Tjra: This is a serious breach of privacy...Too bad
The good news is that, BVN or NIN details alone are not sufficient to wipe off your accounts.
With 2 factor authentication already set by all Banks on their Apps and online banking and with your Phone/SIM intact, you have no worries.
Our last line of defence and hope is that Telecoms operators don't employ scammers by error otherwise, we are finished
We have a useless govt who is only interested I compounding the already disturbing situation of the country. Nigeria is a porouse entity with no data verification base.
I have witnessed another person NIN being used to register a sim for another individual unknown to the owner. Once u submit ur NIN to procure a sim the vendors just naturally start using for new customers without one. So if this people commit heinous offense the originally owner is in serious trouble
Googledotcom: If the north unites with less strong holds from south South, Tinubu is a goner come the next election.
Tinubu has done more than enough within a year plus, he needs to be shown the exit door before the masses start dropping lifeless out of hunger.
Dey play
Tinubu is Nigeria socrate the father of politics...that man will beat them to their own game. Don't forget, after all politics is one; interest only maximization of interest
guysbewise: Nigerians were united until the Ibo coup of 1966 and the Ibo wanting to dominate North,SW and the Niger Delta of Nigeria, and since then Nigeria has never been the same again.
Irony of life...the same ibo are the one cry wolves now as though they're innocent to the problem yet they're the foundation to the problem.
Only tribe in the whole nation wanting to dominate host community.
This isn't a good news. Pray nothing serious of fracas didn't breakout of southwest or Lagos in particular, it will be easier for northerners knowing they would just jump into the rail before arriving lagos to access any west state of their choice.
This isn't business project but politics for 2027 not about Nigerians and Nigeria development
Kingpele: Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha...PO abeg slow down you are giving agbadorians HBP ...please remember they love to be in slavery because of tribe and religion.... one of the sins of bello apart from stealing public funds which most of his colleagues is equally guilty is saying that Peter obi won the election but they helped tinubu rig it...that statement is the mean reason he will eventually be in jail.. .. Peter obi please calm down ..we see them already wailing bitterly emergency lovers of Nigeria
Mumu the same Obi deported ur asses and sack ur Eastern people from civil service before
PressMyButton: Magnus Abe belonging in Wike's camp has sent even more shivers down the spine of Fubara. The house of assembly is an independent arm, it is not within your powers to recognize or derecognize any lawmaker, it is only the court of law that can make the pronouncement. Fubara is not facing governance, he's talking too much and might not end well for him.
I don't understand it I should say Fubara is toddler in the position of authority. How can elected gov be saying assembly exists because he wanted it to? Doesn't understand his office is one part of the branch? Does he realize he holds no such power under the constitution? Whatever has happened in the past by some govt officials or elected office holders using police against states and national assembly is impunity of the highest order, an illegality
Mj4199: Man UTD without Fernandez...one useless team behind my house will beat them blue black.. DStv should better remove man UTD matches from supersport to cartoon network for now until they are serious next season
No excuse abeg. Arsenal 5 against Chelsea una know wetin una talk .... useless manu
Skooltynz: I saw an interview on twitter were white elires were talking about how they plan recolonizing Africa again,They said they are tired of our people mass migrating to their land that its posing a security threat to them now they wanna help us recolonize Africa.
U're leaders are using white to recolonize u again while they take bounty on ur head
WesternPanzer: Honestly, who can explain this to me? Nigeria is collapsing before our eyes and Reno Omokri and paid APC hacks are dancing the dance of a dying patient.
Fuel is over 1000 in most states
Dollar is over 1400 again
Food is now luxury
Nigeria is totally Collapsing.
What exactly is happening in Nigeria?
Rather than put pressure on government to work with his media influence, Reno is focusing more energy on how many schools Obi built?
Or How many exam malpractices centre flourished under Peter Obi?
Even if all these were true which of course they are not, how are these past events relevant to the present reality in Nigeria?
How does this affect the current HELLFIRE NIGERIA HAS BECOME UNDER TINUBU?
The annoying part is that Peter Obi is not even President. How come he is more popular and trending than the president? I am very confused
Because Peter Obi will be worse since he started by faking and telling us too many lies about his capacity to deliver.
It should ha e been easy if he had a good precedent while he served as a governor. Trying to appear more like a saint now speak volumes with lots of deceit.
How on earth will someone embark on a borehole project to alliavate or ease the w suffering people goes through over water but he started buy erecting substandard water projects and inaugurating same without any shame in him. In this 21century?
How can any right thinking person be reasoning like that?
That goes to show his failure and an invitation to get worse if given a chance at the highest office.
atiku4President: They will deny everything, deny everything like the Omockery man says. We all know who really won the election.
We don't have to deny, we want the Igbo relocate back to their region. it's never going to be possible watch them take over our State using proxy of one foolish Chinedu
iwaeda: The United States Government has concluded that the ruling Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress sponsored thugs to intimidate and suppress voters in Igbo-dominated areas in Lagos State during the March 18, 2023 governorship election. .
The U.S. Department of State disclosed this in its ‘2023 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices: Nigeria,’ published on its website on Tuesday.
According to the U.S. government, following the victory of Peter Obi of the Labour Party at the February 25, 2023 presidential polls, the ruling party hired thugs to deny Igbo votes for Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, in favour of incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was then seeking a second term in office.
Must u overpopulate Lagos votes like Lagos isn't any Igbo State rubbish.
Go and vote in the East and win gubernatorial election there not coming here to do rubbish. U guys are not the only non indigenes I don't understand why is U everytime complaining about allowing U do that do this.
Many non Yorubas and non indigenes of Lagos live here peacefully for decades I haven't heard where an Hausa man dragging governorship of Lagos with the Yorubas or the indigenous people of Lagos.
During last election, you guys exposed urself about ur intentions and scheming in the State simply because U were allowed to flourish U feels the next line of action is displace the rightful host. Typical Igbo!
Now you saw what Ur dominating attitude has done to U in Lagos. U have by implication destroyed the trust and little love enjoyed by Ur folks because Lagos won't lose sleep over Ur matter not anymore
SadiqBabaSani: OBI is still giving the real enemies of Nigeria headache
Tinubu have power now but does not know what to do with it as hardship has refused to scale down.
Sychophants chant Obi's name as if he is the President
He's only wasting his time think the impossible is ever possible. If u failed when the man was not the president, is it when he's u want to win against him?
AntiMarxist: Building and operating schools is not a state government venture .
But state government funds being diverted to private portfolios to build a brewery is ok.
According to the obidaft crew, there are no public funded schools in Anambra .
They claim all schools were built by village unions and Christian missions.
They also claim there is no need for any new schools to be built by the state government.
This is the illogical route they have embarked on to defend their messiah not investing in public schools.
It's going on 2weeks now since Reno dropped his challenge and all we get are silly statements like the above defending their false Messiah or a gang up attack on Reno.
This is the same Obi that Anambra peeps declared the worst governor during his tenure.
History have a way of reminding us our past. Only if Obi got wind off his future destination in respect to contesting the highest position of presidency, I'm certain he would have prepare his false narrative to suit this day and gullible Nigerians as always would loosen hell because of him
9jatriot: That was what Obj used to do, he would just import the state assembly members to Abuja and they would pass an impeachment notice on the governor. I think that was how Alaimesha, Dariye, and Fayoshe were removed.
In this case, EFCC can be more refined about it and officially report the governor to the house of assembly and request that they impeach him so that he can answer for obstructing the arrest of a fugitive. If they do this, this will send a strong message to everyone and the international community. It does not mean they will succeed with the impeachment, but it will put everyone on their toes.
I remember one boko haram suspect was arrested in one government house one time, only God knows what things are hiding in most government houses in this country.
The very precedent sited was designed of civilian coup by proxy. It's an abuse of power by the federal government under OBJ not different from military coup.
Today, same OBJ is preaching good governance all over Africa and one can explain the decadence in our system
JasonEkanem: PRESS RELEASE: West African Youth Congress (WAYC) Condemns Racist and Discriminatory Practices by Chinese Supermarket and Extortion by British School in Nigeria
April 23, 2024
The West African Youth Congress (WAYC), a non-governmental youth advocacy organization representing the interests of young people across ECOWAS member states, strongly condemns the discriminatory actions of a Chinese supermarket situated at China General Chamber of Commerce, along Yar'adua Road in Abuja, that has reportedly barred Nigerians from shopping in its facility. Such racist and discriminatory practices are unacceptable, especially when carried out on Nigerian soil.
The recent reports of Nigerians being denied access to this establishment based on their nationality is a clear violation of human rights and a demonstration of xenophobia. As an organization committed to equality and justice, WAYC calls on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Investment and Chinese Embassy, to take immediate action and demand accountability from the said Chinese Supermarket. Furthermore, we urge the Police, Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency and other law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and order a probe into this criminal behavior.
In addition to this, WAYC expresses deep concern over the reported exorbitant school fees charged by Charterhouse, a private British school, which demands 42 million naira per annum for each primary school student and a non-refundable registration fee of 2 million naira. This blatant exploitation of parents and guardians, especially at a time when many citizens struggle with poverty and the minimum wage remains at a mere N30,000 per month, is deplorable.
Such practices not only perpetuate inequality but also breed corruption by encouraging those in privileged positions to exploit their advantage for personal gain. We call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, British High Commission, Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency to fulfill their mandates by preventing foreign institutions from extorting Nigerian citizens and ensuring equitable access to quality education for all.
WAYC reiterates its commitment to advocating for the welfare and rights of the people of ECOWAS member states, particularly the youth. We recognize that policies and events in Nigeria have socioeconomic and political implications across the region, and we stand in solidarity with all those affected by injustice and discrimination.
Signed Amb Mohammed Ahmed Marafa, PSLC Secretary General and Head of the Mission West Africa Youth Congress (WAYC)
