see reason to call in Russia to lead the country during Buhari bad leadership, after all most northerners never liked Buhari style of leadership?

They know Russian influence with military takeover in most African countries of late. Of course they realize, they a have a sizeable number of military men in the hierarchy Nigeria Arm forces and it have undue advantage over other nationals.

These are the reason behind their call for Russia to come to their rescue nothing more.

Nigeria doesn't belong to the north or the south but a collective patrimony of all Nigerian people not to a section of the country.

They have enjoyed too much power that they can't stand being on the fence for too long.
.they had wished another northerner would continue as the president after 8yrs of Buhari misrule hence their reckless display of illiteracy

savenaijatoday:
What most people don't know about politics and governance is that it mustn't be you. You can't do everything with money. What is Tinubu looking for? Is it money or fame? The disgrace, stress and insults he receives from Nigerians every day would've been avoided if he had listened to himself and allowed younger people do the tough job. He still has 2027 like Nobel to redeem his battered image if his office lasts till then. But the greedy, gluttonous psychopaths around him will still push him and make him lose all he has laboured to get for years. Learn wisdom and you will never miss your way.

How is that the cause of hunger? Either way, Obi also agreed to do away with subsidy, do u have alternative to effect caused the removal? Or are u trying to wipe tribal sentiment?

The man has been doing greatly even he's managed to address some of the injustice going on in the Nigeria state for yrs.

Southeast Development Commission was recently signed by Tinubu which means processes of rehabilitation and rebuilding will begin now, something that should have been addressed more than 30yrs ago.

The space of one yr isn't enough to judge the administration and when the north are destroying everywhere shouting hunger while looting and vandalizing public assets how is that a protest?

For me, the north is hiding under hunger protest to revolt against the govt because it fell out usual politics and the north doesn't like being a subordinate to any part of the country but to always be in control

Does he understand this isn't a military regime.

It's a democracy and everybody enjoys freedom of speech, movement and association no military man have such right to withdraw the rights of citizens to free speech or have a right to tell the media what not to cover.

The Nigerian military needs to realize that it doesn't exist by itself but exists to protect the sovereignty of Nigeria state and if Nigeria doesn't exist they cannot be the military.

Nigerian govt is being run like a cult that only it's members have right to know what happens within it, that's exactly what Nigeria is like.

I'm not against the protest but my displeasure with Hausas coming out daily to demand this and that while they all went to sleep during Buhari criminal govt for 8yrs including killing of innocent Nigerians in the 2020 protest.

This is hypocrite of Northern Nigerians but the southerners who feels it is their right to protest yes but do it reasonably.

Let's not destroy our own while the north take advantage of our disunity. All they want is the power to always control our common patrimony

Politics / Re: Miscreants Threaten To Deal With Pro-hunger Protesters In Lagos by Never4getU: 5:12pm On Jul 30
This is the same template as 2020 Endears protest. Same way govt official caught at different locations dropping off miscreants to hijack and redirect the protest primary intentions..

I hope this tactics of govt won't backfire as playing similar card of 4yrs ago that saw quite a number of Nigerian youths killed may not work in favor of this govt for another time.

Allow people to protest and give them the time to get tire by themselves that way everybody would achieve their aims without hurting anybody.

Trying to use force to clamp it down may work against the govt as it may likely gain more traction

Yet the same north watched Buhari for 8 good wasted yrs. The north looked away while Buhari govt introduced this hardship since 2015. Instead of reacting, the northern elites were so quiet because Buhari is from there.

In 2020 during the endears protest that saw the killing of innocent Nigerians, Buhari was the one who ordered the military to invade law abiding citizens of this country for doing what was tgeir constitutional right, how many northerners joined the protest against Sara brutality?

Now, this particular protest is gaining traction from the northern part of the country bcoz the President is from the south and not them. They wish is them again after uninterrupted 8yrs.

The north can't accept patient from rotation of same turned they already enjoyed theirs

Politics / Re: Tinubu Addressing Nigeria’s Decades Of Challenges — Tunji-Ojo by Never4getU: 9:32pm On Jul 28
TheRareGem1:
The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has asked the organisers of the proposed August 1 nationwide protest to rescind their decision, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is acutely aware of the current plights of Nigerians and that he is working tirelessly and meticulously to resolve them.

He said what is required is for Nigerians to stand united, embracing a strong sense of patriotism and national pride, with firm support for the president as he leads the nation through this transformative period.

Tunji-Ojo, in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Abuja, noted that the nation’s journey in about 64 years of independence has never been easy, but through collective resilience and patriotism, significant strides could be made

The statement read in part: “Sixty-four years after attaining sovereign status, our beloved nation has consciously strived towards the realisation of a better Nigeria.

“We stand at a pivotal moment in our history, where acknowledging our achievements and recognising the surmountable challenges ahead is essential

It is in this spirit of reflection and resolve that I find solace—and consider it a profound blessing—that we have a president who is bold, audacious, and tenacious enough to face these difficulties

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated unparalleled boldness and tenacity in confronting and addressing the longstanding issues that plague our nation

His unwavering commitment to overcoming these challenges is evident in every action he takes. President Tinubu is acutely aware of the current plights of Nigerians, and he is working tirelessly and meticulously to resolve them

In these times of both challenge and opportunity, it is imperative that we, the people of Nigeria, come together with renewed vigour and unwavering support for President Tinubu’s administration.

“Our nation’s journey has never been easy, but it is through our collective resilience and patriotism that we have made significant strides

He is not just a leader; he is a symbol of our collective aspirations for a prosperous and equitable Nigeria.

“Now, more than ever, we must rally behind President Tinubu’s vision for our country. His administration is dedicated to creating lasting solutions that will uplift every Nigerian, ensuring that our future is one of hope, opportunity, and justice.

“Let us renew our commitment to this noble cause, knowing that together we can overcome any obstacle and achieve the Nigeria of our dreams.

“As we embark on this journey, let us remember that the strength of our nation lies in our unity and our unwavering belief in a brighter future. President Tinubu is leading us with courage and determination, and with our support, there is no challenge we cannot surmount.

“Let us stand together, Nigeria, and renew our pledge to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he works diligently to build a better, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria for all,” he stated

“We call upon every Nigerian to stand united, embracing a strong sense of patriotism and national pride. Our support and commitment are crucial as President Tinubu leads us through this transformative period

https://tribuneonlineng.com/tinubu-addressing-nigerias-decades-of-challenges-tunji-ojo/?amp

Decades of challenges can't be addressed in a single term of 4yrs except when a leader careless what becomes of his subjects.

The foundation is faulty, the constitution isn't a people centered and so many ills but it's always comfortable to address it where it hardened the common man.

The sacrifice should start from the top where national assembly show by example by reducing its overhead and her expenditure.

We don't need unicameral legislation, it should be bi-camera or at best a part term basis. What do we need two chambers for when we can try to cut-cost and reduce unnecessary spending on politicians

Every average Nigerian want to become a politician because is the only way to escape poverty.
