14 lawmakers didn't show up, most likely because they were with Oshiomole. So 10 lawmakers were inaugurated.

So the governor at night issued a proclamation which gave life to the house in 2019.

That was how this battle began.

If he had allowed Oshiomole choose all the members then he is bound to always listen to him failure of which he will be impeached. 2/3 of the house means 16 members.

The house has 24 members. Knowing that 2/3 of the members are constitutionally allowed to impeach him. He refused.

This matter all started when according to the governor the former governor want to decide who will be the members of the house of Assembly.

Adams Oshiomole was everybody's darling. I don't know what happened to him. Some of us still have a soft spot for him.

He has the reach. I think he is perhaps in a very good position to do that. Talk to all the former presidents. Let them buy into it including the current president. Let them agree we need young people who are mobile.

I think he knew what he lacks and that is the understanding of the NIGERIAN politics. He should help find a young ibo guy/lady and use his connection to sell him/her. Actually that is what he should think of doing now.

So you tell the children of other people to defend their votes while your children are abroad and the government is paying for their school fees and upkeep.

If the children will vote on election. They should follow the governor. I have never seen these people with their children. God have mercy!!!

And they must tone down. It is not their children they will use to fight. Come to think of it. How many of their children even vote.

Both parties are already subtly preaching violence.

Things are very hard. And Covid 19 has not helped at all. The poorer the people get the more difficult it is to bring up good children that will add value to the society.

Parents struggle to correct their children because they can't provide for them.

It is so sad.

Today, a lot of families are living in abject poverty. Distracted by issues of providing for their families and no mental space to think about patriotism.

Ordinarily our leaders are supposed to lead the way and break the circle but unfortunately they are not doing it.

And the virtuous circle is on. Who will break it. Who will just decide to break it.

Yes from Family to society to leadership but the leadership has affected the family negatively.

Save the children of today and you save the future.

Indeed they are the future of our nation

Let us put the love of NIGERIA into our children. That is the only way we secure our future.

We need to catch them young. At that age is the age you can easily put things into their head.

The parents of that little child should serve as an example to other parents. We should work towards putting patriotism into our children at a very young age.
