Anyways still wanna go ahead and try my luck because a colleague of mine in this same program was given a uk visa although she went with family. Quite optimistic, and am I allowed to show pictures from attending the past conference, document of research work performed during d conference? Can I also add an additional letter explaining my interest in medical conferences like this as regards career building?

By the way, I plan to submit next week, can I book an appointment today?
I've the ff documents:
-Payslips of past 3months
-letter of current appointment
-letter of introduction
-Proof of Medical License
-flight itinerary
-Medical conference invitation letter
-Receipt of Conference payment
-hotel reservation booking printout
-International passport
-Bank statement of past 6 months

What else could be of support?

ikeja is faster recently. I applied last month and it took 3 wks plus to get the visa at Lekki . Though its no more vfs that is handling things now. You could be lucky to get it by wednesday. where did u apply ?

Yes I got it and there were lots of packages that were being sorted when i went there this afternoon. Hopefully, Yours should be ready as well dis week. Search for tickets has officially begun. FYI my visa had been stamped for the past two weeks already.

I just tracked online and it says 'Processed passport is in Transit to the UK Visa Application Center'

With 350k, I can travel twice if i book 3 months earlier by targeting those quiet season. I had already made plans on when to travel. But looking at those figures am seeing on their sites, I just might put it on hold....As at 2 weeks ago it was still like 170k

But the total cost is 582 pounds
Also I just realised flight prices for the month of august are ridiculously high on average 280,000 naira
Now do I use this august average or a genral average of around 180 to 190k

Infact as soon as i get my visa. I dont think i will travel again till end of d year. Those prices of ticket are ridiculous high...

blank: Funnily enough, i got the alert today and went to pick it up. The VFS centre was like a ghost town. Just skeletal services. Those "touts" that usually collect N300 had no business as the security were making the money parking the few people around.

And we all got our visas so that is off my mind.

Pls go through all your answers all over again. Ensure no mistakes please.....

Then you submit and sign the declaration by writing ur name. And then you make payment. Is your account activated for internet banking? For me it was very easy because i have a token as well which i got from my bank. After payment you will be able to print.


FYI before i paid, i picked the centre i wanted to submit. So if you like pick lekki or ikeja which is lagos OR you pick abuja.

thats not what she meant. there is a question that asks if you have any other passport? you choose YES.
And another question will ask: where is this passport? Choose IN MY POSSESSION.

So then you make sure you use rubberband to attach the new passport to the other one you have and submit it alongside all ur docs at the visa office.

Thanks for your words and its a renewal for my long term visa. it shldnt take long at all.
